I guess to clarify my last post I was looking for a list of good games to play. I know there's a bunch of good LoK stuff but its scattered across the interwebs. Also are guys like playshapes and toonpimp on here? Just wondering how connected everyone is.

Oh dang, you're right!

I need to re-explore the forum. I seriously only approve posts and check the Creative Corner and General threads. XD

Haha, that pretty much sounds like me a week ago, I need to get used to this forum, but stuff is better organised here though. Much less spam-topics, or at least neatly organised. I'm still pretty sure I'm sticking around here, even if it was only to help people out. Still used to being a moderator, haha.

Probably both.

Hello, LoK. I've been a lurker for a while, then realized that's kind of rude. So I created an account, and am now lamenting the fact that I can't install programs. (No RTP, no CS4, no installs at all. :/ )

Hmmm. Perhaps I can help, but you'll have to be a bit more precise. Send me a PM, I'll try to help.

I read something about it yes... *checks forums* Aha. Here it is. I do not play minecraft that much, so look up that topic for more info, haha.

I think we should poll how much time people lurked before joining xD

Considering the number that are still lurking, I'd say average time: 1 year or more.

i was lurking for about... 3... 4 weeks myself.

then again, you don't get much roleplaying done by hanging around.

Haha I believe it. It's pretty crazy to see a forum with like 80% guests. I didn't give registering much thought until I spotted this thread actually. Then I was all.. Hmm.. Why not?

So why the long average time?

I don't know. I suspect it might have to do with embarrassment; the new members don't want to make themselves known as people who frequent a forum devoted to making porn games.

As well, those who are only here for the games might not ever feel the need to speak their mind on the forum.

Look, a bandwagon! I'll jump on it!

I have been lurking for months (early 2012), but I never felt the need to register before. The reason was that most threads didn't really interest me, aside from the creative corner and even then most games for small and lost development quickly. I was never very active on forums I registered on anyway.
It was Ivan-Aedler who put so much devotion to the game who made me register. And now I have nearly 600 posts in half a year!

So from what I can gather, people need to be sparked/provoked first.

True. Very true. I tend to join forums immediately though, I can't keep my mouth shut when I'm browsing forums, which also explains my dislike for the anti-spam measurements. Necessary, but annoying. xD I think most people are unaware how much fun a good forum can be, be it a 18+ forum or not. The regulars often are nice people who tend to help out as much as they can, at least, at most of the forums. I'm quite the forum veteran, I think I've been actively visiting 20+ forums in the last years and even more lurking. Still, I never lurked much, but those forums often weren't interesting enough to post on. Anyway, I digress.

Posting is fun, come lurkers, show yourselves and we'll have a party! We'll have lots of fun!

Absolutely!

There's really everything here that makes any other forum great and I actually find there's a lot more fun to be had in participating than spectating. Even if nothing seems to intrigue you at first, just starting to make posts and getting involved might spark your interest in something you had never thought of before. Roleplaying, perhaps, or even starting up your own creative project.

Indeed. I enjoy chatting in General a ton, probably more than lurking in Creative Corner. If I ever do something creative, though, I think that'll change.
