Bio:
It is unknown whether or not the chip on Aesa's shoulder is part of her genetic makeup or character flaw, but she has always been striving to prove herself as any birthed from the Iron Womb with Kerensky blood are want to do, only it is more pronounced in Aesa. Perhaps from her height, being a full head shorter than the next shortest member of her Sibko, she always tried to show she was better than her siblings. If success was a substitute for a personality than Aesa achieved it, frequently topping or sharing top scores with only one other in her sibko, Alec, though Alec always bested in his psychical trials due to his extra height. Alec was everything she wasn't, outgoing, a charismatic leader who lead by inspiration, not because he was put in charge.Alec was the most popular in the Sibko, coupling as freely as he wanted, while Aesa was the lone wolf and few showed interest in her physically when so many others in the sibko were more endowed.

By the end of their Mechwarrior training only Aesa and Alec were left of their sibko, not unusual for other sibkos but Kerenskies were pushed harder. In their Blooding, Aesa strove to match her Idol, Natasha Kerensky who had attained the rank of Star Colonel from such a trial. If one Kerensky woman could do than so could Aesa. She quickly dealt with her first opponent as did Alec, but as she positioned herself to finish off her second her the rear of her mech was shredded. Alec had decided to start a Melee, downing Aesa and her crippled opponent quickly before he was overwhelmed by the other mechs.

With little redress, Mechwarrior Aesa was forced to watch the laurels laid upon her sibkin brother and traitor Star Commander Alec, now forever outranking her. With her codex showing only the one victory, Aesa was forced to wait in the lists of other basic Mechwarriors waiting for a position to open up, praying the invasion didn't start without them and as she watched Alec ascend to a fighting unit.

Attached for the time to the training field, she begun shaping the next wave of Mechwarriors, though few measured up to her standards. She had just finished another cadet's dreams of glory in the Blooding when the announcement came, the day had come... and she was stuck where she was... a week later a different announcement came, a tragic fueling accident had lead to a Bloodname becoming free, a Kerensky Bloodname. The top contenders for the name had already shipped out for the Invasion, to turn back meant risking losing their spot in the grand calling. Aesa forced her training Commander to sponsor her, and in the rushed trial she claimed something even Alec couldn't fathom achieving for even years to come, Aesa was a Kerensky.

Requisitioning the fastest ship big enough to carry her Timber Wolf, she sped after the invasion. They couldn't refuse her, couldn't refuse a Bloodnamed Kerensky. She caught up with the tail of the fleet just as the invasion launched, initiating a trial of possession to become a point, any point in the star of Mechs. It didn't matter she was on the edge of the invasion corridor on a back water world, she was here, a Mechwarrior doing what every Clan warrior had dreamt of for ages.

NPCs: 1st Heavy Star, Beta Galaxy,

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Point 1 -Summoner - Star Captain Cerber - a brute of a Mechwarrior, some joke behind his back that he was part of an experimental sibko to see if Elementals could pilot Mechs. Savage and forceful are the defining traits of his tactics and leadership, having little time for cunning or games, he prefers to charge in and smash his opponent and tear them up at close range. Cerber perhaps takes the imagery of the Wolf too far, believing himself to be the Alpha of his pack/star and using the same cruelty he shows on the battlefield during coupling to keep his pilots in line. If they do well he rewards them, sharing 'His' females with the other male pilots or punishing them if they do something wrong. Cerber felt he had just got everything in his Star in order when it was thrown out of whack again but a new female Mechwarrior. She had the audacity to kill one of his bitches and take her place as point 5... but a Kerensky.. well that could be something interesting to tame and put in it's place.

Point 2 - Timber Wolf - Mechwarrior Zoya - a freeborn Pilot, Zoya has struggled everyday to get where she is in the face of the discrimination Freeborns suffer through. She has thrown her lot in with Cerber, knowing any success she could hope to have will come from him. Sure he is a beast, and has his demands, but know one makes fun of her when he is around. She doesn't mind that Mechwarrior Alina, the old Point 5, died in a trial... but now she has to deal with a stuck up Bloodnamed trueborn... piloting the same mech was her... and there's one less Bitch to be passed around until Cerber brakes in the new wolf... what if Cerber likes her better than her... Zoya doesn't like all this change or where she might now fit in.

Point 3 - Ebon Jaguar - Mechwarrior Kenn - a toady of Cerber, lacking the guts to ever argue with the larger man after he made the mistake one time. Has a smart mouth and a cruel heart when Cerber isn't around and dreams toppling Cerber one day to lead the Star (and have first dibs coupling with it's Bitches).

Point 4 - Mad Dog - Mechwarrior Aulus - More down to earth and professional than the others, Aulus is confident in his quiet. Cerber maybe a bully and throw some strange parties, but he gets the job done so far. Aulus has never been one for Cerber's games but he still shows the same cruel hardness of a Clan Warrior, he follows Cerber because there hasn't been a better Star Captain around so far.

