Might use some of that. Bag of holding but for weapons magazines. Otherwise, one of their advantages over modern tech was going to be the shear amount of solid state equipment they have, which hopefully makes up for not figuring out motors or geometry generated lift. All of their large scale motion is generated by hydraulic 'pump' crystals that just shove liquid from one side to the other without any moving parts or with buoyancy lift.

The blasts scatter the cloud shortly, and you see that it had tried to put up a wall around itself, one which your first few shots impact. Not that it does it much good, as the wall of stone isn't thick enough to stop the dragon bolts, which shatter the inside of it in a massive swarm of spalling as it starts trying to pick the finger long chunks of rock out of its stomach area. It lets out that guttural growling roar again, and seems to be trying the same trick with the rock. It really doesn't have much in the way of ranged attacks.

See, we are talking about magic so there really is no limit to how they do things.

This is working pretty well. If I am patient about this I could probably kill him this way at my leisure, but... where is the fun in that. I know it works now so it's time to move onto the next step. "Alright, your axe is ready, yeah? I'm going to dive on him after this and try to expose his neck." With that said I fire a bolt at the rock, and then as I dive down, another one at his feet.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Yeah, but I like to keep it fairly consistent if I can. This also creates delightful anachronisms like having helicopter gun ship analogs, but common infantry still using massed fire and field guns.

There's no fun, and likely you'll reduce all of your earnings to dragon burnt scrap. "Ready!" She tells you, and you catch her a good distance across the field, but squatted and ready to launch herself. Her axe hums with power you can see from here. It's still too distracted trying to get a shot at you with its fistfulls of rock to notice her, and you dodge the cluster of highspeed rocks that come your way before you strike. Your blow knocks it off balance and its stumbling backwards, wounded but fine when you slam your body into it. If it feels your impact, it barely notices, but it feels like you just slammed yourself into a mineral outcrop of raw iron. The impact is jarring, but you grab a head spike and begin to pry it up, planting both feet on its shoulders and digging in your talons.

You almost feel like you could pull its head off before you feel a sluggish hand wrap around one leg as Mary comes in close. At some point the hand is replaced by a collapsing mountain and your leg is nearly crushed before a darkskinned blur plants an axe in the things throat. Up close, you see the way it works a bit better, the axe creating two opposite forces, shearing the flesh apart before shoving itself backwards out of the wound, ideal for a hit and run strike. The monster hacks a wad of blood all over your chest, the first bit of real fear beginning to radiate out of it rather than the rage and pain as its other hand moves away from your other leg and clutches at its neck wound. Mary has long since escaped, but with the distraction, you feel the crushing grip on your leg let up enough to escape. Or you could stay put like the badass you know you are and tear the thing apart in melee combat. As long as you don't actually start trading blows anyway.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

It certainly works.

Also, he'd purposefully place himself behind the shoulder blades, and use his legs as the force to pull his throat up, specifically so that the creature who have significant issues even reach him, much more actually use his strength. That's why I was pointing out him using the spines on his back as footholds earlier. Still this does give us an opportunity to show actually angry Talren.

I let out a hiss as it begins crushing my leg, reinforcing it as soon as he touches it, taunting, "You think that hurts bitch? my sister can did more with her little finger." As soon as he looses I move forward, forcing his hand away from his neck wound before firing a point-blank dragon bolt into the open wound. Catching the shockwave with my wings, I lift off the creature before flipping in front of it, giving it a rude gesture and beckoning it to come get some. My blood is boiling at this point, and unlike in my sparing matches I'm not trying to conserve magic, focusing on speed. If it steps forward, I dodge, slip around its injured leg, as I tear it open with my claws.

Even with the reinforcement, it feels like your natural disruption of magic is doing as much good to weaken it and protect yourself. It doesn't growl this time, focusing on healing its neck wound and you forcing its hand away seems to draw a bit more primal fear out of it before the dragon bolt bursts across its throat. As you clear, you see it roll over itself, before it hunches over, bringing a forearm up to guard, wide panicky glances as it tries to get some distance. It doesn't seem to understand your gesture or taunts, and looks to be trying to escape at this point. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing such a behemoth try to run away.

