"Dammit, I'm low for now. I'll have to look into something else for now unless you offer credit." There's not really a lot I can do from there. The debt I have is also one I cannot allow to sit and fester for too long. I shall have to head out there, keeping an eye open for any additional creatures or items of value and check to see if... if the use of my womb would be enough to settle that debt. There's also the issue of food supply. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask if the Beholder would be partial to mirrors.

"We don't offer credit, but with the ongoing apocalypse we do accept bartering. If you have a service you can provide or something valuable then we might be able to make a deal," She explains very briefly, with a sigh, clearly not expecting much from you.

"I can get a hold of a large amount of raw ore, and I can do some basic magic and smithing as well if necessary. And I have some preserved food." I mention. I don't have it 'on' me, but I can get ahold of it fairly quickly.

"Ore doesn't do much for me. I don't really need a mage, and... quite frankly I think I'll trust the smith we've been using," she retorts, before sighing, "And I'm tired of preserved food... But... if you can source some fresh food then maybe we can work out something. Fruits are the most valuable, but if you get your hands on fresh vegetables or meat I'm willing to trade for that as well."

"I will see what I can find." I tell her, wrapping up what little shopping I could have done. I'll need to keep an eye out for any fruit trees that I can find. [Astaroth, can you do the... bountiful land thing I've seen other deities do? I know we can do the rocks, but I wanted to ask before I did anything else.] I don't know much about farming, but I do know they don't uproot the trees after a harvest, so I would hopefully be able to use the magic once but still draw value from it.

[Not currently. Essentially that little trick is to insert a piece of their domain into the real world long enough to shape it. With the eroding of my powers over the centuries, so has my domain became... less impressive.]

[So, that's a no then.] Alright, so no sudden magically active harvests. Still, that means I need to keep my eyes open for anything useful. Wait. [Can you enhance my senses, like my sense of smell? If we move far enough outside of the town, I might be able to find some fruit plants or trees. Or whatever they grow from. Even better, if you could monitor it and simply tell me so I don't have to deal with processing the smells myself, that'd be for the best.]

Don't know if you have anything in particular planned, but I used Alraunes and Nymphs for farming purposes myself if you wanted to add anyone. Not a request, just mentioning it as an option.

I mean Alraunes make sense... but Nymphs? Did you mean Dryads? Nymphs are usually depicted as living in ponds and being water based, not plant. Anyways, I don't mind that, but I will leave it up to the dice to decide. We can have that be a special roll.

It will do no good to convert the town and then have them all starve to death over the winter or murdered by hordes of monsters because I'm the only one not laid up from orgasm dehydration or whatever. Keeping them safe is necessary. Happy necessities gives them all the time to focus on lust and orgies.] I feel a little dirty trying to use sexual depravity as a bargaining chip, but... it's the only thing she really cares about.

Sorry, most recent story involving them used 'wood nymphs' so that's what came to mind. But yes, I would suggest that as a possible luck based solution. That said, if Astaroth or monster research girl suggest it, Scarlett would probably feel compelled to go find one and bring it back, or get knocked up by one and give birth locally.

I run over my anything I might still need to do before I conclude that I've done about as much as I can. I do have the presence of mind to bring a cart with me this time as well, even if I'm taking it out empty. Worst case, I bring back an empty cart, but hopefully, I'll be able to fill it with berries or something.

With the possible exception of still dropping by the Beholder, even though your plan to gift him mirrors is delayed, there is little immediately pressing. Perhaps you want to talk with your daughter and enlist her in the search for fruits?

You approach the entrance only to realize that you have no idea where she is and searching the hundreds of acres would put you way behind on the time schedule. Astaroth comes to the rescue though, in her disappointed in you kind of way, [You do know you can talk with her just like you can talk with me. Right?
