The suit seems to be fine, although you do notice that at some point, Sabhya's little service drones have painted over the Earth logo with hers, which seems rather petty, although it may not be her programing. Still, your suit does seem to be fine, and you can check out hers if you so desire since it's stored in the same area of the... hybrid entertainment locker room thing. The gear and storage lockers line the outer ring of the compartment except for where the stairs through the decks are. There's a few empty bays, which might be worth expanding. Sabhya's is in a creche set aside for it, and various robot arms are busy in the process of checking it out, loading it up and inserting armored plates from a storage area. It's open at the front, and you're reminded of all the pranks that occurred in the military when people left their equipment unattended for 'disciplinary' purposes. She's technically your wife, and such pranks seem like a good way to dampen that relationship, but she did want to learn about Earth culture.

I frown a little at the logo change. While I'm not exactly attached to any specific logo, the fact she changed it without so much as asking is slightly annoying. Even if she didn't consciously do it, I would have at least appreciated a heads up. Noticing her gear being unattended, I check them for logos, intent on getting a little petty revenge by doodling over her logos.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

As a reminder, the ship/AI did it. Also, did you want a ship girl? We could do that if you wanted.

You do find several of the logos, one slightly above a belt buckle location and then others on the shoulder. They're more subdued than normal, favoring flatter colors to aid in basic camouflage. It does take you a little bit to find a marker, and now you just need to think of something appropriate. 'Terran baby factory' over the stomach seems a little too mean, but little happy faces and such are rather juvenile.

Yeah, but he did say that she should have at least given him a heads up that would happen. Still this is petty and he knows he's being petty.

That might be an idea. Though I'm supposing that there isn't a shipgirl just wandering around this whole time hiding, so perhaps as an addition from a techy sort of waifu? Or what were your plans there?

Taking out one of the many sharpies I typically end up hording, just in case, I pause for a moment considering what to write. While my first instincts are to write degrading words, since this very well might be seen by others, I temper myself. I end up doodling 'baby on board' over one of the logos, and 'I (Heart) Daddy' or similar on the some of the others.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Depends. It could be a simple accessory that she buys, or we could do some kind of stolen technology thing. In fact, considering the two waifu's you're currently pursuing, they could have a project that needs securing, and they pay him with their bodies.

She's probably not pregnant, but nobody else needs to know that right now. The ink sticks in place, and the suit system doesn't seem to notice. Or possibly care. When Sabhya comes out, (luck:2) she seems to catch on fairly quickly that you've doodled on her suit. She looks at you curiously, and you feel a little bit of shame at the petty reaction. You could explain yourself, or you could just stick it out in stubbornness.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

That could be... If that is the case wouldn't it be a catgirl shipgirl due to them being a race of catfolk? *Mind goes to Azur Lane's Sakura Empire*

Turning to see Sabhya, I cap the pen with a shrug, "Your ship marked over my logos, so I went and marked over yours." I'm not ashamed of my pettiness. I guess it's part of the environment I was in. The amount of petty shit my fellow soldiers did, and just how far they went sometimes sort of trains you to be petty and stick to your guns no matter what. Probably because they know they're not going to get in any major trouble for petty shit, and it's their only way to get back at people who annoy them, especially superiors.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

If that's how you want it. Also, I did just run across this gallery of robot girls. Does contain some loli, trap and futa as a warning. https://exhentai.org/g/1647627/dda40dec7d/

"So, this is a human thing." she mutters before moving over to study the logos changes you've made before snatching the marker and moving to your own suit, marking over the crotch. "Shevan Breeding Stud" she writes pointing down to the groin. She may not quite get the point. And since you're going to be meeting someone for a job, you might want to wear the cloak or something, which she does pull off a hamper.

Well the gallery doesn't work for me. Anyways, I figure the cat robot/ship girl would make sense if you want the source to be the upcoming waifus.

I watch her in silence as she just one ups my pettiness. It's not something that annoys me or anything but... It is unexpected. Still the cloak is probably a good idea anyways. Best not let even the client know too much about you. That way they can't throw you under the bus if something goes wrong.

The two of you quickly gain a set of cloaks that cover all the hard work you did to deface her logos, as well as the label declaring your nuts her property. Even so, you find that just the sight of the two of you in cloaks, wearing armor is enough to form a little through put before she leads you to a lawyers office of some kind. Across all this space, fucking lawyers are still the same.

Of course... We're involved in some shady, almost certainly illegal stuff, and there are lawyers seeing over it... Same in every god damn race apparently.