Maintaining your distance, it seems to realize you're not going to let it get away, and with a still damaged leg and savaged throat, it's not going to outpace your wings. It begins to flail at you as you duck under its limb, raking your claws across its leg, searching for a weakpoint. There's a bit of meat in the back, and your claws sink deep until it starts to collapse on the knee, and suddenly the entire things weight is sitting on one claw, nearly ripping it out. It's leg is useless now, all of the rear muscles and tendons torn to shreds, but you're in too close and a sudden movement distracts you from your claw.

When your eyes start working again, and instinct kicks in, you flip over, digging a trough through the ground with your feet. Your ears are ringing, worse than when Judith popped you against a stone wall, but you're still ready to go. You're probably going to have a shiner from the backhand as well, but its having trouble keeping its lower leg lined up, and its leaning on one arm gasping as it tries to get itself in good enough shape to escape. The fight is all but over at this point, just the bleeding and screaming left. Of course, you did bring Mary out here, and you could always further cripple it to let her get the finishing blow.

Shaking myself off after getting slapped I growl, "I'll take your arm for that!" Approaching quickly, ready to dodge in case he gets the same idea before ducking in and tearing at the tendons by the joints of his arms to disable them, and ready for them to rip it off.

The damned thing continues to flail at you, but its eyes are starting to glaze over. It's got its throat mostly patched up, but the crippled leg is still hobbling it. Getting a grip on its arm, you find that much like the leg and torso, there's very little that's not actively protected beyond the inside of the elbow and armpit. Still, its magic is weakening, and your own disruption of it weakens it further. It's still very big and muscular, but its not much better than a massive beast with armored plating at this point. It has to watch almost helplessly as you twist and pry and its arm before it howls in agony as it comes loose.

It begins to try and gather something in its mouth, likely planning to spit stone at you when a brown blur lands on the side of its face, not that it can feel much. The axe comes around, and slashes into the things eye, managing to thread the needle of head spikes and rip part of its face open. Without the arm in the way, you find a prime location to go digging in its chest cavity, and fishing around reveals a pair of hearts frantically trying to keep blood flowing. Regardless of whether you take the kill for yourself or let Mary get her vengeance, the beast shudders its last, before it seems to sag and begin to fall, like a massive oak that finally split.

I let out a triumphant roar as its arm comes loose, though as it begins to gather something in its mouth my tail coils up to slap its jaw, but Mary moves first. Instead I punch through to his chest, feeling around until I feel the beating. With a grin I grip one or both of the hearts if they are small enough in my hand, waiting until they finally stop beating before carefully removing them as I ask Mary, "Feeling better now you got your revenge?" Hungrily I look over the hearts, "Are these worth anything?" The hearts are usually the best on magical beasts, so much muscle and magic all focused in one place.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I can see why the locals shit themselves over it. It was a good actual challenge for Talren too.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Good, one of the next major encounters I've got planned is with one of the weaker Void Weavers. My plan is that it's actually going to be more powerful than Talren, but they've got explicit weaknesses to both fire and magic disruption, so I figure that should basically balance out.

Also also, when did you want to do the sex scene? I'm pretty sure most girls would not be interested in sex on top of the desecrated corpse of their foe unless they've got some blue hair.

Mary is panting as you feel the life of the monster drain from its eyes. Eye. Whatever. The adrenaline rush from this beast was incredible. Mary manages to gasp out after a few seconds, "No. There's lots of power in them, but no way to actually gather it out here. We could harness it in a magic forge, but they'll never last. Still, I'm surprised you don't know this, how did you get to be this good of a hunter if you didn't?" Score, you've got yourself a rather nice meal then. Probably best to let Mary due the gutting then. With how sensitive some of the local creatures are, your claws would probably scramble any residual magic.

The idea that these things are more powerful then a half-dragon is... kind of scary in a 'how the fucking hell?' sort of way. Like how so? They have doom lasers that just level buildings or what?

He's planning on hanging out with her and get her talking on the past and about herself before making his move.

Considering how to answer her question I figure it would be best to just show her. I gobble down one of the heart before looking at her, "That's how. They're my prey animals. Was living in a cave, never having been around more then five people at a time before I was brought here, so don't know that much about societies and what people find valuable... Which reminds me, best you gut it less I ruin its most valuable cuts."

I let her begin her work as I take my time with the other heart, before finally asking, "So how does it feel to not only get your revenge but field strip the object of your vengence?"

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Objection to Theresa showing up now and being all put out that she got her full battle gear on and you ruined it for her? Would at least provide a credible way to get the corpse back home.

