The year is 2025, and Earth had finally joined the galactic community, ushering in a veritable golden age for humanity as resources long thought beyond them suddenly became widely available. This new time was one of trade and exchanging of knowledge, a time of seemingly endless prosperity and scientific human achievement.
This... this was the engine of Sarah Ionius's success.
She had started small when she first appeared in the past after being sent from a bleak future when she was just fifteen years old and when friendly alien contact was first established. She worked fast and with purpose. Her knowledge of future technologies brought with her both with her mind and with a compact data disk capable of storing hundreds of yottabytes of technical data. By the time she was sixteen she had created an up and coming defense company based out of a secure twenty acre compound in a rural area along the U.S. eastern seaboard. By seventeen her company delivered quality military and industrial grade products, and her company went public, already selling for hundreds of dollars per unit of stock. By 22, she was a defense giant that had several multi-billion dollars contracts with every NATO nation ranging from advanced combat vehicles to things as mundane as better and lighter winter warfare gear.
She is 23 now, and her small compound was evolved far past its humble origins. The sprawling mega metropolis of Nova Prime, a city that had grown around her mega corporation to th point where it attracted companies of every kind to make a fortune by filling a cities niche needs. It is often referred to as the beacon of progressive thought and achievement, the massive city being a paradise of advanced and green technologies that made it praised the world over. It also housed the largest spaceport in the country, making the city of 30 million people not only a melting pot of human culture, but of alien culture as well.
But of course, no good tings are without its draw backs. With 30 million people crammed together and this time being chock full of super powered individuals or both the hero and villain varieties, crime is always a problem. The scum of humanity are drawn to Nova Prime like a moth to flame, the immense wealth and technological marvels a reward to great to ignore. And of course where ever the crime and super villains are, the heros follow to keep them in check. This caused the city to draw super powered people at an almost alarming rate, as if Nova Prime was a beacon they could not ignore.
All according to plan.
Sarah Ionius smiled knowingly as she gazed out at the mega city before her, lounging on a chair in her penthouse suite situated atop of her company tower. The massive building towered above all the other sky scrapers, overlooking the city in 360 degrees depending which window or balcony she looked from. Her mind buzzed lightly as she sensed the minds of millions, and she felt invigorated as she watched the sun set and the cities colorful lights flick into existence. Her equipment was ready. Her resolve resolute. All the work she had done accumulated to this point where she begin to pursue her true objective. The propagation of supers, so that when or if this timeline plays out like hers, humanity would be ready. More then ready even if she had anything to say about it.
