Background: Born to a small and weak noble family ruling over a small island, Galvin was raised in the interesting place of being the bottom of the top. Looked down by his peers, yet envied by isolated population of his island. It only became more complicated when his father fell ill after a grievous wound became infected and forced the 14 year old Galvin to take over finances during his father's incapacitation. Still, as luck would have it, he was born with a natural sharpness that allowed him to not only balance the books but also broker agreements with more powerful neighboring nobles to actually improve his standing over the years. Perhaps more importantly, the marquis taught him the importance of military and how to handle that aspect of being a lord. Having completed the training, he was officially engaged to the marquis's daughter, and returned home for the first time in years to be married. However as he took a boat to his island home he couldn't help but noticed the storm clouds gathering on the horizon.

You're barely conscious as the storm continues to get worse, the cold and wet around you is strange, you're pretty sure you should be in bed, no matter how bad the storm is rocking the boat. Your mind drifts out of focus once more, and you find you're in much better shape, the ground seeming to be solid once more, although your pillow is now very gritty. You'll need to wash it, just after this nap.

When you finally come to, your mind actually focusing properly, you hear a soft, routine grunting, and your feet are being kicked back and forth on occasion. Looking around, you realize that what's going on is you're being dragged somewhere. Looking past your back, you see a dark skinned woman with white hair and red eyes pulling on a giant leaf that seems to be what you're resting on. She doesn't seem to notice you're awake, and you've got a moment to study her, the strange antennae on her head drawing your attention. Is she a monster girl?

I jolt as I realize I'm being dragged. A monster girl! Shit... I've heard that they drag off men who never are seen again... and judging from the predicament I'm in, that's very clearly true. I begin looking for my knife I carry for self-defense. I've never had to use it and never was good at that kind of thing but I have to get away at least. Apprehension overcomes me though. Monster girls are incredibly powerful compared to humans. Can I even escape? Would I just make it worse for me by trying?

The girl hears your squelching movements, stopping and turning to you with a... positive if slightly dim smile. "You're awake! Can you walk? The monsters might be coming soon, we need to return to the nest." She nods to you, seemingly happy that you're awake and moving, which you have to admit, is more than most of the humans you know would do. Fumbling at your waterlogged and salt encrusted clothes, you do find your knife, already starting to rust thanks to the aggressive salty exposure. You also manage to slip and fall on your ass, the woman looking alarmed and approaching to help. It's a good chance... to stab... the girl who dragged you off a beach after a raging storm.

The original one didn't provide a set of images for each breed per species, but this is supposed to be a worker or scout drone. So, she's fairly nice, but not that bright, and most of them are going to look fairly similar.

Oh shit! It can talk! I swing the knife in a wide arc to try and force it back as I get on my feet. I look around for a path to escape.

She's still smiling until your knife hits her, taking off a layer of skin and scraping along... something underneath it, the same color as her antennae. "Ow! Why did you do that? You're not a predator species! We're supposed to be friends." After your slash, her hand darts out, not faster than you can see, but certainly faster than your exhausted reflexes can handle, her hand gripping your wrist and locking in place, like an iron manacle. She rubs at her damaged arm with a frown on her face.

I let out a groan of pain at the sudden death grip on my wrist. I grip her hand with my other one trying to pull her off as I retort, "I'm not your friend! I got to get to mine! Leave me alone!"

Her hand doesn't budge, almost flexing as you pull at her with your entire body weight. You're not a fighter, but you're pretty sure that's a very bad thing. The woman cocks her head, but pulls you up on her shoulder and begins to walk more. Dammit, she's so strong even though she only comes up to your shoulder! "No, I have to get you to the nest. Then I can go scouting more." She says, and while she doesn't seem too smart, she's incredibly stubborn, and now you're no longer being dragged in relative comfort, but shucked over her narrow shoulder like a sack of grain.

"I'm not part of your nest! Leave me alone," I plead as I'm held like a particularly uncooperative sack of flour.

