ah the paper mario games. The way I saw it, 64 had the better storyline, and TTYD perfected the gameplay, but even though the story by the large part was different, there were too many similarities that I felt took away from the originality. you're still collecting stars, each new star gives you a new power, you collect most of the same characters and they do the same things. The first two partners you get are even practically copies of the first two partners in the previous game. the settings and bosses were unique though, if they had a bit more creativity with partners and power ups it would have been perfect.

And then there's super paper mario that can blow me because it moved away from teh rpg formula. I didn't buy a paper mario game to get screwed out of an RPG, that's like buying a GTA game without the sandbox nature to it.

but hey they got a new paper mario in development for the 3DS, so there's one reason to buy it.

i mean in the prologue part of the story, not end game. You know the scripted hopeless boss fight.

Yeah, most of all when it happens late in a game, I just about freaked out in chrono trigger when I had to loose the first fight to lavos. I was thinking 'wait am i suppose to lose or did i not level up enough?'

It's possible to beat the game there, Trunks, you get an extra ending for it. ^_^
I'm obsessed with full completion so, I never quit a game until I unlocked all I can, completed everything I can...It's a blessing and a curse

yeah there's a lot of multiple endings, but odds are unless you're doing it on newgame plus, you'll follow the storyline exactly your first playthrough.

I know all too well about that...I got like 47 out of 49 achievements on Dead Space and 48 out of 49 on ME 2...and now like two years later I'm going back and refreshing myself on ME 1 for the last like 13 achievements that I overlooked. My gamer profile on xbl lists just under 13 k points (a handfull of my friends have 25k - 50k) Being that I'm a whore for any kind of points you can also assume that my character on WoW (as i have talked plenty about in other posts) had about the same amount of points before I left almost a year ago. I put out apps at places to work but other than that i don't get out much (aka my room is the bat cave and I am BATMAN!) so you all can take comfort in that.

Yes. That game is fucking relentless. It's not like other RPGs where: "Oh here, you died? That's okay. Here's half your gold and on you go." NO. Demon Souls is like "Bitch! You fucking died? I'm taking half your fucking HP and ALL YOUR SOULS. What? You're calling the way you died cheap? Well, learn to target better, asshole. Oh, too many enemies hit you at once? Well, maybe you should learn to fucking roll! Oh, you want to roll, but you're on planks of wood above a giant dismal swamp? Maybe you should JUST GET BETTER. END OF CONVERSATIONS GO GET ME MORE SOULS."

Seriously. If you don't plan out a character at least minimally, you're pretty fucked for playthrough 2 and up. Fuck, don't even get me started. I love this game to death because it's damn hard and unforgiving at times and I've seen it makes 2 of my friends cry cause they couldn't get past a few spots no matter what they did.

The original Spyro the dragon anyone? I loved it so much that me and a few friends on my games course are making a bit of a homage to it! :)

Anyone else get+love Dead Space II?

I'll admit, it got a bit repetitive at the end, with seemingly endless necromorphs that only needed a good leg-removal and arm-amputation, but besides that I loved the atmosphere =)

Just beat Dead Space II on hardcore (second run through of the game), it is pretty fun game and I don't think I will ever get sick of it. However I preferred the first one way more in every way. Here is to hoping they make a third one on earth to wrap up the series.

I did it on hardcore 1st time through! D= You get so little ammunition! ><

It was actually terrifying having to run into a room you know is ceiling-high with necromorphs, armed only with 3 plasma cutter rounds =P

^ I did the hardest available difficulty the first time through, I mean the hardest difficulty was the one I just beat abov (save only three times allowed and each time you die you start at a save point, each hit is almost lethal (for the first while it is pretty much lethal, no ammo etc) The one you unlock after beating the game the first time.

Also the gun you unlock for beating the game on the hardest difficulty is so lawlsy "pew-pew-pew".

You utter badman!

And I don't think i'll ever even try that last difficulty level, that's there it starts to move away from being a game and becomes more of an obscure form of torture :?

"Officially" according to my xbox it took only 7 hours to beat the game on that difficulty, "Reality" took three days of non stop head banging, fun conversations, 2 rechargeable batteries, frustration, happyness, sorrow, and of course shitty my pants terror while I watch the (hundreds) of kill animations they have.
