The sunrise signaled another busy day in Haven as the residents roused from their slumber once more and went about their daily business. After that day all those years ago, you had fled your home and moved inland away from the coast, the crowded cities were only places for the dead to gather and feed now. Surviving on your own had proven difficult but some kind strangers had taken you into their care until you had all found Haven together. It wasn't easy to find, Haven was built deep in the forest to keep hidden from zombies and humans with ill intentions alike, and building a colony so far away from cities to salvage from wasn't easy but the founders of Haven were committed to making a home where people could be safe. Growing up here instilled that same sense of duty to contribute to the good of the colony in you, as well as had you grow accustomed to some of their stranger ways of doing things.
After preparing for the day ahead you made your way out into the center of the colony as you did most every day, greeting the familiar faces until you came to stand in front of the job board where needed tasks were listed. Today there were a few that caught your eye.
Forage for supplies: There was a town not more than about half a day away from the forest Haven resided in. It had been pretty picked over throughout the years, but there was still supplies to be had at the risk of encountering zombies, as well as traps set by the colonies hunters that needed checking.
Scout Purgatory: Purgatory was another nearby colony that was pretty firmly opposed to your own. Men were firmly in control there and women were kept as slaves. They often attempted to raid Haven in order to steal supplies and capture women from your colony. Scouting them out was dangerous, but important as keeping a close watch on their movements was imperative to your survival.
More public use toilets wanted: This one was here pretty much every day. The women of Haven took turns but some were less fond of it than others and would always appreciate a break. Good public use toilets were great for colony morale as well.
Nothing else really jumps out at you, but the leader of Haven was aware of you and your skills and might also have some work for you.