After training for all your life Aesa Kerensky the time was now to prove yourself yourself and collect honor for clan wolf. The time was now to take back the inner sphere as its rulers. The first planet you were drop was planet called Manaringaine a periphery world. Intel believed to be one maybe two lance battle mech division defending the world, there no warships defending the planet so warship support has been bid away for this land invasion. It has been decided that one star will go down alone deal these savage as you’ll gain more honor this way. Everyone make their way to the dropship as your start starts to make planet fall. The DropShips peal out thunder, shrieking down through cloven skies

Aesa calmly ran her fingers along the cool armour plating of her Timber Wolf, triple checking everything was in order. It was not that she did not trust the Mechtech scurrying around below her on the gantry, that trust was implicit, the man would not be part of combat unit if anything about his ability was circumspect. It was more that he wasn't her Mechtech, her old Mechtech, she corrected herself.

The year at the training ground had gotten her used to or comfortable with her old tech, A trueborn cadet who had failed training, turning out to be better at working on a mech than piloting one. Too many of the Tech caste were freeborn for her liking, and by the way the man below her spoke with contractions she was sure he was a freeborn. She had only met the man after her Trial of Possession yesterday, when she had claimed the Point 5 spot for the star heading down to the planet. The Mechbay had been a hive of activity ever since as the Techs quickly stored or broke down the old Point 5s Hellbringer and installed her Timberwolf in its rightful spot.

Aesa pondered for a moment if she should have bothered to have learned the old Point 5's name, but quickly shrugged it off as she saw the rest of the Star arrive in the bay below.

They would not have been her first choice by a long shot, but they were what she was presented with first and feared if she pressed on to find a better Star she may have missed her chance. After the trial she had spent the night alone, reading their codices while they performed some pointless tradition for the woman Aesa had bested and killed in the trial. To Aesa it had been a waste of time that could have been used in strategy and form a cohesive plan for the operation, that she - a Kerensky - needed it.

Cerber's face read as straight forward as his codex, he a brute, a brawler who overwhelmed his enemy quickly with sheer firepower and aggression with little time for finesse. For the honour of it being his Star to have the honour of planet fall he had bid away all but the barest infantry support needed to secure whatever ground and resources they captured. It was not a plan or strategy Aesa was fully comfortable with, but it didn't matter... she wasn't planning to remain as Point 5 of this Star for long, the universe owed her far more than that.

Aesa refused to let the sneer of contempt she had for the next pilot through the door, the Freeborn Zoya. While the 16th Battlecluster's debacle on the planet Glory a few years back had proven that some Freeborns could hold their own, Aesa still did not trust the woman. Perhaps it was the way she clung to Cerber, fearful of but needy of his attention that repulsed her, or the Freeborn's jealous eyes that glared daggers at Aesa every time they were in the same room together.

She thought even less of Mechwarrior Kenn, at least Zoya must have proven herself to get her slot in the Star, but the greasy, weasel of a man was far from what Aesa would hold up as examples of what a Clan Wolf Warrior should be. There were too many of his kind even in the Clans for her liking.

Aulus was a mystery to her, one she noted to dig into later when she had time. He was not like the others, reserved, watchful. The rest were yapping jackals, snapping and chasing what ever prey they saw, he was the sly and patient, the wolf who waited for the right moment to strike its prey. He was the only one who looked up and watched her as they entered, a strange flutter erupted deep inside Aesa's stomach as she wondered if he saw her as a wolf or piece of prey.

The sudden blaring of the klaxons brought her sharply back to reality. The dropship was making it's reentry, it was time, time for the Wolves to run wild across the Inner Sphere as was there right. Her boots clanged loudly off the gantry as she ran for her cockpit, slowing a bit to make sure she kept some dignity. She paused to calmly run her hand along the smooth, cool armoured panel of her Timberwolf again before climbing in. She felt peace at the moment, a relative calm from the flurry of emotions that ran though her as she could hear the ship creek and groan from the growing heat and stress of re-entry. The declaration for the invasion has troubled her, that the foolhardy crusaders could have mistook and misappropriated her namesakes words so, was irritating beyond measure... but it was also prophecy instilled in her since birth from the remembrance, what was the point of her and her Mech's existence if not for this

Settling into the command couch, connecting the piping for the cooling panel in her jumpsuit, she pushed out the thoughts as she pulled on her helmet. The sensation of connecting with the Mech was always a rush for her, like she was stepping into her real skin - like in those novels she kept and read. This was her, her true self; agile, mobile, hostile, of singular mind and purpose unweighed by doubt or fear. Let the other Clan's sprint ahead to the big prizes, leaving resistance behind to nip and bite their heels as they passed. Aesa's textbooks had been filled with folly of generals who had made this mistake and suffered in the long run. Clan Wolf was here now, she was here, and Aesa would show everyone just how a Kerensky fought their battles.

