Ierien seems to have wised up that she is maybe a little outmatched in physical combat here as she takes her stance, a little further away from Theresa this time. She swallows heavily as she stares down the queen and seems to be looking for flaws in the new armor that Theresa is using. It has minor damage from when the two of you advanced on a dug in Void Weaver, but most if not all of the badly damaged parts seem to have been replaced, even if the scorch marks haven't all been buffed out.
At the mark, Ierien wisely jumps back as Theresa begins to advance once more, leading with a dragonbolt at Theresa's raised half shield. The bolt impacts, a gout of flame and Theresa stumbles slightly, the impact force incredible, as Ierien tries to see what kind of damage she did, eyes going wide as saucers as the minor dent in the shield is the only visible sign of the impact as Theresa starts to really pour on the magical power. Before that, Ierien manages to bark out a word of power, a translucent shield forming in front of her as she starts letting one hand begin making signs. The queen begins... flexing her mana draw, randomly increasing and decreasing the amount of pull on the mana in the room, making it difficult to weave mana into proper spell forms before Ierien's suddenly forced to deal with the multi-ton object slamming into her shield.
Theresa leads with a full bodies flying punch into the shield, which
ripples and you can see it ripping magical power and transferring some of the stress to Ierien who grunts and strains to maintain the shield, whatever attack the dragon was preparing abandoned as she realizes the shield will not hold for long. Theresa leads with two shoving punches, driving Ierien back, her talons digging rents in the floor as the shield transfers more of the power it's trying to absorb into the caster. Theresa does a big wind up, and you recognize the build up of force and wind magic before her arm actually blurs, striking the shield once more before it ripples a bit too far, rupturing. And like that, Ierien has to deal with backlash of having a spell broken as Theresa closes the distance.
This time, rather than going for a quick busted lip, Theresa lays into Ierien with a rolling combination of strikes, massive bruises forming on the skin she's got revealed as Theresa focuses on doing damage while keeping the blood on the inside. The dragon girl eventually falters, falling to the ground as Theresa sits on her fallen foes stomach, knocking the wind out of her and giving her two hammering blows to the head, crating the stone floor around her horns before drawing back her left fist, the cluster of another boosted punch building, and you see the fear take over as she begins frantically trying to weave a spell, a single dragon bolt hammering Theresa in the shoulder before the queen drives her fist into the ground next to the downed dragon's head.
Theresa gets up after a second, popping her helmet and shaking the bits of stone and dragon blood off her hands as she goes for a small bottle of water. Ierien is sitting up, hyperventilating, eyes wide and unseeing as she realizes that while she may be powerful, her power is far from perfect. As much as you like her, Theresa's blows are frighteningly powerful, and you're reminded that with what little you've heard, the only people that pose a challenge for Theresa are those she can't get her hands on in the ring. Finally, shivering before getting to her feet, Ierien is startled when a blue haired girl runs by you, offering her a bottle of water as well, before hitting her with a list of questions. When the hell did Elizabeth get here?
