wait, game dev tycoon... sounds familiar. Is it that game where you make a game. also, the game which the developers released on piratebay to make sure ppl still got it from them (although they added a ''small'' feature, randomly causing your game to fail since all the income was lost to piracy)

Lol yes that is the game. When they first released it they put it on pirate bay with a "small feature" added. Basically, when you would reach a certain point in the game you would get a message about how people are pirating your games so sales will go down. So best idea would b to buy the actual game itself from the website.

It's challenging and fun. Would defiantly recommend it

sorry but this game is not just about the spreadsheets. that is the beauty of it. if you don't want to play it though that is fine. i think you also mentioned you don't want a game that you need a subscription for. i mean you can technically play eve for free, but then it becomes a job. not so fun imo.

Exactly, that's why I stopped playing it. Either become a carebear who plays it like a job to make ends meat by the end of the month, or become a pirating asshole, which is fun if you don't have a conscience. Yeah the art and graphics were nice (even for me with a shitty graphics card), but unless you can chuck out $15 a month for it, and actually work sometimes to get nice ships that'll just blow up, the game looses its fun very quickly, especially when you start training long skills.
