Hmm, if the quantity of threads currently allowed per role-play is becoming an issue then one alternative could be to have a separate out-of-character Roleplay sub-forum, where role-plays can have any number of threads, which they then link to from the main, in-character thread. It wouldn't matter so much if an out-of-character sub-forum is messy, so long as it's not disrupting actual role-play, and people can get to the out of character threads that they need to. Obviously it'd still be within reason (no threads per-character or whatever), but maybe it'd make things easier? This way a role-play would only have a single thread in the main role-play forum.
On the issue of banning; I prefer to avoid banning users as much as possible so don't worry, only obvious spammers, advertising bots etc. get banned out-of-hand, everyone else gets fair warning first. People have asked in the past, but if I were ban happy then trunks2585 would have been out ages ago, but as it is I'm happy for him to still be here; as annoying as it can be to be called up on things all the time, it's not long I don't deserve some of it