Strapping herself into the cockpit, Aesa began to go through her pre-ignition checklist and she regretted suddenly taking a class on engineering and atmospheric re-entry as the dropship bucked and shook violently. She was buffeted around inside her cockpit, mind racing and focusing on every little minor detail that could go wrong and lead to her fiery death. That could die before she had even faced battle was anathema to her. A cracked cooling line, a fastener on the hull plating improperly fastened, all things that could be overlooked, ignored in haste or complacency was all it would take to destroy a future military genius like herself.

Instead, she hummed to herself the Ode to Joy, using the skills of a musical class she had felt had been a waste of her time until this moment. It seemed appropriate to her somehow, yes, the Daughters of Elysium had come, drunk with fire to bind all men of the Inner Sphere as brothers. Yes, the ode was appropriate, and calmed her nerves.

As the droppedship land of the dropship hatch opens. The start deploys in very dese wood area birds and rodents leave the area as your mech stomp thought the environment trace of battle long ago sprinkle thought the forest some battlemech shell that have been left for nature to reclaim one mech you’ll notice will have a house kurita emblem on thought fade out.as your star make way thought woods you get feeling you be watched it then at this point your sensor pick something up a light mech what look to be spider peeking out from one of the big trees.

Cerber will start to open fire on it mech shooting down the down some of the tree as the spider mech just start booking it. as everyone follow suit as looked like the mech wasn’t going to stand and fight. You could follow captain may see about locking your LRM at thought you be shooting thought heavy woods make hard to get a full salvo to hit.

Aesa let out a small sigh of relief as she saw the mechbay ramp cracking open, letting in the first rays of sun of this alien planet. She was tempted to move forward immediately, to feel the thud of her heavy feet reverberate up though the command couch and into her, to be the first Clan Mech to step foot on this world... but she knew that honour technically belonged to Cerber and the commander of the star, so she waited her turn.

Maneuvering her Timber Wolf down the ramp after Aulus's Mad Dog, she started to scan around the area for danger. The dropship had charred a section of forest to black ash as it landed, lungfuls of black ash lifting into the air with each footfall of the mechs, staining their legs black.

The landing zone was an error, she thought as she checked the larger tactical readout of the area on one of her screens. Cerber was being too aggressive in his moves, pushing them as far forward to the objective as he could. Aesa would have picked the open plains to the east, they would have been exposed but so would any enemy; the Star's firepower at range and ability to stand off should have been far superior than the locals could muster.

Instead they were traipsing through the woods, trying to weave between trees carefully to not snag or trip - they could ill afford to lose a Mech due to pilot error. Aesa turned her nose up as they started to see the old fallen mechs, a sign of the decadence, corruption and waste of the Inner Sphere. The Clans would never have allowed these Mechs to rot here in squalor and dishonor, they would have been salvaged, repaired or recycled to have some use again, not just thrown away.

Her eyes suddenly to darted out to the forest as her sensors picked up the first contact, hearing Cerber's opening salvo even through the insulation of her cockpit. She was tempted to join in, the instinct of the predator was to hunt the prey, but she restrained herself. The Spider was insignificant in its firepower or ability to resist, it could nip and bite if it got close enough but posed no real threat. She checked her stores and knew she still had a full count of LRMs for her shoulders, but to engage such overwhelming force would be wasteful. She considered the terrain, weighing up the odds of a the missiles making it through the woods and decided against it, too much risk of collateral damage for it to be worth it.

Besides, the real danger from the Mech lay in it's intelligence, alerting and directing enemy forces on to their position, but Aesa wanted that. Let the Inner Sphere Freebirths come out and face them, let her show these upstarts what a true Mechwarrior was, it was better that way, better than having to flush them out like rats.

She slashed out in the woods with her ER Large Lasers, swinging them weapons in her arms slightly ahead of the spider. If she didn't hit him she hoped to at least force him to alter his course, force the insect out of the woods onto the plains where she might risk letting the missile pods on her shoulders bark and bite.

As the star chase the spider thought the wood it start to get denser making hard to for the mover heavy mech to navigate thought the woods as you brush start get so thick that make it hard the Mechwarrior to see five meter ahead of them make only possible to follow the spider thought radar. And Cerber shoot rounds at it thought he only seem to be hitting woods. At this point the start make their way out of the tree brush.

