Whatever the case as the drop ship begins to circle Vivian decides to take a risk.

She gently drops her gun, and when the drop ship is facing away from her crawls back to her weaponry loaded canoe as fast as she can on her hands and knees. Quick as she can she peels back the protective tarp over it, and hastily grabs the weapon she was super glad she left on the top: The Carl Gustav rocket launcher. She takes it, cracks it open, primes a shell, and slides it in the tube before closing it all back up as fast as she can. And just in time too, as the ship settles and opens, two troopers and... a sectoid? A buff ass sectoid jumping out. Her mother always told her they were diminutive cannon fodder little things... guess they got some upgrades. Whatever the case, they didn't seem to see her, their backs slightly turned to her as they headed toward the cabin. She was not too concerned with that though, as she was about to get their attention in just a moment.

Aiming upwards, the drop ship still hovering in place for a few more moments. The ship was only thirty meters away max, completely still, and over an open area away from the cabin. Vivian knows she can't hope for a better chance then this, so shoulders the rocket, aims upwards, gets the back end of the craft in her sight with all the glowing engine bits on it, and fires. Vivian grimaces as a loud hiss and bang fills her ears, the sudden rocket ignition stealing the breath from her lungs, but in a fraction of a second that rocket should be punching right into that alien ship and taking it's bitch ass down.

Of course though, then she'd have to deal with two troopers and the sectoid, and her service rifle was on the shore a good ten meters away. Perhaps if she was really lucky the ship might land on their asses, but her best bet was throw the launcher back in the canoe and dash for the rifle as none of the other dozens of weapons in the canoe was loaded with magazines or shells handy.

The sectoid and the troopers were barely on the ground when Vivian sighted the dropship in her recoilless rifle. A soft 'phut' was Vivians only indication that she had actually pulled the trigger, the air exploding into packing peanuts as the filling of the rifle showered around her face. For a split second that was all that Vivian saw, then she heard the air explode into fire as the booster kicked in, firing the projectile straight at the dropship. Advent forces on the ground barely had a second to react before the round burst through the dropship armor, penetrating into the cargo compartment before detonating.

Debris rained down violently, a hail of shrapnel that annihilated the troopers below the dropship. Some debris rained down on the cottage, bouncing off the wooden roofs, while other bits of flaming debris showered the land. The sectoid screamed violently, whipping around to trace the source of the blast and spotting Vivian swimming frantically towards her rifle.

From the corner of her eye Vivian could see the air glow purple around the sectoid, but just as she scrambled up the riverbank to reach her rifle, she felt her body suddenly go aflame with total desire. Moaning helplessly, Vivian could see a purple haze around her vision, the world tinged with a sickly dark purple filter... except for a thin thread of bright purple, almost pink in its luminescence. Turning to see the source, Vivian could see the sectoid standing tall and proud, covered in glowing purple light, and a point of pure blinding brilliance at his crotch, a magnificent beacon beckoning Vivian overwhelmingly, suffocating all attempts to do something else.

Well since its the beginning of the game and all I sort have the benefit of the backstory setting for all the weapons. Once we get back to the Carrier though I imagine it will be back to the sniper rifle/sidearm combo for her.

Vivian's eyes almost twinkle with awe at the sight of the devastation she causes as the rocket punches into the blocky aircraft through it's back end and into the cargo area where the troopers and buff looking sectoid had come from. Fire and shrapnel come flying down, slicing up the two troopers as the craft started to spin, flames belching from all it's new holes. There is a wicked whine to air as the craft starts to sink, it's spin increasing in speed as some of of the thrusters continued to glow and try to keep the drop ship in the air, but to no avail. In only a few seconds the thing smashes into the trees bordering her little forest clearing on the lake, smashing them to bits while the aircraft itself seem to collapse on itself, before a secondary explosion triggered sending out a horrifically loud bang and accompanying shock wave. Vivian's long blonde hair fluttered behind her in the intense wind, even despite being wet, and soon enough there is only a twisted pile of alien metal, orange, purple, and pink flames shooting off the wreck and high into the air. All in all it was a fantastic sight, certainly like nothing Vivian had ever seen before!

Awesome as it was though, she soon notices the sectoid looking right at her, the sight of it making her heart skip a beat. Ditching the launcher back in the canoe she bolt for her weapon, splashing through the water on her hands and knees trying to get to it. However, just as she gets withing a few feet of her rifle, her hand reaching out to grab it, her body erupts again with unnatural lust. Except this time it was far more intense then the weapons of the troopers or the gas the alien dogs released upon death. There was no sudden quick build up this time.