After knocking and gaining entry, Sabhya gives them a verbal code of some kind before they're lead into the back. A nervous, obese lawyer wipes his... probably his equivalent of sweat before approaching and shaking Sabhya's hands. "Oh good. The customer was unsure if anyone would take the contract. Do you need anything before we start?" He asks the two of you.

I look at Sabhya to see if she needs anything, "Information is my primary concern. What are we doing, where, what are the acceptable parameters? Do you have blueprints of the area we'll be hitting? That kind of thing."

"Ah, that. You are to, how do I put it, hm, secure a pair of witnesses for my client. They are vital to a case, and they have been targeted by someone they trust. We will give you a location to meet us at to transfer them at a later date. The ship they've been captured on is something you can salvage or strip as you need to, once the, ah, perpetrator has been taken care of." It's hard to tell, but that sounds suspiciously like a cover story to kidnap somebody and hand them over. With you and Sabhya as the patsy. This probably isn't going to go very well, but money is money. "These are the two witnesses."

My alerts are going off like crazy... Still, if they think they can pull the wool over my eyes... Well, let's just say I'm far more then they bargained for. If they do try something, I get to unwind a bit with some completely justified self-defense. I even get to kill this scummy lawyer. Turning away from that for the moment, I examine the picture of the 'witnesses.' They look young... I wonder what they did to attract such attention? Who ever is behind this has at least some money, which means power. I turn to Sabhya, as this is ultimately her call, so if she decides to pull out because how shifty this looks I'll follow her lead.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Speaking of killing lawyers, have you ever read Schlock Mercenary? An early arc involved a lawfirm being sued, refusing to pay up, so the lawyer appointed the mercenary team as agents of the court, and they get a bounty every time they kill one of the lawyers, and it's a running gag throughout the entire thing. Warning: 20 fucking years of updates, 365 days a year.

Sabhya looks over the details and nods, seeming to have everything to her liking. "Alright. Give me the information." She tells them, and they hand over a data chit. "This contains everything we could find on the ship that they're being held in and the route we're expecting them to take." He tells her, leading the two of you out the door again.

Once outside, Sabhya taps something on her helmet, something moving down to cover her mouth. You hear her in your own. "So, that was a setup I'm assuming. Considering these two heiresses are worth a couple of trillion credits, I'm assuming this is some kind of takeover bid and they expect us to either screw up and kill them, or to buy them from us and kill them. They've paid half in advance though, so we should at least look into doing the job. Any interest in actually following through with it?" She mentions to you.

No, and that seems like it'd be way too long to get into this late in the game.

"You know them then?" I comment as she seems to know the two... They're loaded then... That makes sense. Money always attracts vultures. "Well, let's go through the motions at least. I do kind of want to kill them for setting us up, but this seems like the situation to play it by ear. At the very least, let's see if we can get a better offer out of the heiresses for their safety. If they refuse, we just nab them, take them to the exchange point, get the rest of the money, and then kill the pricks who thought they'd set us up, and disappear before anyone can follow us.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

The series is winding down and I believe is planned to be finished this year. They're also only the equivalent of newspaper comics for the most part.

"I know of them. Local nanobot factory specialist company. Make high grade fabbers that do all the good stuff. Looks like somebody is making a power play." She mentions. Heading back to the ship, Sabhya drops the data chit on an interface plate of some kind, the ship picking up the information and displaying some tactical telemetry. "Looks like they're going to be heading from a remote station in the system inbound to begin a jump. Ship looks like a pretty standard luxury corvette, about the size of this one, just with out all of the weapons beyond some PD guns. Got their flight path too." She points to a squirming line leading in from the edge of the system toward the stars gravity well to allow for a jump. It sling shots around several moons and planets, likely something to speed up without spending fuel. There are several instances where it's going into a 'blind' spot that would make a tactical insertion useful.

Sabhya stares at the information for a little bit. "Any thoughts husband?"

Yeah, but that is still a huge investment in time.

"If there is nothing special, then there is no reason to get fancy. Let's do a standard insertion while they are in a blind spot," I comment, "Not sure how you like to do this, but my armor is designed to absorb fire from point defense if you want me to insert first, and knock out a few of the guns to make your approach smoother."

"Well, I was thinking of a either a rail cannon strike or stealth missile to their engines first, but if you want to try and go in while they're live, we can do that." She seems a bit doubtful of the viability of that approach, seeming to favor a more conservative approach.

"Remember they might be our meal ticket. Let's not offend them too bad," I point out the very distinct possibility that we're going to switch sides, "First impressions are important. Ideal I would like to land before they can even react, but I don't know what kind of sensors they have. I know a Shiva warships would pick up my approach in a suit well before I touch down, hence why in needs to be resistant to PD fire, but I can't be sure about a civilian ship of a race I never really interacted with before."