The void parasite stage is the next one up above Void Whisperer, and they'll be Elite Mooks. They reside in the spine and brain of the their host, and are powerful spell casters in their own right, and they're physically indestructible beyond fire or magical disruption. Each one is capable of numerous types of spell craft by 'weaving' mana to create spells or highjack enemy spells (crystal magic is more resistant to this type of highjacking, hence its prevalence, not that anyone but the Oracle planned for that) as well as the ability to suppress pain in their host, and push it far beyond its limit. If their host is killed, they can use necromantic and healing magic to keep their corpse running until they can bring it back to life. Their biggest individual weakness is their fairly low mana pool and needing to be 'invited' in to actually begin leaching off their host. Once they've had a few centuries to accumulate mana they metamorph into Void Weavers, which are considerably less reliant on 'permission' to enter, and they've gathered enough mana to be fairly powerful in their own right as well as their larger stature allowing them to physically attack and such.

My goal in creating them was something way outside of Talren's league... if they didn't have a double weakness to Talren's elemental magic.

She nods at your explanation numbly, eventually pulling out a field knife, thankfully one not oozing death magic everywhere and begins cutting into it. She actually has trouble with it for a while, and simply has you rip the limbs off and tear its chest plating open so she can access it. At your question, she stares down at it. "I'm... numb. I honestly didn't think I'd live through this. That's why I brought the dagger, I was told its range and charge was too much to safely deploy near, but at that point..." You can see the stress in her neck slowly un-knot as it starts to sink in. She's actually crying as she cleans the kill, although her faint smile makes you think they're more relief than anything else.

The dismembered corpse doesn't last long, and Mary has pulled the 'subbrain' out, a knot of tightly packed crystal weave within a hardened 'skull' behind the huge mass of spikes on its back. You can feel the weight, hardening and strength magic oozing off of it. In fact, it reminds you of the shiv of doom that Mary has on her back, is that what the higher level monsters produce if you can take their 'subbrain' intact? What the hell could have produced the subbrain that produced that shiv? Loren's technical knowledge of such is limited, just that she knows they are valuable for their magical resonance and the ability to process raw mana input into a balanced output, and even then, it was mostly academic knowledge on their value as export and economics.

The bloated stomach in the things waist swells up as whatever spatial magic was keeping it tight begins to unwind, and Mary cuts it loose, dragging it aside as best she can. The fact that it's likely full of corpses is not lost on either of you. Mary does set aside another heart, indicating a third one was present. Having finished hollowing the thing out, she turns her attention to the limbs you've torn loose, but her knife actually won't cut by this point, having been ground smooth by the abrasive hardness of the Ogres tissues.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

If you want to do that, then sure. I think that Talren could actually retrieve the corpse, but he'd have to drag it. Lifting it is probably in his wheelhouse, but lifting and lugging it miles are two very different things. He certainly couldn't fly with it.

Well okay, but I still don't hear anything that would make them more then Talren could deal with at least one on one, ignoring their weaknesses for now. He's highly resistant to magic and even if the host can't really die, he can still tear it piece to piece rendering it kind of neutralized. I personally think your best bet if you want something Talren can't deal with is numbers. He's one guy, regardless of how powerful he is, so there is a limit to what he can do, especially against numbers of elite combatants.

Listening to her break down in tears I let out a breath, looking at my blood soaked hands. Pulling out a piece of cloth I clean them the best I can as I release calming pheromones, before patting her on the head, "You did great. I don't know who this creature killed but I'm sure they'll be proud of you... But you've avenged them so it's time to live for yourself."

Being reminded of that shiv, I actually cringe at the brain. Still, I understand that something like this would be valuable... especially to an enchantress... Hmm... "Say, mind if I keep this? I'm fine with it being taken out of my portion of the loot."

Taking the knife in hand, I look it over, before seeing if I can sharpen it by running my claws along it. It's common for dragons to sharpen their claws on metal ores but that doesn't necessarily mean I can sharpen metal with my claws, but it is worth a try.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Right, the thing is that these are not 'locals' so they're not limited by crystal magic in any way, just how much mana they can put out and their personal knowledge, which they tend to share fairly extensively. I'm thinking they'll favor teleporting material between Talren and them to defend themselves once they realize his magic resistance, on top of using their ability with charm and full blown mind control to bring in hostiles. In the coming encounter, the Weaver is going to be the threat toward Talren. The Parasite is mostly going to be elite mooks, and the threats are likely to come from the creature they've infested combined with having a caster direct them and stitch them back together, like say, a mythril ogre but that's for a later fight.

