She slowly begins to work around, mentioning that she's got a mild headache from... something, that isn't available? Still, it doesn't take you long before you've got a small box of breakfast foods on your way back, before you spot a few folks starting to build up around the shop, seeming to take a few turns knocking but not wanting to intrude.

I pull up to the small crowd, basket in tow, "Can I help you?"

A woman with a strange peg leg contraption greets you with a slight bow, and you note the belt of knives and chisles across her chest. "Ah, you tha Seeker boy?" She's not being insulting, she's just the traditional gruff amazon woman who's getting older. She doesn't seem disrespectful, just... abrasive.

[Sallin_Kari]

"Yes. Are you the woodworkers we asked for?" I question.

The gruff woman nods down to you, waiting for you to grant permission to enter.

[Sallin_Kari]

I nod, opening the door and singling them in, "Wait here, and I'll get the gunsmith." With that said I find Fynn, offering up the snacks I acquired and explaining who arrived.

Fynn is highly distracted until you mention that her minions helpers have arrived, and then she heads out to greet the small group. She excitedly goes over the various contraptions she's got built, including the various 'sanders' and 'grinders' which are driven off the large belted shaft. With a bit of finagling, Fynn gets them started on such unimportant things like 'ergonomics' and 'basic functionality' for the group. The various rough cut blocks of wood get a few shaken heads before the men and women begin taking their own initiative to improve on Fynn's prototypes.

I continue to follow her, pestering her to at least take the food if she's not going to eat it.

Fynn takes a handful of breakfast taco's, snacking on them as she explains what she wants done to the various guns and shapes. One strange thing she's doing, at least from what you can tell, is she's keeping contact with the gun barrel minimal, but surrounding it anyway. The rigid wooden frames flowing around them protect your hands, but the numerous holes provide ample cooling opportunities. It does make some sense, guns do get hot, although you're unclear on why so many rifles tend to have full body wooden frames if this is better.

I make a note to ask her about the questions if I get the chance to without interrupting.

Fynn spends several more moments giving rough requirements before she returns to you, her mind slowly cooling off after the brief burst of activity.

I decide to ask her why so many gun manufacturers encase the barrel in wood.

"It's a lot easier to do than space everything out, it also acts pretty well to protect the outside of the barrel. I much prefer a minimized contact, it gives the barrel more surface area to cool with and it prevents warping." She tells you, a little offhandedly. Tech worlders, they're weird.

I nod, understanding only parts of it. I ask if she wants me to hang around or should I leave her to her work.

"Hang on, give me Earth again so I can move that." She nods toward the large crystal cluster. "I'll get a few of these guys started on ammunition otherwise." You notice that she did set aside several of the younger and older ones that don't seem as good at wood working as the others.Once she's got it moved, she asks you to remove the earth so she can get to work as she sets up the bullet casting and stuffing jobs. After that, she says that you can do either. You also notice that she apparently put the 'best' wood worker on one of the guns with smaller handles, and if you're not mistaken, it's the one she set aside for you. You could wait around for the gun to finish, getting some practice in with the limited ammunition she's already stockpiled, you could train your melee abilities, you could study more, or you could do something else you think of.

I help Fynn out before deciding what to do. I probably should focus on learning magic at the moment so I probably should swing by Ilixis's place... I did promise to anyways. With my 'work' here done I tell Fynn, "I'll be heading over the Lady Crystalsinger's place to learn magic. I might be gone until the afternoon."

Fynn thanks you, but is very clearly focused on her work, which you can't really fault her for. It is important. Now, do you return to her 'store' or to her 'house'? You like to think you're good enough at sex she wouldn't be able to walk properly for the following day, but you never can tell with elves.

Store would make more sense... if not I suppose I can go shopping before heading to her house.

It doesn't take you long to find your way to the central market place once more, and you've got a bit more time this time since you've effectively completed the mission that was given you. You could do some more surveying of items or similar if you desired, and while you're low on funds, there is someone you know that is quite flush with them depending on your feelings on selling your body for money.