There is a field that look to have been clear cut in the middle of the woods as your star advance forwards many pings pick on your radar 10 vehicles, 2 heavy mech, and two assaulted wait on the other end of the clear cunt woods wait in the tree line. “Mechwarrior to battle!” you hear Cerber call out as he and other three run into in clear cut area except for Aulus as he say in the coms “hold up this is a Trap!” thought his warning is felt on deaths ears as Zoya and Kenn fall into pitfall traps well Cerber avoids the same fate by use his jumpiest. thought this seam to made him a prime target for the firing line on the other side as he peppered with AC5, AC10 and PPC fire thought luckily still standing thought most of his weapons knocked out expect for the LRM. as keep to push only for he mech legs to be blown up by land minds.

At closer inspection you could see there are from this point was booby trapped with mines and other kinds of gorilla based traps. And at this point three lights at your rear light up two mediums and one light mech approaching the rear. your star was surrounded.

Aesa's lips curled back slightly as they harried the prey, the sleek armoured behemoth she piloted feeling as light as her own body. The Timberwolf was her real self, it made he a true wolf. Years before she had found a hidden stockpile of old paper books in a Brian cache, pointless fiction not worth the time of a warrior, but she had secreted a few. The narrative was a trash, a soppy romance she could not really understand with her upbringing, but the characters had called to her. They were a strange, supernatural thing, men and women who could shift their forms into wolves, that called to Aesa, it was what she thought of every time she pulled on her neurohelmet and slipped into the skin of her Timber Wolf.... but the chase was going too long...

It had been too long since she had opportunity to slash her lasers at the annoying gnat, the initial thrill of weaving between the trees was now taxing and frustrating, every thud of Cerber's weapons a reminder that they were wasting time, fuel and munitions on this foolish chase. She had tried contacting Cerber, to 'suggest' - she could not order - that they give up the chase and return to the mission. Hitting the objective would force the enemy to respond, but he had already cut comms. with her.

The sinking feeling increased as they made the clearing, her stomach a pit as her sensors lit up with contacts, the Spider had led them straight into its parlour. She cursed herself under her breath that she had not seen it quicker or made Cerber listen. Instead she was caught flat footed as the first three points of the star charged off, Aulus' own warning echoing through her comms after the wild wolves to no end.

Eyes darting from her screens to view out of the cockpit, her mind raced for a strategy as the contacts pinged behind them. Should they surrender? Another wave of Clan Mechwarriors would be down soon who could rescue them, the shame would fall purely on Cerber as the Star Captain and... no... she would not allow her first battle to be recorded as a loss on her codex, the first battle of Clan Wolf in this crusade could not end this ignominiously. Quickly, switched her comms to talk to Aulus, the only other Wolf with a brain inside his head apparently

"Aulus, I am taking command. Quiaff" She added, making sure he knew it wasn't a question or up for debate.

There was no way this was mere accident, this killing field had been set up long in advance, probably before the Wolf fleet had even appeared in orbit and the Batchall was declared. She thought back to the mix of wrecks they had passed on the way and realized Cerber had not been the only commander lured in by the prime landing zone so near the key targets any force would need to take. These bandits thought they owned the woods, the wildness belonged to Wolves, and Aesa had spotted a weakness in their plan and she would exploit it with the same cruelty that they had tricked her with.

She ran her plan through her mind, tracking each movement of forces on an imaginary map rather than waste more time drawing it on her tactical display. She had to assume it was only her and Aulus now, Cerber was out of action if not dead, and who knew if the fall had killed or crushed Zoya and Kenn in their cockpits. There was still the reinforcements that Cerber had wagered away on the dropship, ready in case they were needed. It would be a lose of honour, though she could blame Cerber, to call them in, but the plan did not need them just yet.

"Aulus, engage vehicles with LRMs, one volley than reverse back into the tree line, about face and advance," she barked at the Mechwarrior, expecting him to act rather than question.

Disengaging her weapons safety she twisted the Timberwolf's torso to to the right and slashed her large lasers into the trees on the side of the clearing. Stepping back as she pivoted the torso back left, she didn't wait for a full lock before sending a barrage of LRMs at the platoon of armoured vehicles, trying to scatter the barrage amidst them rather than focus on one. The barrage gave her time to cycle the lasers and slash again before she was back in the trees and turning to push towards the Medium and light contact behind them head on.

The Freebirths had stacked their forces too lopsided. Their lumbering heavy and Assault mechs were ponderous, not a match for the sleek and agile Timberwolf and Mad Dog. The vehicles had proved the real hassle to her plan, light and nimble enough to get through the trees easier than a mech and nip at their heels the whole time. She didn't need a total kill on the vehicles, she hoped the combined 80 LRMS launched by her and Aulus had detracked, shredded tires or otherwise immobilized some of them. With any luck, the barrage may also have kicked off a small fire in the woods they crews would need to deal with or burn.