She sniffles slightly before she gets to work, obviously distracting herself with something while she works. She doesn't mind you taking the sub-brain, even slipping it into a small pouch thing that has some kind of time magic rippling through it. At a guess, something to preserve any particularly valuable specimens. You recall seeing something similar when the Oracle received her 'stardust'. It doesn't take her long to completely hollow out the chest cavity, something she's standing knee deep in before she's done. The huge spines sticking out of its back actually extend from the spinal column. One of them anyway, there's another one more central that seems to have the actual nerves in it, the one along its back seems to be purely structural, a good thing you hadn't gone for it.

You manage to resharpen the blade fairly quickly although you look and realize that the damned monster not only bruised your face, it took one of your damn claws. Well, a damaged claw is probably a worthy price for such a good fight. Creatures of this grade are not common given the reaction at the hunters guild, but finding a few more, perhaps as pets or guard dogs might be worth looking into. The meat on the limbs is now being pulled loose, and the way Mary is skinning it, you could rip off chunks to eat, or you could cook some. Judging by the raw metallic scent, it's probably poisonous to humanoids though, like eating metal dust. How well you can handle that... In vengeance for the stolen claw, and while you mull over eating the meat, you take a bite of rib bone, and the densely packed magic explodes in your mouth, washing over you and you can feel the scales you kindly donated earlier tingle as they feed on the magic. It will still take a while for the actual minerals to reach them, but the surge of the right kind of magic has jump started the regrowth process. Your scales might actually come back stronger this time. That said, your sisters will probably never let you live it down if you grow in dull greyish red scales instead of your near black with a reddish tinge. You're the youngest, but going grey...

Something grabs your attention from the meal, a magical tingling. Searching, you see nothing, but there's a good bit of wind magic and... light magic coming from a particular direction back toward the human colonized mountain. It's getting closer alarmingly fast, and you see plants part under wake around whatever it is turns and slows for a few seconds before a massive pulse of wind magic sends the invisible object almost straight up. Trying to see something invisible, you almost didn't catch the silvery grey figure that suddenly appeared from behind it. A strange magical signature goes active, and the figure plows a deep furrow in the ground as it lands, a spell pistol and small shield clutched in its hands. You feel your hackles rise up, a challenger for your prey! As it approaches, you see its feet sink deep into the ground, before it stops a few dozen paces. It's very heavily armored, massive angular plates a departure from the smaller crystalline and ceramic inserts favored by the locals. Chest plate and helmet are uru, limbs have some uru, but mostly mythril. The helmet is almost smooth, a pair of purple eye slits the main defining feature besides a large red gem in the center of the forehead.

Sizing the stranger up with your instincts telling you that the other dragon is a threat... other dragon? The dissonance is enough to break whatever strong instinctive urge was driving you to begin analyzing this newcomer as a threat after your prey, horde, and harem. You recognize the red gem now, it's one of the crystals that Elizabeth made, meaning this is someone with good connections. Combined with the powerful mana flow being drawn through it, it gave off a very strong impression of another dragon. She, and you can now tell she's female from the way the armor fits her, puts two fingers against her throat guard and does...something that hisses in the magical energy around you. Repositioning her fingers, her voice booms out and you realize who it is. "You know, I had to cancel several very important meetings to come kill this thing because of the threat it posed. And I show up and you've already killed and partially eaten the damned thing." Theresa complains to you.

Never said they were limited to crystal magic, but Talren is resistant to magic in general, so that's why I am surprised they're to give him so much trouble.

Noticing my missing claw I let out a very audible tsk. Claws take even longer then scales to heal. Still, probably should find it. They're valuable, so I shouldn't just waste them. The idea that my scales would be a dull grey worries me greatly despite the fact they shouldn't do that. But the idea my beautiful scales would become a dull grey, even at the compensation of increased durability, is more then a bit unsettling.

Distracted by my thoughts, I am taken massively off-guard by the sudden arrival of a stranger. I let out a long sigh once I recognize Theresa, "Well, if you just asked, I would have told you I'd handle it. You should know by now that hunting is a bit of my expertise..."

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I've always treated it like immunity to telekinesis: ie your resistance applies to you, but things that alter the environment around you are fair game. You can expect them to start throwing blobs of sharpened earth around and all kinds of fun stuff. While it's not exactly common, magical rock paper scissors is a common enough concept that almost everything that's old enough is going to have worked out a few ways around resistance to magic or at least specific kinds of magic.

