Kitsune is the singular word for kitsune while kitsune is the plural of kitsune.
The word is write like this " きつね” it can mean a few things. It could be a spirit or super natural create that has the form of a fox.
A fox with super natural powers of cuteness.
or a girl that is super natural in the sense that she has fox ears and a tail.... and that is the best fetish ever invented.
As for the japanese and their foreign words... Your speaking eigo which is a stupid non nonsensical language!
Japanese makes sense for the most part unlike english which has everything as a rule of thumb.
