They nod back to you, each taking hold of their half of the door, pressing their weight against its significant mass, only managing to have it open at a casual pace. Once it got about half open, one of the guards announces in a booming voice, "All kneel before Her Highness." The gather court complies, kneeling before the throne until you cross the small distance from the gate to it and sit down on it. One thing that helped your nerves is that this court is only with your father's advisor council, and thus, all people you have meet before.
The first to speak is a woman with jet black hair, a very sharp gaze, and absolute precision in her movements, "Miss Katherine, as the new sovereign, you will need to decide on policy now, and even if you decide to continue your father's, you should at least be aware of what they are." Leona Duana's brazen use of your first name isn't surprising... after all she was your tutor since you were a girl, and still tutors your younger sister, not to mention she was also both father's the steward and chamberlain, and one of the few people outside the royal family who could enter the royal quarters without an invitation.

The next to speak was an older man, who despite his age held himself with strength, betraying his military background. High Lord General Valter Winther, the highest ranking military officer in the kingdom, and due to your father's obsession with the military, widely considered your father's right hand man. He, obviously excepting you to be ill-disposed towards the military, appeals to you, "Then allow me to start. Your Highness, I am aware that you are not as fond of the military as your late father, however I urge you to show restraint in curtailing your forces. Competent soldiers will take time to train, and should we find ourselves in another war with the Holy Rathfor Empire, we will not have time to train them from the ground up."

"That is why we have a line of fortification on that border complete with a garrison. We hardly need the expenditure of a standing army, especially since our recent acquisition of Kuttainen has revealed it's woefully inadequate infrastructure. There a no less that three major farming villages that transport their goods to market by paths made by cattle and cart. Not to mention Kuttainen proper only has cobblestone roads on it's largest roads. Your highness, I suggest we redirect funds to extending our road network into Kuttainen. While it is an investment once it is complete, commence will increase, and thus our tax revenue, not to mention the tolls, so will pay for itself in time," The immediate rebuttal and counter-proposal originated from another old man, though far more lanky, but no less will behind his eyes, and is the kingdom's treasurer, Aural Ottmar. He is a very calculating man, and often comes to conflict with Valter, leading to a long rivalry between them. You can tell that he is reckoning that with your crowning, he finally has the chance to remove Valter from his favored position if not outright replace him.
Spoiler (click to show/hide):
"A meaningless effort if we are destroyed by our enemies. If we reduce our military, Rathfor will see our weakness and exploit it," Valter replies, clearly not intending to back down without a fight, "I'm sure I don't have to remind you of their animosity towards us."
"Unsupported assertions! They have never successfully invaded, and now we have not only fortifications but the advantage of widespread iron arms," Aural snaps back.
"We ar-" Valter starts before he is cut off. "ENOUGH! May I remind you gentlemen that you are in front of her Highness, if you wish to engage in such insolence, then I
encourage to you to take it elsewhere," Leona snarls at them as she gives them her signature death glare. After they both recover from receiving such a venomous tone, the two rivals both kneel before you in such perfect union, it's almost as if it was rehearsed... Even their declaration is in union, "My apologizes, you Highness!"

Just FYI, the wooden door is basically a last ditch effort to prevent invaders from reaching the Royal family, as it separates the Royal quarters from the rest of the castle and is reinforced, allowing reinforcements to show up or for the royal family to use the escape route. Hence why it's so heavy.