Also, we've never covered this, but how would Talren's body react to a magically generated laser? My assumption is that he would simply tank the thermal damage as it would be similar enough to fire damage.

Also also: where I got the ship name: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBpv_pcUEIQ

Theresa raises the front of the helmet's face mask, although you note the red gemstone that likely protects her from any mental attacks or charm spells stays exactly where it was. A brief flash of memory from Loren disturbs you a bit, Theresa entering the royal meeting hall, covered in blood and mangled armor similar to this one, carrying a sack... but it fades quickly. Something to look into later perhaps.

The way the protective gemstone, the armor around her, and her own natural abilities interacted created a radically different scent on her magical signature. Still, the armor is interesting, very different from the tight body suit that the royal family prefers to wear in the day to day activities. The large invisible thing returns and the light magic around it peals away, revealing a heavily modified Hawk, the two main wind magic crystals seeming to have some kind of netting around them, a third medium wind crystal sticking out the back and several of the 'field guns' mounted on swiveling turrets hanging down. The words 'BRINGER OF PAIN' are stenciled across the side in what might be the single most childish thing you've seen done to a weapon.

The ship settles, and the side door opens, Elizabeth hopping out and skipping toward the dismembered corpse and beginning to ooh and aah over the bits that have been saved. "Theresa, Theresa! They harvested the subbrain! Buy it buy it!" Like a child in a candy store. You see that unlike normal, Elizabeth has the Bright Bow, and Theresas plan is pretty clear if the beast was active, Theresa would engage it while Elizabeth hammered it from range. Mary is staring at the lot of you. "Your highness? What are you doing here?" She seems taken aback by Theresa's presence.

I consider the vision for a moment as I observer her battle armor. My thoughts are interrupted by Elisa excitement. I call out, "Must you ruin my plans, Elisa? I intended on gifting it to you already."

Laughing at Mary's reaction I simply pose the question, "I told you how I was living in the wilderness before becoming a hunter... Who do you think brought me into the kingdom?"

"Talren? Hey, Talren's here?" Elizabeth is smart... but not the most situation-ally aware. "Oh, it's a gift. That's great! Theresa will probably buy all the materials as well. Look at this!" She pulls a femur up out of the freshly butched leg, and you've spotted your talon, embedded deep into the metallic bone. But Elizabeth is so cute when she's all excited about having crafting materials. "Oh, I almost forgot..." Elizabeth wipes some of the blood off her hands, before reaching into a little pouch on her side and pulling out a monster spell pistol similar to the one Theresa had, but it's got some differences.

Theresa's spell pistol has the 'familiar' multispell drum up at the end of it, a large storage crystal at the back. Inspecting the pistol she hands you, it's got the same sort of large storage crystal on the back, but there's very little 'guidance' interface on the front, and no spell drum. Instead, it's got a lever assembly of some kind, and sliding it forward the front section extends outward and pops up, revealing a slightly mushroomed back end of a spell crystal. The crystals are densely packed and don't seem to react to your presence. There's eight of them, each having a different flavor of magic to them. One odd thing is the two vents along the ends of the spell crystal, facing outwards. There's also a small sliding lever near where your thumb rests on the gripping hand.

Funneling a bit of mana into it, the back section begins to softly glow as it soaks up the power. Recalling the heat, vibrations and near shattering of the more common spell components you nearly destroyed cramming your natural supply through it, this one is much more robustly built. The removability of the primary spell crystal is also nice, as it will let you test individual spells you might want, as opposed to the spell drum that Theresa's pistol has. The small vents start to make sense as well, thinking about the possible volatility of the spell crystals. An exploding crystal would be directed out and away from you instead of possibly exploding in your face.

Elizabeth looks at you with large, puppydog eyes, clutching the bone and talon to her chest, begging you not to take it from her.

