Looking at it now, you can see the signs that she's a bit worse, one of her main social interactions having ceased, but if what you're seeing isn't actually her 'bad times' and is just her normal emotions, which is what you've seen, she's always been antisocial. Dammit Loren.

Miki is there, supervising like you expected in the more royal oriented small kitchen, directing a few people as she sniffs at the seasoning mixes to verify them at the proper ratios. She hasn't noticed you, and you could slip behind the counter and surprise her, but she's working so it'd probably not be appreciated.

Loren, Loren, Loren... What were you doing?

If she was alone I might have 'paid her a visit' but I restrain myself in front of her crew, instead waiting at the counter for her to notice me.

You're not the best at socializing, but Loren definitely had a problem with seeing the flaws of those she cared for. She could accurately predict their actions most of the time, but had a major affection issue it seemed.

She eventually does spot, and starts to yell for one of the servers before she pauses and gets another look at you. She grins, but does indeed summon a server to man the counter as she approaches. "And what can I do for such a handsome gentleman?" She smiles at you.

"Some company would be nice," I give her a pleased grin of my own, before adding, "Though it looks like you're too busy for that. Perhaps I'll have to settle for your buns in my hands."

She lets out a cheerful laugh as you tease her. "Ah, that would be nice. But I'm a working girl, and I need to stay that way. Let me get you a fresh package of them unless you want to eat here?" Her smile is still as bright and sunny as ever, and you enjoy it.

"I'll eat them here. Haven't had much chance to see you except in passing so I figure I might as well make up for lost time," I soak up her addictive cheer, adding "You're a lot more cheerful then when I first met you, so it seems like things are working out well for you."

"Hmm, yes I'm doing much better. I figured a few things out once I got a head start. I'm even making enough money to send a bit back home." She tells you, putting together a small plate with different samples, and then pouring you some green tea in a small handleless mug.

"That's good to hear," I smile, drinking a gulp of tea, "I heard one of the princesses commenting about you."

Miki freezes, her eyes going wide. "What? About me? Where would they hear that?" She seems really nervous about that, but before you can answer her, you spot Elizabeth coming out of a hallway yawning, likely on her way to pick up some meat buns and some kind of stimulating drink or tea.

Hm, making her have blue hair would certainly explain why she's not thought of as a royal. Maybe make her and Victoria twins?

"And speak of the devil. May I introduce you to princess Elizabeth," I comment gesturing towards her as she approaches.

I mean, two sets of twins does make it more likely that twins run in the family.

Miki stares at her, her eyes going quite wide. Elizabeth doesn't spot you until she's almost next to you, she's lost in her own little world. "Talren! What are you doing here?" She asks, startled. Miki tries to do a curtsy, and Elizabeth rolls her eyes, glaring at you. "I finally find someone who doesn't do that shit, and you go and ruin it for me."

And here we can see the fundamental different approach between Loren and Talren. Loren is a supportive person, right down to being an enabler, while Talren will drag you kicking and screaming if he has to.

"Well you were talking about Miki and her meat buns, so I started craving them... And I was doing this strange thing called... socializing. You should try it sometime," I answer her, continuing my lecturing from before. As Miki tries to curtsy I grab her shoulder, shaking my head, "If she wanted you to she'd told you to." Turning to Elizabeth, I retort, "Well excuse me, I thought talking with Miki would be a good start for your social reconditioning. Come on, say hi and introduce yourself. That's social interactions 101."

Elizabeth glares at you, flicking a bit of blue hair out of her eyes as she smiles at Miki. "Hello, I'm Elizabeth Bright, how do you do?" She at least remembers some of her lessons. Miki is flabbergasted that you talk to a princess like this, her eyes incredibly wide as she stammers and stutters.

Noting Miki's nervousness, I pat her on the shoulder, "She's just a person, no reason to get scared. Just introduce yourself."

Miki goes to curtsy again, but stops herself, instead nodding and offering a hand to shake. "Miki Shadowstalker. I am fine, and hope you are the same. Would you like your usual?" She seems a bit more grounded now.

I stand back smiling a bit, "Excellent. You two should probably hang out a bit in the future."

The two of them stare at you a bit, before returning their attention to each other, making various uncomfortable noises and grunts as Miki sets about getting Elisa a bun filled with egg, sausage, cheese, and potato and a cup of hot green tea and the two of them start to chat a bit. Very good, two of your lovers are now properly acquainted.

I turn my attention to my meat buns. It's not like I can miss the gate opening with Elisa right there.

Elisa picks at her food, likely something else already in her stomach, while you listen into the two of them chatting about... stuff. It mostly seems like very basic palace gossip, and with the both of them glancing at you on occasion, you're probably something that would be discussed.

I smile at them as they glance my way initially but after the third or so I comment, "Feel free to talk about anything you're comfortable with. I'm not shy, but that doesn't mean I'll leak private information."
