@All the sony fanboys out there- IF IT WASN'T FOR NINTENDO SONY WOULDVE NEVER BEEN A GAMING COMPANY! Nintendo AND Sony worked together to make a Disc based system for the SNES. unfortunately nintendo abandoned the project the go on to develop the N64, while Sony stuck with the Disc system prototype, what is now known as THE PS FUCKING 1! here's the link to the info im using: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Playstation#Origins

@Zelda - Sure, the playstation may have been started and kickstarted by nintendo, but, in my opinion, nintendo's really lost their touch. After nintendo 64, playstation and xbox really took off and nintendo fell behind. There was really nothing good for gamecube IMO... besides maybe super smash bros melee. and it was the same thing with wii. With me and a lot of people I know who bought a wii, we played it for a month and had fun with it, then we put it away and never played it again. (unless there were friends over or a party going on). There's no debating that nintendo 64 games revolutionized the gaming industry, but after that it seemed to me like they stopped caring about consoles and focused more heavily on handheld systems.

I have all the major consoles out right now, minus any handhelds, I like Xbox for its community, PS3 for its hardware and games, Wii for its ability to entertain a crowd, and a gaming comp for whenever I want to mod a game (i.e. skyrim) In order, when it comes to games, I'd rank them: PS3, Comp, Xbox, Wii.

That's just my opinion, and to me, it doesn't matter how sony started, the only thing that matters is that I think they're better right now. One of the big deciding factors for me also is that the Wii has about the same power in their system as the PS2 did... Wii is a generation behind when it comes to consoles. again, that's just my opinion.

Personally i found the game cube great fun. I had about 5 games I played to death on that thing.
Wii didn't really have anything I saw and they grabbed me. Hot pursuit for the WII is complete crap and is a insult to the original which i played to death on the Gamecube.

i owned a bunch of games for the gamecube... the only ones i really played were SSB Melee, and the LoZ Gold Collection. Those two games were legit. Every other game I played wasn't very good IMO.

Anyway, i recently sold my Wii (FFFUUUU- no Skyward Sword!) but i got it primarily bc Smash Bros. Brawl and House of the Dead 2 &3! (yes it is a remake of the original arcade booth. its rated "M". (OMG THE WII HAS A RATED M GAME! THE END OF THE WORLD IS UPON US!) You just cant find the original arcade booth of House of the Dead or Carnevil anymore, and ive tried. We have a Contra and a Galaga/Ms. Pacman arcade booth/cabinet. good times. good times.
