"Ah, a non magical world. I've heard of a few of those. I have also heard of some of the heroes summoned from them who brought.. tech-no-lo-gee, but it apparently only lasts so long before it gives out. Something about needing to repair it with things far more complex than a hammer and anvil." Something about the difference between the careful pronunciation and the normal flow of his lips makes Gwen think that he's got some kind of bad lip synching going on. The captain makes it more clear that he doesn't expect anything fantastical from Gwen as a result of her lack of magic. "Still, I can see that you do have a well crafted bow, which is much less likely to fail on you anyway."

Wringing out the clothing, certain parts of it dry easily, but certain parts don't. Wearing the pants would like result in major chaffing if Gwen has to walk anywhere anytime soon. The captain responds, "We do have some hearth mages back at the camp, but at that point you'll be transferring to a cart I'd expect until you can properly train on a horse or other riding beast. Most can learn basic hearth magic, and we have some alchemists that create healing candies. Most of the battle mages have much more mana than you do, so you might be able to cast a few spells, but likely not enough to use in battle. We can have a mage scout take a look at you however."

Finishing, he begins to wrap up the blanket, but makes sure to put it on top of the saddle, creating a bit more padding. "As you're wearing a skirt, and in-experienced, I'll have you ride side saddle." He tells Gwen, moving so that he's got his butt against the horse before making a sitting motion. Gwen could be stubborn and insist to learn the 'proper' way, although she'd like wind up giving that show she just avoided.