That had been the point of her lasers too, slashed into the foliage to set it alight as deep her beams penetrated, she wanted fires on either side of the clearing. Those lumbering, brawling, junkers would have to travel wide around the clearing, it would be insanity to risk going through it. The spreading fires on either side of the clearing would make them have to go wider, take more time to come around, or risk damage or munition cooking off internally. Aesa needed time, time to deal with sneaky rats who had slipped behind them, time to get out the woods and onto the open plains beyond.

No Innersphere medium mech was going to hold up long to a Heavy Clan Omni, the reports her sister, Natasha Kerensky had sent back from her time with the Wolf Dragoons said as much. The Inner Sphere tech was inferior, their weapons lacked the range and power of the Clans, but Aesa could only bring that advantage to bear in the open, not the claustrophobic woods. Not many Clan Warriors would have referred to even their Sibkin as a brother or sister, the concept of family alien and foreign, but to Aesa, Natasha was something more. More than just a genetic relation, and fellow Warrior, one day she would meet her sister and Aesa was damned sure she they would stand as equals.

She snarled as she brought the Timber Wolf up to speed, leaning forward in the command couch as she weaved through the trees straight at the advancing Mechs.

"Point 4," she barked again, "We hit them hard but keep moving, aim for their legs if needed, we move to the tundra."

Aesa's eyes were locked on of the woods outside her cockpit, the lethal brace of medium and large lasers ready for the instant she saw a Mech.

As you take command of the start you here back from Aulus. “aff lead “ and some angry growling from Cerber's thought his mech is face down in the ground he was about to get busy with the some Infantry men why were coming out of the wood works as he would be stock exchanging shot with them from his cockpit. Meanwhile Zoya and ken will call back that they are ok thought they going to need help to get out of the all hole they if need they could blind fire there torso mounted weaponry thought only a head of them .

Aulus will flow as instructed firing a volley on the vehicles take out two as he advances back. As you fire your volley of missile I n more spread out pattern peppered the other vehicles give you other star one the vehicles destroying tow more there were six more left . as you fire into the tree line to into the tree line to try set it a light the fire seam to be going rather slow if had some inferno Missiles or flamer maybe this would work better thought one tree are on fire but it will be a slow burn.
as you turn back to face the enemy behind you see two PPC fly over you head and feel one rock your mech a little well in the left rear of your torso blowing off the armor but luckily it didn’t hit the engine or the ammo. The other assault mech fire four AC ten shots at Aulus only two shot land true hitting his left arm and right leg thought his armor seam to keep him standing for now. Meanwhile the two heavy mechs seam to moving you notice haven’t really fired all yet as they move opposite of the woods seam to move almost a fast timber wolf your computer checks that they are both Marauder thought these one have been customize to be more brawlers than snipers they seem to be closing in on Aulus.

As you turn to face the flanking lance there lay before you is a two black jacks and behind them a tall spooky skull face towering over the two a mechs looking as powerful as possible, as impenetrable as possible, and as ugly and foreboding as conceivable, so that fear itself will be their ally. Thought your computer will soon pick it was an urbanmech. As you take second look you will soon realize they painted urbanmech torso to look like an atlas face sitting on a rather big rock. They will soon start to open fire on you. Also you pick up that spider mech on the radar again seeming to be coming back to help his lance mates

Aesa grinned as Aulus immediately fell into the line and their initial volleys bore some fruit before they backed into the trees.

"Points Two and Three, play dead until we have lured the Mechs away, then see if you can stop Point One from having the honour of being the first Wolf captured by these Free Births" She had trouble keeping the glee from her voice.

Calling Cerber Point One instead of by his name or rank amused her, a slight of face she could adequately explain away of not wanting to confuse the new command structure of lance but would still drive the point home to all that listened.

Her mirth was nearly cut short at glimpse she saw through her viewport, how could the assault mechs have gotten around... no... she snarled more savagely she saw what the squat mech actually was.Compared to her Timberwolf the Urbanmech was nothing, but she knew its autocannon could still sting.

"Point 4, target the Urbanmech's weapon arm," She barked orders to Aulus, "We assault through, do not tarry."

Changing her priority, she targeted one of the Blackjacks with her own weapons, trusting Aulus's gunnery and his pulse lasers ability to strip metal and armour quickly. She knew from the tactical briefings and readouts that armour on it's weapon arms was weak, but Aesa didn't have time to play just yet. The Free Birth Heavies were keeping pace, not gaining, but she couldn't afford to waste time with this riff raff. She stabbed out with her large lasers at the first Blackjacks left knee, adding in her medium lasers as the distance closed. If the first Mech toppled she would switch the slash at the second Mech's knees, wanting to slow them down from being able to chase or over take.

Without it's weapon the Urbanmech was too slow too keep chase and would like the ability to affect the fight, essentially ridding it from the field. The Blackjacks could be dealt with alongside the two Marauders if her and Aulus managed to break out to the plains beyond the forest, allowing the Timberwolf and Mad Dog to exploit their range.

