Still play every so often. teir 3-5 mostly though I have a gold IS-6 and keep a few golded up teir 1-2s around for light tank fun. I love racing around in my little Light T-2! Also kinda annoyed with arty because no one protects against light tank rushers any more -_-.

Arty isn't worth shit anymore. After they nerfed the accuracy and fire rate, I can't get more than one or two hits off in an average match. Combined with the fact that disregarding arty mode, AT has better stats all around, it makes more sense for teams to ditch arty completely and rush.

Arty never was accurate but the RoF nerf is bullshit. Artilery teams could actually fire several shells off within a few minutes. It was how most of world war 1 was fought. It was a pairing of massive, constant artillery barrages and a horde of infantry rushing across an open plain. Then in WW2 it was a bit more accurate but still relied heavily on quantity over quality of the shots. It was and still is often one of the cheapest ways to get explosives raining on the enemy in a hurry.

They move fast, often have deflective armor that allows them to take one or two good hits, and can fire a bit faster than the opposition. They generally make great scout and ambush support tanks. They also tend to instill fear in an area with lots of cover because they can often pop in and out of cover shooting quick shots before you can even turn to respond. A small tank squad of 3 or 4 light ambush tanks with decent guns on them can track and tear apart enemies by hitting weak points and being able to outrun most others where a heavy or TD would be easier to out maneuver and run away from should you need to. Granted, sometimes their guns are just too small to do decent damage so they have to rely on the heavier units in their team to take out certian units but weakly armored arty or even TDs are cannon fodder to them.

Did you not see that it was a Leopard Prototype A? Average of 50mm armor all around. Does not take two good hits, because two shots from tier 10 tanks destroyers kill them. It is not nimble enough to be a scout. :P

Keep trying Staff Sergeant, the Leopard 1 is worth it.
