The goop doesn't respond this time, and you quickly bottle some of it up in a canteen. It should be worth something at least. Neither the first tank nor any of the others do anything besides sort of pulse and puddle around in their tanks. Having finished up, you quickly close the lids, maybe you can come back for more loot!

With that done, and an inspection showing that you've not got anything useful or interesting in the room, you can try to scramble back up into the air way and get back out, you could try to clear the debris in front of you, or you could explore the other rooms. Or if she thought for a bit, she could probably think of something else.

"Alriiiight... Gonna have to get someone to figure out what this shit is, but there's no way it won't sell to somebody..."
She grins to herself. If it DOES sell, she's the only one who knows about this little area in particular right now. She could probably capitalize before these ruins got explored by others... but she's realising she might have to make it easier on the hypothetical 'others' if she wants to find a way out that isn't potentially through those zombies. No use in finding something that could be big only to get pulled out of a hole and chewed on.
Might as well be thorough, though. She's gonna do a systematic check of the other rooms that are available to her, if it's not too much effort to get through the doors. She's gotta save some energy for the rubble.

One of the rooms is (INT: 17-4) what remains of a server room. You don't know a lot about computers or other technology, but you do recall that the basic components are worth a decent amount of cash. Quickly pocketing a bit of it, just as a sample, you return to search the other rooms. One is the remains of a storage room, although it seems that some kind of creature(s) got into it, and it's thrown about the room, and any food is long gone. The other contains rank chemicals, cleaning supplies maybe? So far, it looks like the remains of a laboratory of some kind.

Now, all that's left is the rubble or climbing back up. Either or.

"Alriiiight... long as I play it right, I oughta have a good payoff by the end of the week... Heh heh!" Morale's pretty high right now, and Hunter's feeling pretty good about the rest of the day. If she makes it back to town, she's probably gonna be eating something tasty tonight. Time to work on that rubble that's in her way. She's not worried about getting it ALL out of the way, as long as she can make herself a hole she can worm her way through. The idea of some creature raiding the storeroom felt like it was long enough ago that she wouldn't need to worry about it still lurking around in here, so even if she got stuck she probably won't need to panic. She's just gotta keep confident, that's all.

As you try to dig the rubble out of the way, you manage to squirm around and clear a small, narrow opening at the top. Finally finished, you wipe the sweat off your head... but notice a strange mark on your wrist. Smearing the dirt and grime off, you find words written on your arm. "Allow advanced interface: Y[] N[]" The hell, you don't remember getting a tattoo.

"Whew, alllllright. That oughta be niiice and sneaky to... what the hell?" As she's getting the mess off of her hands using her backpack as an impromptu rag, she notices that weird text on her wrist... "Advanced interfa-... The hell?" Confusion means slight annoyance, for Hunter. "Yeah, sure, I'd like to advance my interface with these ruins! The hell is this?" She taps the 'yes' box with her thumb a few times as if writing on her wrist is actually listening to her sass.

A set of what looks like book pages appears over your eyes. Moving your hands back and forth, your hand is between you and the book, but the book isn't there. You're barely aware of the anything besides the book for a few moments, and finally focusing on it, it shows your body, listing your height and weight and such. There's also a few other toolbars along the side, that show different features that you're not sure of. It estimates your overall strength and physical condition. Strange.

Looking around the book, you find a few little options that are locked right now. They seem to be under the 'improvements' tab. One of them already is selected, 'healing ability'.

Hunter's a liiittle freaked out now, but not enough to totally quell her curiosity. The fact that whatever she's got... in her eyes? In front of her eyes? Knows her exact height and weight is weird and awesome at the same time, it's info Hunter's actually finding potentially useful. She really can't figure out what this other stuff means, aside maybe some opinions about her current... potential? She does look around a bit, especially at the improvements tab.
"Heeealing ability... Is this what I'm improved with...?"
She's quick to figure out what that could mean in terms of getting in to trouble.
"Hohoho... niiice. Alright, I liiike this. Now get outta my eyes, I'm tryna focus..."
She waves her hands around to try and dispel it like it was dust, then realises she should find a way within the book itself to close it instead.

At your words, the image disappears, and you realize that the short wait while you dealt with that was enough for your body to almost fully rejuvenate from your hard work. This could be very pleasant. You've got a small gap at the top of debris pile, and you should be able to scramble out if you want.

Hunter takes a looong deep breath just to make sure she's not imagining how good she feels right now, and she's getting one hell of a morale boost now. The weird wrist stuff can stay for now.
Since there's basically no chance of her getting too tired to go all the way through her hole, she gets her stuff and climbs right up for it. She's got work to do!