Feeling the heat rise in her cockpit she slashed again with lasers, growling as she saw the new sensor contact trying to re-engage. She swore, if they managed to get out of this, she would claim that pilot of the annoying Spider purely out of spite.

You hear aft lead from two mech warriors in the pit trap thought seam to somewhat disappointed of having to take a note out of clan possums codex. Aulus will compiles with orders as he try to clip the the urban mech thought it would also urban mech pilot also know most enemy would go for it AC ten as it twist it torso just in time let it other side take the hit as it use it jump jet to come flying down like a cannon ball on Aulus. both mech down from this.

As you open fire on the two blackjack first get it leg badly damage from your laser fire as fall down on it back. Thought it look like it will try to get back up later meanwhile the other blackjack will use it jump jet move to left try to see it make self-prime target as to cover for his down lance mate.

As this happening the Infantry have capture Cerber's as five men drag back in cuff to a APC. as the next wave is send to deal with the mech in the pit traps. Kenn being out gun and have no way really fight back end give himself up as it would seem he valued his life more than his honor Zoya on the other hand try to use her timber wolfs machine guns to shoot at Infantry trying to raid her mech until gun from the assaults mech fire on the trapped timber wolf forcing her eject as the mech blows up.

The two heavy seem to be getting closer thought seem to be holding fire to close in as you’ll notice the Marauder have trade out their PPCs for 2 more mediums laser and their AC 5 for a AC 20 and they use jump jet to make harder to hit them. It around this point the see the spider pop out of the trees line up perfectly to your site you could take shot now take out it leg or head thought your heat so high you could risk a shut down the Marauders was closing in fast or then there was the Blackjack thing were start to look bleak.

Aesa snarled in rage at the impudence of these lowly freebirths. While the capture of the other point 1 through 3 was no unexpected, it was still a black mark and she had hoped for more time. The stupid trashcan of a mech wrecking the Mad Dog was a whole other slight against honour.

"Aulus, can you still move?" She radioed, him, sending him a nav point to travel to if he could.

Assessing the threat she knew staying to fight ludicrous, one against five was stupid, not honorable. Pushing the Timber Wolf to top speed she dashed through the trees, tracking the clan double heat sinks drop the temp despite her speed. She checked her screens again to make sure the rag tag force of mechs was following as she burst out finally from the trees onto the open rolling plains. She cursed under her breath as all the wasted plans she had formed to destroy the Freebirths here, ruined by that stupid Urbanmech.

Checking the tactical map, she looked to see if Aulus had been able to make his assigned destination. If he had then he should have been able to bombard her pursuers with his LRMs if they were functional. With any luck that would cause them to pause or turn to face the new threat, allowing her to pirouette the Timber Wolf and start engaging at range as well. If not she would just need to risk it, turning her torso and reversing back as she fired, aiming for the legs again to try and maintain the distance between them.

As you make dash thought the woods to cool down Aulus way call back. “I let you know in sec I just need to…. Oh sun of….” You hear static as him and the urbanmech get up at same time only then to have the two murders facing his back AC/20 lined up. He try to flow you lead like you told him only to get his leg blown clean off by the shots. As his fall forward face down into the tree. “I’m ok thought I don’t think I will be of any use now…I’m sorry.”

The only mech that following you is the one blackjack and the spider are try to follow you shooting AC 2 and medium laser at you the blackjack seem to be have trouble hitting thought spider is dead on hit your exposed rear getting one engine hit in if they shoot there again the engine could go critical. You notice on the radar that two Assault mechs were make their way slowly to the field now thought by the time they got there the fight would be over.

Aesa felt the sweat on her back turn cold as she realized she was now the only Wolf still on the field. She contemplated sending the distress signal, to send the next wave of Wolves in, the crusade would not falter on this world. Feeling the Spider's lasers bite into her mech the thought was snatched from her mind by rage as she spun the Timberwolf around, twisting the torso as she did to bring her teeth to bear faster.

The Spider filled her view screens, out in the open with no place to hide now she unleashed her medium and pulse lasers upon him. The foolish Freebirth's armour was no match for the firepower of true Clan warrior and she flashed her teeth as she watched armour and internal melt and slough off the annoying insect.

Her heavier armour now facing forward, she continued to back up as she switched her target to the Blackjack, slashing her large lasers over it as well, adding the green matrix of her medium lasers if it was foolish enough to come into range like the spider had. Once it too was a smoking pile of slag she stopped to catch her breath, letting the heat dissipate as she switched her comms to an open broadcast.

