For me, it was really a gradual process. I started with live-action pornography, but at some point I realized that it wasn't convincing. At that point, I started looking for other things, hentai manga, porn games, and others. I got interested in bestiality, and from there furry was a pretty small step.

Of course there's a big difference between LoK furries and gay furry porn. One of them turns me on, the other doesn't.