"But you're interesting! The princess will need to check you out." She says, and she's beginning to actually cover quite a bit of ground now that she's not as concerned about your comfort as she was when she was dragging you on top of a giant leaf. She quickly begins to ascend a small cliff face, finding a cave series that she seems to be living in, and heading in. You start to see a much larger number of girls with a very similar appearance, although most of them are smaller, but some are absolutely massive with rippling muscles and chiten. All in all, there's probably at least two dozen bug girls wandering around. Finally setting you down, there's a taller version of the same, although this one looks you over with much more intelligence than the others. "Well, I must say, this is a surprise. A human male."

"I'm not interesting! I'm the most boring motherfucker around!" I retort desperately as I get kidnapped. By the time we reach the destination my hopes of escape are replaced by fear of falling to my death should I attempt it. As I'm plopped down in the middle of more monster girls then I can hope to escape, a sinking feeling takes hold of my heart. "Same, but then again, with how my day has been going, maybe it's moved into the realm of 'to be expected,'" I retort bitterly.

The taller, more regal bug woman waves the bug woman that brought you to them away, and she quickly darts away, occasionally sniffing at the ground. "You'll have to forgive my scouts, they are much more of a 'find something, show the boss' mindset, and are difficult to dissuade from such. Still, it is interesting that I found a male. Is there a new human group seeking to colonize this island?" She asks you, cocking her head. Well... you can at least find someone who has the right mindset. She's definitely the one in charge. You can at least work with her, as she's discussing things rather than just picking you up and doing whatever she wants.

"If I was, I wouldn't be taken so easily as I would have hardly been alone. My... landing was... shall we say, unplanned," I retort, "Still you may very well have trouble should you try to restrain me. I am a son of a noble and he will try to look for me with force." The last bit is a lie as... well I don't think anyone knew this island even exists, much more where to actually find it. Still no need to let her know that I have no room to negotiate and instead get what ever leverage, real or imagined, I can.

She gives you a light smile at the idea of how you wouldn't be taken so easily, as she likely saw you being carried and knows it certainly wouldn't be your own doing. The regal bug woman looks to one side, giving another one clutching a small book a slight nod, and that one dashes away, likely seeking to do something. That... that might not be good. "Ah, a princeling of some sort. Alas, my new kingdom is not quite at the point that we can afford to keep a guest in lavish accoutrements as you may be used to. If you do not wish to cooperate, I shall have you transferred elsewhere, so that when something eats you, it will not be blamed on us." Well... that's a hell of a bluff to call you on. You vaguely recall that bug girls tend to be surrounded by other predatory species, many of which are much less interested in talking.

"Yes, well you don't know us humans very well do you? That won't save you, as they'd be quite happy to burn down this entire island if that happens," I retort with a grin, "Besides, you can't expect me to cooperate if there is nothing in it for me. So why don't you sell me on why I should?"

"I suppose another question is what do you have that you can offer us for the price of feeding, protecting, and housing you?" She asks, a bit curious. "You're not a drone, but you are a male, so I suppose you could be useful for fertilizing eggs. Otherwise, you'll need to figure out some way to pay me back."

"Except for the fact that I neither asked, nor wished for your shelter," I retort to her laughable attempt to flip this back on me before bringing it back to my point, "If you don't want to spare the expense I would be very happy to just walk out, removing that need. If you do not wish to do so, and expect me cooperate then you will indeed need to offer me a reason to do so."

"Well, I suppose there could be the offer of shelter and support if you desire. If you do want to leave, I will have a scout follow you, to collect your eventual corpse." She's puffed out her cheek, a bit of petulance shinning through.

"Not required," I say with a smile as I get up, preparing to head for the exit, "Besides didn't you want to dump my corpse somewhere you won't be blamed? Why go through the effort of retrieving it?"

"Wait!" She lets her facade break a bit as she panics about you leaving. "What do you want human?" She cocks her head.

"Information would be a nice start. What is this island?" I replied with quickness now that she's being cooperative rather then demanding.