"This is Mechwarrior Aesa Kerensky of the 1st Heavy Star, Beta Galaxy, to the defenders of this world," She snarled over the net, "Your Planet is already forfeit but you may still end this with honor. Send your best warrior me alone and we shall settle this without further destruction, refuse and we shall rain fire down upon everything before us. Send me your champion, and when he falls I shall let you lay down your weapons with honor"

As you fill the spider full holes takeing out arms and legs as it become a sparking mess with your lasers it head will eject from its body getting safely away from the battlefield Blackjack the same story thought as it also punches out.

As get a replay there bit quit until some “Kerensky like Aleksandr Kerensky General of the SLDF” there another pause. “are HPG network down long time is it true that first lord has fallen?” it seem that this planet has not really been given news since periphery uprising. “This is SLDF Acting Captain Jessie Snow of the 69th Garrison unit “the other mech hold their fire they do surround you now. “ we been getting attack a lot be the Draconis Combine for past centuries so we kind of assumed you were with them.” The feed kind flickers “also are those marauder or catapult that you guys are using are computers seam to can’t make up its mine it keep going MAD….CAT….MAD ….CAT?” she rubs the back of her head. “but ya if want to tell us what going on we are willing to stand down as there not need to fight if we are on the same side…right?” she sounds embarrassed

"Errrrrrrr.... what?" Aesa mumbled to herself, happy her comms weren't open as she looked blankly out the view screen with piqued eyebrow.

The frustration, the rage and prideful blood first vanished instantly as she was faced with the utter confusion of what was happening. A twinge of hate flashed through her as the woman on the other side of the radio called her Timber Wolf and insane feline, but decided to let it go.

"I am Aesa Kerensky, the blood of the great Khan, General Kerensky flows in my veins," she flicked her comms back on, "This machine is a Timber Wolf, the pride of Kerensky's own Clan Wolf..."

She wasn't sure about how much more to say. If they were truthful and held true to the principles and ideals of the Star League, what did that mean... they were Freebirths, but were they still long lost cousins... or something else? How would they react to news of the crusade to Terra, to restore the honour and dignity of the league? Surely there could be no place in the crusade for them, but as Garrison troops, left behind to free up other forces, it was possible...

She shook the her head to clear her thoughts, it was not her place to decide such things, that was her Commanders role, she was just a Mechwarrior, her command was of the field of battle, not the strategy of the war.

"Power down your mechs and return my pilots, I will do the same," she offered, "We have no need to waist resources fighting our sisters when the corrupt foe lies deeper in stars..."

Hurriedly she flicked her comms back to a secure line to the dropship, knowing they had already heard everything over the open net, but needing instructions now. She scanned her screens again to see if the other Mechs were shutting down, wondering if maybe she had somehow managed to take a world with words instead of weapons.

Aesa shifted uncomfortably in her seat, trying to work out if there was some angle or strategy she was not seeing in all of this. The invitation to their base could be a trap, to lure her from her mech and garner intelligence... but what would be the point when they essentially had her already?

She chewed her lip as the Dropship had yet to reply her, probably as shocked and scrambling as a plan as she was, but she realized she could not stall forever.

"I am but a Mechwarrior," she flicked her comms open again, "Such talks are above my station. Forward me the coordinates for your headquarters, allow my Mech passage back to the dropship and I will see an appropriate representative is sent to you"

Assuming they aloud it, she would refire her reactor, keeping her weapons power down and maintain a steady pace back to the dropship, avoiding anything to raise alarm or concern. She just hoped the Star Colonel or Galaxy Commander had a plan for this upon her arrival.

There a reply back from the captain. “Ok we send you are coordinates and send you a guide help you navigate thought the forest as we have been dug in here for really long time.”
The mech that were watching you head back to their base as you notice Carbine ConstructionMech come out from the woodwork to take back the down Battlemech as well but either way you are left alone to walk back to the dropship. As hear from the star Colonel. “Mechwarrior report what going down there were the rest of you star?” he seem to be worried.

Aesa kept a weary eye on her sensors as she piloted the Timber Wolf back to the dropship, unable to get the image of a welp running away with it's tail between it's legs.

She couldn't help but think as she reentered the dark woods, of traps and ambushes, she was sure the rusted wrecks they had initially dashed part were now shaped in wicked mockery of them. Aesa let out a little sigh finally as she picked up the friendly signals on her sensors from the drop ship, the armour and other Mech stars deployed in security of the ship.

"Aff, Star Colonel," she replied over her comms. as she maneuvered up the drop ship's loading ramp and backed the Timber Wolf into her birth in the mechbay.

Immediately disconnecting herself from the cooling lines and neuro helmet, she let her body go limp in the command couch for a single moment and pulled her way out the hatch to the gantry. Stripping off the top of her jumpsuit, she tied the sleeves around her waist, fighting the urge to shiver in front of her scrambling Mechtech as the air immediately cooled her sweaty skin that wasn't covered by her croptop sports bra.

