I saw a rabbit get run over once when I was walking home from a previous job. It darted out from some bushes and accross the road, where it got caught under a car tyre. The car didn't slow down or try and swerve out of the way. The rabbit made a very distinctive *pop* as it was burst open by the pressure.

I always try to avoid roadkill but when they jump out right in front of you....

On another note, I read Fortean Times. There's plenty of wierd stuff in that magazine ranging from simulcra, to stories of strange happenings, to photos of the most unexpected events. They also have a column called "strange deaths", which has reports in of odd and ironic ways of people dieing. For example, one man in China shot and killed his friend because said friend told him that a local ant mound's ant population could predict the state lottery. It goes without saying that they didn't, hence the shooting

Happened during my N.S days. In the afternoon.

Me and some others where at the reception of the department I'm posted to. There were 4 of us and we were just talking when the meeting room that is locked and only officers are allowed to use. The door handle starts to rattle. Not in a gentle way. It's shaking hard. Like someone or something wants out of the room. it last for 5 seconds before it stopped. We did not say a word about this to anyone. Next day, happened again around the same time. Not sure on the history of the room. But some said the someone died inside. But, I'm not sure as when it happened, it was the 7th lunar month.
