I also prefer PC's as consoles. I also dislike the 'must connect to access the game' things (I know Microsoft doesnt do that entirely yet, but X-one would end up as Steam).
All is to combat piracy, but its also afflicting players' freedom with legit game cartridges CDs DVDs online ownership!

Xbox one is worse than Steam on so many levels. Hell, steam doesn't control a system. It's a piece of software you decide you want.
Now let's say i lose connection to my internet for a week. during those week, i can run any game i've run once and is on my computer with steam. (not perfect.) With Xbox, you HAVE to connect once a day to the internet. The used game sales annoying also.

Heard there's a way for the Xbox One to uninstall a game, thereby freeing up the game to be re-licensed for no cost. I don't know if this is true, but if it is it makes used games possible. It still keeps there from being loaner games.

From what i hear, this is true.
From my understanding is this. You buy a game, link it to your account. You then decide you hate the game so you sell your license and sell your disk to gamestop.
Gamestop sell the game to some sucker, and they get home only requiring you to pay a fee.

right now, it's very rumor based.

Well Xbox on their twitter account is saying that they arn't going to be charging fees to play pre-owned games. Here's the link but i'd wait to hear from a more "offical" site than twitter to confirm it.

I personally thought Microsoft did a good job on the reveal, even if people are now outraged about the downsides. They kept it under wraps for ages, and they had a tangible product to show for their efforts. I think I'll always prefer XBox over PlayStation, but I can see the benefits and disadvantages of both. And to me, there's nothing better than a 9 hour binge of console gaming. My eyes tend to hurt looking at a computer screen for too long. Although given the choice, I would much rather prefer a high end gaming PC than a console.

I prefer consoles just for the multiplayer. Sure, when I'm round a friend's house with a group of people we sometimes sit on our laptops and play Terraria or Minecraft, but playing a game on a single screen is much more fun.

Oh, hell to the yeah! I still have fond memories of my friend beating my ass at Halo 2, and then of me beating his ass at Halo 3. Ahh, good times.