"Get the armour replaced immediately," she snapped at him, snatching the bottle of electrolyte water he offered and downed it quickly, "I will be sortieing again after I meet with the colonel."

She barked it more in hope for herself, after that debacle the Star Colonel could well have disbanded the whole star. She shook the thought away, it wasn't over and though it pained her to think like the weasels of the Intelligence and spy caste, it could still be turned to shining victory. She would have preferred to change into a proper uniform to meet the Colonel, but doubted the extra time taken would be appreciated at the moment.

She shrugged back the jumpsuit back over her shoulders just before she reached the bridge, zipping it up part way past her bosom to still get some air.

"Star Colonel, Mechwarrior Aesa Kerensky, Point 5 of 1st Heavy Star, reporting as ordered," She barked, chest out, shoulders back as she came before the Star Colonel. In the rush to just get position in the star she had not had a chance to meet her Star Colonel before and took a moment to size them up.

"Points 1 through 4 have been captured by local forces, Point 1 lead us straight into an ambush." she continued, trying to keep emotion out of it and keep it brief, even refusing to mention Cerber by name "I lead Point 4 in a break out, but he fell, Star Colonel.... the local defenders are..."

She paused to look around the combat bridge to see which of the command staff might be paying too much attention.

"The locals are Star League, Star Colonel," she spurted out, hearing just how crazy her words were, "Stalwarts, holdouts or imitators I know not, they claim to have been disconnected from the Innersphere... they say still follow General Kerensky, and have warred against the corrupt Houses, they say they wish to talk, Star Colonel. They wish to know of what is happening, Star Colonel and will return the pilots my Star. I have the co-ordinates of there base and would be honoured to escort you Star Colonel...

Mechtech nods they as you order them to get on repairs thought note it will take some time to get mech ready again as it did take a engine hit so you’ll need to take out a different mech when you head out

As you enter the room you will see the star Colonel up from his desk looking at what seem to be relic long past. The man stood rather tall broad shoulder thought time has seam age him with gray hair.
Here trun to face her. “Mechwarrior Aesa Kerensky I am glad to see you return safely to us.” He nods as he listen to her report. “Yes does seem rather troubling that Intel may been off though this was Cerber choice use only one star maybe he learn from this.” He look back one old relics of torn star League banner. “So these defender claim to be Star League that they never left their post.” He nods “This rather interesting.” He rubs his chin as he turn face her. “ we will go meet with their leader and see if it possible that we can integrate them in clan war machine or see what role they could fulfill.” He smiles “are ok if use one of the other mech in the drop ship it going take a wail for your timber wolf to repair and be rude for us to keep them waiting?” he pass pad with all four mech she could use. “I be down in the hanger you may want take shower first before you meet me down there.” He leave you alone to give you time to look over mech you’ll want to take.

As you look at roster you will see there a Marauder , Nova Cat, a Cougar and a Kit Fox ready to go thought have some time to think it over.

Aesa suppressed her smile as the Star Colonel agreed with her and didn't cast shame for the capture of Cerber upon her. Grey hair was an anathema to a Warrior like her, old age the most dreaded enemy and she was sure the Star Colonel was secretly delighted the crusade had started just in the nick of time for him. She had been tempted to give her opinion on how these supposed SLDF could be integrated, but knew her place well enough to keep her mouth shut here. They were Freebirths, even if they did join the Clan as Warriors they would be a garrison unit like every other Freebirth outfit.

She swallowed hard with distaste as he told her to pick another Mech for the sortie, the news coming bitter after the elation of still being in the fight. Scanning the list of available replacements she picked the Marauder 3R, refusing to pilot a cat as any proud Wolf should. The old Marauder, though upgraded with Clan tech, would at least be familiar enough to SLDF they were meeting and prevent giving away too much intelligence should they have to engage again.

Aesa balked and quickly sniffed herself as the Colonel mentioned a shower as he left, taken aback and blushing. Clenching her fists, she huffed back to her birth in the dropship, her bag sitting atop her bunk still unpacked. Slipping out of her jumpsuit, she grabbed a change of underwear, her spare cooling vest and a plastic wrapped dress uniform before heading to the showers. A Mechwarrior walking around in their underwear was far from a new sight to behold, but still Aesa chewed her lip as she walked to the ship showers. Aesa had never been one to show off her skin as so many other Warriors did, as so many in her sibko had.

Reaching the showers, she stowed her vest and change of clothes in an alcove in the changing area, the showers beyond obscured by wisps of wafting steam. Slowly she slid off her underwear, her jaw clenched as she remembered back to all the years with her sibko, of never measuring up to the other girls and the jeers about her body, of seeing them freely couple with each other, but not her. Crushing the thought underfoot, she quickly turned on the ball of her foot and tried to stride a purposefully as she could into the showers. She wasn't some whining pup anymore, she was a Wolf and wolves weren't ashamed...
