PERSONA! F*** YEA!

What is your favorite persona game, and for what reasons? For me, it is at a tie between 3 and 4, which is only broken by my preference over persona's 4 battle themes. If you played a persona game, you probably realise why this is such a big facter, for those who do not know, to get through the game requires grinding, not nearly as much as disgaea imo, but the game still requires a lot of grinding if you want to perfect it. I have played persona 1 and 2, but I still prefer 3 and 4, and am super psyched about persona 5.

Before I forget, I have not played any of the spinoffs.

Persona 3 is one of my favourite games simply by virtue of having been able to hold my attention through the tedium of 100%'ing it. That aside: I liked the setting, the art was good and the voice acting is pleasantly tolerable. I feel like FES wasn't a great contribution to the story, though; it was nice to explore more of Aegis's character, but I don't think it was worth sacrificing the nice ending of the original game just to add an epilogue irrelevant to the main story.

I haven't played it in nearly four-something years, though, and I've never played Persona 4. I have a strong interest in playing the PSP port of Revelations: Persona (aka Persona 1) since it restored the original JP elements they killed in the English PSX release. I hardly remember anything of Persona 2.

Its pretty much a tie between 3 and 4 for me, due to the fact that 3 had a much more interesting way of invoking personas, but 4's theme of Identity really struck me.

... I wonder how 5 will stack up to 3 and 4?
