She sighs as you stroke her, almost seeming to want to lean into it before you question gets her attention once more. "Right. Sorry. Got a simple break action right here." She heads to one of the workers at the station, showing one of the more finished versions of a short rifle. The wood worker is still working, refining the handle and other wooden components slowly and meticulously to perfection, but it actually looks like a proper gun now. Fynn makes a few gestures to the person, who is apparently almost entirely deaf, showing you the gun and how it works. "These are the preliminary units, we'll have twenty of these ready by the end of the week assuming we find no major flaws during testing."
She then goes through a simple demonstration of the simple mechanisms, pressing a thumb switch that lets the gun fold almost in half before dropping a go gauge round in and snapping it shut. You can hear the audible 'snap' of the thing locking in place and it has a good solid feel to it. Many of the guns that come in from other worlds aren't sized properly, as most races are a bit smaller than Amazons, so these are built to order and both large and beefy. More important, there's a very simple system involved. Fynn pulls the trigger, and you can hear the loud 'click' of a hammer inside the gun. Once done, she pops the thumb switch again, pulling the gauge round out. She also shows you that the hammer won't fire unless the gun is closed and locked, which seems like a good idea, as you've heard what happens to fingers when rounds go off unexpectedly. She also does have some bombs for you as well, but doesn't have a firing mechanism for them yet.
