Bio:
Her father a raider, while her mother an a captive. The man found the young elf as she was trying to fend off one of his comrades and took a fancy to the feisty girl, killing the assaulter and keeping her for himself. From their union Sae was born.
Her childhood was as bitter as the relationship between her parents.
Her father treated her mother more like a wife than a slave, and while she developed some sense of affection, she never forgave him for being one of the raiders that destroyed her previous life. Part of those feelings were projected upon Sae, and while this didn't impede her from loving her daughter, she still neglected her quite a lot, not even noticing how her elvish inheritance made a loner out of her among the children of the raider camp, which were mostly human ones
Interacting mostly only with her parents was the root of her social awkwardness, but if there was a positive side to it, it was that she had a lot of idle time alone, which she completely used to either practice in the fighting tricks her father taught her or study some of the other raiders while they sparred and later copy them. As a result, her fighting skill improved by the day while her social skill inversely worsened at similar speed.

Her everyday life came to an end when their camp got attacked by another band of raiders.
The attack was unexpected and well prepared, and Sae was barely able to escape during the chaos thanks to her skills. When afterwards she returned to check the ruins, everything was destroyed and most people killed, among them her parents, leaving her with no place or people to return to.
This marked the beginning of her life as a vagrant, traveling among the wastelands and living the days as they came, sometimes robbing someone, some other time working as a mercenary, scraping by while hindered by social ineptitude.

Years went by, and one day she came across two raiding groups fighting each other, or to be precise a group of raiders defending their camps by a rival gang and barely able to hold on. She knew both of them, the defenders were a group of mostly werewolves and the attackers a mixed band, and while with the defenders she didn't have too many grievances, with those attackers she had one too many grudges and as such she joined the fray, breaking the subtle balance of the battle and turning the tables against the attackers.
After the fight was over with a sense of new-found comradery Sae accepted to become those raiders temporary leader since their chief died during the assault, though it was never specified how long that “temporary” would last, in fact becoming just a formality as since then she's been leading the band.

the group had been doing well recently, that was probably down to you. it was fair to say you didn't really fit in, but you had respect here, they seemed to trust you, and you where now the defacto leader of the group. no one seemed to have a problem with you being in control at the moment.
you where currently settled in the ruins of a small settlement. there was plenty of room in the small group of houses and it was easily defendable, if need should arise. the raiders where lively, seeming happy overall, morale was high, and there had been little to change that recently. you had the upper floor of one of the buildings to yourself, and you had a good view of the fire in the center of the camp bellow. you could see a few children playing nearby, and some of the men drinking and discussing they're good fortune. but for the moment you where alone.
there was plenty you could be doing, you could practice, or have an early night, or even go down and find someone to talk to, or do something else with.

Sae took a look out of the window as she cleaned her short blade, taking in the lively view outside and slightly smiling in response. How much time had it been since she joined this band, leaving behind her lonely life of wandering? In the beginning she was reluctant, even a bit blaming towards herself since she let the sense of camaraderie along with some booze affect her sense of judgment, accepting their offer, but after passing some time living with a large number of people again she found out she didn't hate it as much as she thought. Sure, there were high and low, but it wasn't bad. Was it because, despite being different, despite having an hard personality to get along with, they still respected and accepted her?

She shook her head as such silly thoughts, dismissing them while resuming her weapon maintenance. She had been at it for hours, yet only now that was already evening she was done, finally free to do whatever she wanted... not that she had much to do anyway. Thinking so she took her blade back into the sheath, walking towards the door and passing through it, wanting to go down and take a walk around, wondering if she'll get to listen in to some interesting stories while passing by or maybe meet one of the big shots that help her keep things together here so they could discuss about future plans or targets.

as you head downstairs, you meet one of the women in the group coming the other way with some food. the woman where in the minority in the camp as a whole, so you didn't tend to see them as much. she was young and quite pretty, and if memory served correctly, she was actually a daughter of one of the older members of the groups
" oh hey, Sae, I was just going to bring you some food" she tells you with a smile. her name was Tai and she generally tried to be friendly with you, as did many of the others

Going down the stairs Sae bumps in a familiar yet rare face, it wasn't easy to meet women around the camp due to their low number and it was even harder for Sae since she didn't go much around.

<Oh, Tai> she nods toward the girl <Is it already dinner time? Time sure flies uh...> she comments, trying to not appear too unfriendly, then approaches the girl to accept the food, then asks <Anything interesting out there? It was pretty lively when i looked from the window>

she shrugs " I doubt there's much to interest you honestly, but spirits are high, everyone seems happy, we haven't had any trouble for quite a while" she tells you with a smile , she lets you take the food from her, it was fairly basic, a bowl full of a broth but it smelt pretty good. " I'm sure everyone will be glad to see you" she tells you

<Being in high spirits is good> she nods while taking a look at the food, then nods again in appreciation for what she found <There is nothing to be glad about, i'm just taking a walk around> she comments, though her tone doesn't really match the harshness of her words, showing she wasn't as annoyed as she sounded <Rather, is your father around?>

"somewhere" she says with a smile " he's probably telling stories again. but it is nice to see you coming out to mingle, it's quite rare honestly" she tells you. she was doing her best to be friendly, but it was clear that she wasn't entirely sure how to interact with you " your welcome to come join us girls, if your uncomfortable around the men you know" she tells you a little more confidently

As Tai mentioned her father telling stories, Sae couldn't help but remember how indeed he liked to do just that, sometime bragging about that time with the orcs, that other time retelling how brave he was when he was young, and so on like that, resulting in a small chuckle. She doesn't comment about the rarity of her social excursions, more concerned about how unlike the girl's comment she effectively would feel relatively more at ease while among the men than with the women due to her low contact with the female gender.