Getting a good look at the various spell crystals, there's a total of nine here, and if you don't miss your guess, there's probably a mating holster of some kind with different spells on them. Looking at the back of the pistol, there's a large dull rounded knob at the tip, and closing the lever and locking in the spell crystal, the symbol on the back of the main crystal appears on the small knob. A thin light also begins to extend outwards around the circle, five interrupters present. Experimenting, feeding more power into it causes the interrupters to slide around toward the 'start', and then another one appears, also sliding back. Ah, 'spells per charge'. Adjusting the small slide at the thumb also adjusts these same interrupters, one direction being more power and one being less. There's a slight resistance at both ends as the lever detents, the 'low power' end creating a large x over the spell, and the other makes all of the interrupts disappear and a red circle appear over the spell icon. The pistol itself seems to have an ample supply of light and cold magic built into it, unlike most of the common 'dummy spell crystals' like what Mary has, where the 'pistol' is little more than a handle and trigger wrapped around an all in one spell crystal. The monster storage crystal at the back is something you'd see more on a military spell rifle, and even then, it's an order of magnitude more dense.

Settling on a middle range for now, there's always time to investigate later, you point the spell pistol at the moderate sized boulder, at least a meter thick. Holding the pistol up, a small retical pops up, floating in the air. Tugging it from side to side does not create a 'trailing path' like what a lot of the fancier pistols have that estimates a trajectory. The densely packed light and fire magic in it is probably one of those 'sneaky' spells where it simply flies toward a target and then detonates. Taking aim center of mass, pulling the trigger causes a massive mana surge, a strange chirping sound audible. A tightly wound spell forms in front of the pistol, storing most of the mana from the shot. The effect on the boulder is immediate, the entire side facing you lighting up in blinding intensity before glowing rock erupts out of the impact location. It takes almost a quarter of a second for the spell to drain itself, and another few for the rock to drop below the blinding white light. The rock is still heavily molten at the impact, but a fist sized cavity is visible at point of impact, followed by a deep hole partially drilling through the boulder are clearly visible as the latent heat of the spell slowly bleeds out to the rest of the rock. The idea of making a rock bleed magma is strangely appealing.

"It's called a 'Light Bore'. You don't see them in small weapon spells since you need a field gun sized fuel converter. After that, you really only see them mounted to scout and patrol ships for extremely long range fire, although that itself is rare. The other spells are interesting as well, but that seemed the most useful for a show." Eliza tells you, over the slight humming of the pistol. The pistol itself has split open with what you can only describe as gills or fins, and a bit of wind magic is pulling air across it to cool before the thing decides it's happy and closes back up, ready to go again. Of course, there are more settings and more spells to play with. This may or may not have been worth those scales you gave Eliza, but that's for you to decide.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Welp, got you a laser pistol. The dragon bolt, I've been picturing as a concussive and thermal impact and tends to penetrate armor by pulping it and everything behind it. The 'light bore' is effectively a drill that digs deep into a target and can bypass a number of types of shields, plus the delightful secondary effects of dumping that much raw energy into something.

I'm planning on a magma shot or two, stream and glob specifically, a lightning storm, an ice shot, and probably some more if I can think of them, but I'm open to suggestions if you have any preferences.

I put on a show of sighing and slumping my shoulder, "Oh alright, you can keep it, but you owe me one. Dragon's talons are a very personal thing that we don't give lightly." She doesn't need to know that the plan was to give it to her anyways. While it certainly is personal, she is family, and while I could give it to my other sisters... what would they do with it? They likely won't feel much in the way of symbolic meaning, as they don't appreciate the weight to dragons it has. She, at the very least, will be able to actually use it so it makes the most sense that she gets it.

Looking over it, this thing is incredibly easy to understand, and with the sight, I shouldn't have much issues getting use to using it with the same level of accuracy as my dragon bolt. Lining it up I feel a sense of childish glee as I squeeze the trigger. My glee only increases as I witness it's effects, letting out an unconscious laugh, "Oh, I like this!" I announce, before looking over to Elisa, as she explains it. I march on up to her, before hugging her and spinning around with her, "It's great! It's awesome!!! Thank you so much!"

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

I believe the first time Talren used his Dragon Bolt I believe explained it as a sort of HEAT round, so yeah, that sounds about right.

Let's see, there were 9, so with the ones you mentioned we got 5 so far. Sonic perhaps? Less powerful then the others but as sound can travel through objects it could still damage things behind armor kind of thing? Or would that not be something they would do? Other then that, maybe a stun, disorientation or other status effect ones? Other then that perhaps a weapon that upon hitting something shatters it, probably called an 'earthquake cannon' or something similar because of its effects when hitting the ground, alternatively there is always the simple explosive shot. They probably don't have anti-magic so we can skip over that, unless she used one of his scale for that. Do they have spells that can create acid? What kind of elements do they have access to? Fire, ice(so thermal) and lightning obviously, but do they have others?
