Alex nodded and spoke. "Yes they would have been, but I think we can manage. Micil, time for your first job. Safely guide me through the underground city. Are you up for it?"

she nods and gets the pad out to write again " okay, but I won't be able to talk to you down there, so you'll have to pay close attention to me. Also it will be hard for me to navigate to some where that I don't know where it is." she tells you

Alex nodded and spoke. "We should probably find a tavern with a lot of dark elf patrons. If the queen is a dark elf then they might have a hint of who she is."

Micil shrugged and nodded, gesturing for you to follow

Alex looked at Andros and spoke. "I'll let you follow your gut on when to send in the army. It might take me a while, and it'll be hard if everyone is panicking about the attacking army."
He turned to Micil and followed. "Lead the way pretty lady."

Andros nods " first step is restoring order, gods know it's been long enough since this city had it" she tells you
Micil leads the way, not responding to you, as she leads you towards the lower city

Alex moved up beside Micil and began looking himself over. "Will I stand out if I'm armed?"

she shrugs, " probably not," she writes out for you,

Alex smiled at her and spoke. "You know I almost feel like he was trying to turn me against you. Will you be mad at me if it turns out to be a dark elf and I have to kill her?"

she stops for a moment and writes out " probably not, but will killing her really be necessary?"

Alex frowned and spoke. "I really hope not, I've thought out a lot of possibilities. One is that she just happily surrenders, but another is her showing absolute defiance. If that happens then I have to shackle her somehow. She's probably a master thief or of similar talent so a regular jail won't hold her. What do you think I should do? I would need a prison with no physical locks."

" I am an Assassin not a thief, so I cannot be of too much help in that, but given the complexity of those knights a prison beyond a master thief, should not be too hard for your people to construct" she suggests

Alex nodded and spoke. "Not a bad idea."
He broke into laughter as a thought popped in his head. "I could always just force her to be my wife. That's got metaphorical shackles involved right?"

" but that wouldn't stop her getting away would it?" she writes out

Alex laughed and spoke. "What woman would run from a marriage with me? I'm a future king."
His expression softened and spoke. "It's a nice thought in my opinion. End this battle with a happy marriage. Well anyway let's hope for the best."

she nods " I won't be able to talk easily once we're underground, so anything else you want to ask, do it now," She writes out carefully

Alex paused before smirking and speaking. "Would you mind keeping my bed warm tonight? No well darn."
Alex laughed before speaking. "No I'm good, let's go play with some bad people."

she rolls her eyes, and stows her tablet, leading you down a flight of stairs to a metal gate, with a passage that slowly dissolved into darkness behind it

Alex followed her and whispered. "Just treat me like I'm a hired muscle. Makes it easier for me to be quiet and not duck all this up."