Thinking about it, since she was invited, she could just follow the girl for now and take a look at how other girls in the camp lived their life, so with the a state of mind similar to that of someone going to see a rare animal at a zoo, she nods <Well, I guess it'll be good to eat with you today>

she smiles happily " that's great" she tells you with a smile, " well follow me then" she says warmly as she turns to lead you to where the other girls in the group where gathered, they all seemed pretty excited to see you overall, there where so few of them that they didn't even have a building to themselves. however the men who would be here as well where either in another room at the moment, or outside around the main fire with the bulk of the group.

Sae followed Tai in the ruins until she reached the area they were staying in, remembering how they were so few in number that weren't even able to get a building for themselves and yet she herself had a whole floor to live in... not that she wished to share. She wasn't that selfless after all, and even if there was a bit of pity for them, it wasn't enough for her to share her living area, not when she knew so little about them.

Once she was among them she nodded in greeting, then looked around for a place to sit and eat while listening to their chat, due to her nature not even considering to start a topic herself.

they say close around a small smile, leaving just enough room for you and Tai, she'd waited for you to sit down but was now sat next to you. they where gossiping before you sat down, but now that you'd joined them you where the centre of attention, they all looked at you expecting you to say something. Tai chuckles softly at they're reaction but says nothing, allowing you to be the center of attention

Sae awaits for them to speak while sipping her broth, but only silence seemed to follow as she herself didn't consider they might see her as some sort of special guest of sort, resulting in a somewhat awkward mood until she hears Tai chuckle, and at that she gives her a stare before finally understanding why exactly they weren't talking anymore.

After taking another sip from her bowl while considering what to say, Sae finally spoke in a not too high tone <So, what do you girls usually do or talk about around this time?> trying to break the ice as well as getting to know what “normal” girl around her age do in places like this, considering how most of them aren't really raiders but mostly their families.

"well...." Tai says thinking.
" we talk about the guys, obviously, quite a lot anyway" one of the young ones tells you
" and we talk about what's happened, who's been doing what," another adds
" that kind of thing" Tai agrees with a smile " as for what we do that varies quite a lot, we just generally have fun" she tells you

Sae listens to their chat, actually quite interested in knowing what other girls do since she never really had a chance to mingle with them or any other group since young, being a loner and all in the raider camp she was born into and later a solo wanderer, but the answers leave her a bit confused. Why would they talk about the guys? Are they that interested in how their raiding activities proceed? Suddenly Sae feels like Tai's father should be very popular among those young girls.

<What are you so interested about the guys and what they do? It's not like the raids are that great to talk about, most of the time> she comments with a flat tone <And what do you do that is so funny? It's not like there is much to do around here aside from the chores>

they giggle " what do you mean?" one of them asks " why would we not talk about guys?"
" the raids may not be intresting, but well.... we need something to talk about" Tai tells you
" fun.... well, whatever we can, we play games some times and mess around a bit..."
the girls laugh, they seem surprised that you don't know any of that, but none of them seem to mind as a whole, but they did seem to find it interesting

Their reasoning seems reasonable, so she nods while commenting <I guess if there is nothing else to talk about, the men and their exploits during the raids seems like a decent topic to talk about> maybe it was the conversation flowing as a whole, maybe it was the friendly mood, as a whole Sae got more comfortable about chatting with those young girls and as such more talkative than usual <Games? What sort of games are popular lately? It's been a years since the last time I messed around, so i'm not sure what's in vogue now. Is hide and seek still all the rage?> to be precise it's been since her childhood that she hasn't played any real games, gambling not included, and even back then she could only play alone, though she still remembered the other kids playing that and as such mentioned that particular game.

they all burst out laughing thinking that you where joking.
"usually something like poker or other card games at the moment" Tai tells you still laughing a bit

<Oh!> Sae almost exclaims in surprise, she would have never thought those girl would play something so... adult? No, dangerous? Maybe. After all, aside from a few card games, most of them were used while gambling and having seen some examples, Sae knew how dangerous gambling could become, despite having done it a few times herself when in need of cash, ammo or whatever was being bet at the time, luckily never incurring too harsh penalties though there were a few close calls.

<I understand, those could be considered enjoyable, even addicting if you aren't careful enough> she nods in agreements to her own words <Need to know when to stop, if you know what I mean...> she beings to remember some of her own experiences, not for long tough <...but then again, it's not like things could get dangerous while playing among yourselves>

there was more laughter, "it's just for fun Sae," Tai tells you with a smile, " poker was an example more than anything, It's more likely to be something like cheat, or Mao or something like that honestly" she tells you with a smile

She knew her social skills were on the low side, but she still got a bit of cultural shock by how differently her mind worked compared to those girls. Was it because she was a loner and as such she had been out of touch with group mentality for way too long? Or was it because she had lived a far too dangerous life till now so she couldn't really understand how those girls with a relatively more relaxed life lived their days?

Nonetheless she didn't comment, taking a low sip from the broth to hide her awkwardness before finally speaking again, trying to change topic in a bit too obvious way <What were you talking about before I got there?>