You shimmy through the hole, picking up a few scrapes and cuts, which barely leak before closing up, a bit of silvery black goop spreading over the wound before a scab and fresh pink skin form over it. (Int:12-4 failure) You don't know enough about biology to guess if that's going to have any long term effects, although you're starting to get hungry. Looking around, you see a much more picked over ruin. Your own little pocket is off the beaten path, and part of the hallway seems to have collapsed downward, creating further obstacles to getting to the loot you found as opposed to finishing off the main ruins. The amount of scavenging that has taken place is night and day, as numerous wall panels have been torn down and electrical equipment torn out. Lighting structures are torn loose, and it almost looks like somebody tried to rip the rebar out of the ground.

Getting through her crawlspace with only a bit of superficial damage would've been fine in her book, but to her suprise, even small wounds like that were getting covered by her new 'healing ability'. That was proof it worked, at least!
Hunter looks over the ruins she's climbed in to, and ends up pretty glad she's stumbled in to a place only she knows about. This whole place looks like there's no point in looking for any actual loot anymore if even the walls and floor are getting torn up for whatever profit's left. At least it isn't totally bad news, since that means scavengers might consider this place 'tapped'.
Time to make her way out though, making sure to look for any scav signs that might be pointing at an exit. She still doesn't trust her original entry point will be safe, yet.

(Luck: 9)

You head out, sneaking about and keeping an eye open for anything. This time, you manage to spot one of the shambling zombies. It's gotten dark, and the zombie has started to move around, like it's looking for more prey as opposed to staring at the sun. Still, it hasn't seen you, but you certainly recall what happened last time you spotted 'just one' zombie.

Hunter probably would have thought about her chances with one-and-probably-more zombies more if she wasn't feeling great from her find. Since she only sees the one, and this isn't another tall-grass situation, hopefully she'll have enough time for a hit and run before the hypothetical 'rest of the pack' can bear down on her.
So, in the intrest of working out her energy and hopefully getting a little bit of extra pay from some exterminating while she's at it, she dashes at the zombie. And... she attempts to drop kick it with as much speed behind it as she can build!

Moving closer very stealthily, you manage to get a full drop kick in, slamming the creature forward. A loud crash echos, but you find no other sounds besides the one zombie. Darting in, you straddle the thing on its back, holding it down. It's struggling to get up, but its weakened state seems to be fairly easy. Looking at it, a pop up in your eyes shows a small screen over the small crystal node sticking out of the back of its head. [Energy node] well, gee that's helpful. The zombie is struggling, and you should probably figure out how you want to kill it soon.

The little pop-up gets an annoyed eyebrow twitch out of her, but she doesn't focus on it. She knows just how she'll dispatch this zombie. She hops to her feet on its back, then delivers a swift soccer kick to its head. She didn't wanna stomp it, since she doesn't know just how fragile these nodes are yet, but kicking the head like this SHOULD take care of it well.

The head takes the blow badly, and you feel a distinct 'crack' as the neck bones separate, the zombie collapsing like a lump except for its snapping jaws. Flipping it over, you've got time to look over the crystal node sticking out of the back of its head. The pop up, now that you've got time to read it says that it's accumulated '1 charge' which the system can consume. (INT:16-4 success) Thinking back, the various bounties that were available mentioned 'energy nodes' and this must be one. The price listed seemed pretty good, although you'll likely need two or three more to have enough liquid currency for the night.

The ability to consume the energy also garners some interest, but can likely wait until you've got a room to stay in if you're uncomfortable.

"...Alriiight, nice and easy! These zombies ain't so bad..." Hunter yanks the energy node from the zombie's cranium, just putting it in her bag for safekeeping for now. She'll need to drop a few more zombies if she wants to get some decent income off these nodes, but as long as she doesn't run in to that herd from earlier, she thinks her chances of getting a few are pretty good. If she gets a surplus she can think about 'consuming' one, whatever that means, but she'll focus on amassing a few for now. She starts heading back toward town slowly, keeping her eyes peeled for zombies along the way.

It's getting darker, and the zombies are starting to move around, likely hunting for prey. The added movements are enough for you to detect a few more of them and bag them, their crystals filling up your bag. You should have plenty of cash after this to at least stay the night and get some food.

Hunter's very satisfied with her work tonight. She doesn't know what that goop she collected is worth yet so that's not something she's considering "part of her wealth", but these energy nodes at the very least will see her comfy tonight. For the better too, because she could do with a good meal after all the physical work she's done today. She heads back to town to turn in those energy nodes, though she'll try to keep one to 'test' if she can. She's gonna keep wary of pickpockets or burglars too.
