You slip onto the wall and luckily no one is looking in your direction currently. There are a few option you have. One is to go into the tower. Highly risky but perhaps you could neutralize the guards, giving your companion a clear path up. Otherwise you could drop off the wall into the courtyard and hide behind some boxes. Of course you could just try to go deeper into the facility as well, but that seems suicidally dangerous alone.

I think it would be best to drop into the courtyard and hide for a bit before I begin trying to de-guard the area, perhaps sneaking into the tower.

You land in the courtyard and wait a bit to observe.

You notice that a guard comes out and picks up a small keg from the pile near you and takes in inside. Curious you check the others. It's a juice of some kind. Apparently to keep the guards from abandoning their posts to get a drink, they keep a supply within. If only you had some poison... Though since it seems to be non-alcoholic, replacing it with a liquor might do the job as well.

Can you do something with earth magic to cause this to become poisonous? I know there's metals and ores that are poisonous. I ask Ira. No sense in not giving it a shot. Otherwise, I search for some kind of liquor.

Technically yes, but there are significant difficulties in that. First off, there are only trace elements of such things in the surrounding environment, collecting them in sufficient quantities, assuming you had the power to do so, would create tremors that will be noticed by the guard. Second, such things are slow poisons, causing medical issues over months or years. Third, they have very... specific tastes, and will be detected instantly. Ira explains.

With that option looking to be a futile endeavor, you instead decide to look for storehouses to find something.
Roll 7
Unfortunately for you, leaving your hiding spot and attempting to cross the open courtyard doesn't entirely go unnoticed. After rounding a corner you hear a voice twenty or so meters away go, "Hey. I think I saw something, let's check it out." There are a few boxes in the area, but simply ducking behind them will only work if they don't turn the corner. There are also two doors. One is a grand double door that leads into the main building, and the other is a small door leading to an small extension to it.

Regrets, but something I'll have to live with. I ignore the double doors, that's far too large to try and sneak through for now. Not to mention, it would probably be a hell of a racket if I tried to open them. I moved toward the small door, hoping it leads to a closet of some kind.

As luck would have it, it seems to be a small storehouse. You slip in among the crates and barrels.

Checking some of them reveal it seems to be alchemical supplies. From what you recall many are poisonous though you never were a student of such things.

Oh, that's very good luck. Certainly worth the bit of risk. [Can you... look at these and tell me which ones would be a good set of poisons or something?] I ask Ira before returning my attention to the door and listening carefully, slipping behind it so that I can hide if they open it.

Roll 13 [My memory isn't what it use to be but those crystals, if consumed, serve as a fast acting, though typically non-lethal poison.] Ira explains, signalling to a case of dark bluish crystals that you will clearly have to grind up to work, [It causes muscle spasms followed by temporary paralysis. Higher doses can cause death due to heart attacks, but to have the dosage be dilute enough where it isn't apparent that will not occur.]

Roll 14 As luck would have it the guards, though just outside the door, don't enter. As you listen in you hear, "Come on, your eyes must have been playing tricks on you. We need to get back."
"Shit... Alright. But I know I saw something," Insists another voice. Regardless it looks like they are going back to their patrol route, though one might be on higher alert then normal. Still it seems like the other one is dismissive of the claims so it is unlikely that he'll cause a full scale manhunt for you.

[Alright, we'll find two crystals big enough to work together, and I'll grind them up with the metal hand you gave me. That shouldn't poison me, right?] I tell Ira, not sure exactly how much I'll need. Of course, once we've got enough, there's no reason not to pocket a bit more. Either as useful or as something valuable to sell.

Hm, any chance there's a nearby rat I could maybe use? Nah, if they're already turning around, it's best to leave it as is. I wait a few more moments, but listen carefully before I head out back toward the place with the juice.

[It is absorbed by mucus membranes, so as long as you do not inhale particles or get it in your mouth you should be fine,] Ira explains pointing out a sufficient amount to poison the juice barrels you found outside. Still, you best be hurrying up. If there is one thing you've learned about your companion it's that she is not the patient sort. Without any idea of what you have planned she might act on her own.

You manage to get back to where you were with some difficulty, but at least you weren't spotted this time.

[The... mukumen brains. Okay. Don't inhale, don't eat. Should be fine.] I mention, pocket as much as I think I can get away with before I head back. Being mostly in the clear, I take up a near hiding space near one of the juice barrels, but out of the way before I begin to apply the crystal stuff. Should work out well enough. Once that's completed, I see if I can sneak the choice juice barrel where it will be the most convenient.

[Mucus membranes... Simply put it's the parts of your body that are damp and squishy. The important part of them is that they can absorb soluble minerals, including some poisons,] Ira explains in a neutral tone without missing a beat. Your metal hand simply powderizes the crystals as you try to slip it in the drink, which bubbles and sizzles slightly as the dust pours in. It does stop shortly afterwords, so you figure it'll be fine. Replacing the seal, you move the barrel in place and wait.

As luck would have it, they seem thirsty, already having downed the first barrel, and they grab the spiked replacement. At that rate of drinking it won't be long before they are incapacitated.

Having successfully managed to sneak a bunch of drugs into their liquid supply, I begin to look back for a way to signal to my compatriot that she will be clear and can start trying to come in. Sneaking into the guard house is an option I suppose, but seems like I'd just be baiting destiny at that point.

You manage to get back up the wall and down the handholds with little issue, to your ally waiting at the base of the wall. "Figure something out?" She asks as you approach.

Getting closer to her, I whisper back, "Yes. I put something poisonous in their drinks. Let's head back before anyone notices." After how long it took to sneak back, I figure we should be good to get in.

Nodding in surprised appreciation of your success, she follows you back up the wall. The patrols have stopped... though you doubt you'll be the only one to notice. Best be quick before someone else realizes what has happened.

I hurry as I expect somebody will be along quickly, but try to drop into the same general area I was in before. I had good luck there, and it seemed like a decent place to start. I do land ready to tackle some people though, no telling if somebody got suspicious.

Looks like the courtyard is clear for now. You don't have to worry about traversing it, but you still need to figure out how to move from here. There is always the entrance on the walls, the two you found earlier, or you could try to get up to the air ducts now that you are past the walls.

"Do you think we'll both fit in the air ducts? Or would it be best to force the entrance itself?" I ask her unsure if my instincts are leading to the right passages. I've been lucky so far, but I still don't have much confidence in myself.
