Cassidy Winters

Species: Felinid (Leopard)
Gender: Female
Personality: Brave, Stubborn, Lustful
Bio: Born on a world on the far fringe of the galaxy, just outside of what was considered Imperial Space, Cassidy and her older sister grew up together under the care of their Aunt, their parents having died in a pirate raid a year after she was born. At some point in her younger years, Cassidy discovered she had abilities that others didn't have, but without any way to really train them didn't do much with it. Until she stumbled upon something in a box of her parents old things. A strange crystal like cube, which activated when she touched it. She learned she was Force Sensitive, and learned the basics of what it was to be a Jedi, though Cassidy didn't really follow the code it talked about all that much. She made a Lightsaber when she was eighteen, a year before her older sister decided to drag her along on a wild adventure beyond their home world.

She and Madeline have been on a few adventures in the Outer Rim. Cassidy's abilities have been invaluable, though she has seen it also brings attention towards her that she isn't that fond of.

Cassidy is not nearly as sociable as her sister. She can be quicker to anger and it takes a bit longer for her to be willing to trust others.

Madeline Winters

Species: Felinid (Snow Leopard)
Gender: Female
Personality: Gregarious, Trusting, Compassionate, Lustful
Bio: Cassidy's older sister by two years, she is a very sociable sort whose always had a way with people. She's also always had a yearning for adventure, growing up on stories from the spacers who visited or retired to the world they called home. She early on worked hard to save up enough money to get a ship of her own, wanting to head off into the stars to make some stories of her own, and hear a bunch more. Once she had enough, she purchased one and dragged her sister along on her adventures.

Long had you and Madeline traveled across the stars since your older sister had bought her ship, a somewhat beat up but fully functional ZH-40 light freighter that your sister had affectionately renamed to Destiny, knowing that her fate and yours had more in store for the both of then just wait a single planet could offer. You had gone all over in the outer rim, the amount of places seemingly endless, limited only by funds and fuel you could scrape together. But the two of you got by, slowly building up credits as you did odd jobs. A lot of commission freight work naturally, but there was the odd more exciting job in there, and sometimes you even got into the core of the Empire! That was pretty exciting at times, seeing huge cities on planets populate by tens of billions, or the sight of massive Imperial fleets in orbit. You can still recall the first time you ever laid eyes on a Executor Super Star Destroyer. Terrifying and daunting, an undeniable symbol of the brutal control of the Empire and the Emperor. But still beautiful in it's own way. A ship was only as evil as it's users after all.

Eventually however Madeline would receive a special order to freight some specific cargo to the Coruscant itself. At first nothing seemed to be amiss, the cargo as far as you were both concerned, mundane, if valuable: rare components for classic no longer produced star racers. The kind of stuff wealthy collectors like to buy to so they could restore and show off their collections of fancy vintage ships at extravagant parties. Everything had gone fine too. You got into the system, went through cargo inspection, your manifest was checked, landed. Everything seemed fine! Madeline had insisted you go explore a little bit and maybe find some food for the both of you outside your current starport while she waited for the buyer to show. You had been gone a little more then an hour, having gotten a little turned around in the extreme metropolis that was Coruscant, but you had gotten back eventually. What you would find though was a swarm of storm troopers around the Destiny, the pad locked down, and your sister no where to be seen. You even spot signs of a fight and some blaster marks... what had happened here?

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Consider the game starting in the in the days following after the end of episode 4, right after the destruction of the first Death Star.

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Think the first sentence is missing something, Cassidy's name or maybe something else? And Gotcha~!

Their travels had taken them far, and Cassidy had been growing more and more excited for the possible adventures that lay in store for them after each one. Sure, she had at first mostly gone along with Madeline because she didn't want her to go off into the depths of space on her own. But she was actually starting to enjoy the more thrilling jobs they sometimes got. And even every now and then one of the light freight jobs would have something exciting happen.

Now though, something that had always been a bit of a fear in the back of her mind seemed to be playing out. Her first thought when she saw the Stormtroopers was to assume that they might have taken her sister prisoner! But there seemed an awful lot of them just for Madeline... could they be here for her? And well, her sister wasn't dumb. Taking on that many Stormtroopers on her own even with the ship's defenses would have been crazy! So then... where was she?

Carefully, and making sure her hands were out where they could see them so they knew she wasn't holding any weapon, she slowly strode over and asked, "E-Excuse me? D-Did something happen here?"

Spoiler (click to show/hide):

Thanks for the point out: fixed!

Seeing you approach the storm troopers don't react much beyond a tilting of their helmets in your direction. When you speak though they turn to face you fully. "This landing bay is under lock down after a criminal shoot out, as such the area is being locked down and the ship impounded." A trooper with black chevron on his helmet says, holding out at arm to halt you.

"Do you know the owner of this ship?", the trooper then asks.

There is nothing in his tone of voice that is hostile, but it's clear that the storm troopers are investigating the situation. You now find yourself in a precarious situation, where you could potentially learn more by being cooperative, despite whatever distaste you might have for the Empire due to your background. At the same time though you couldn't be too honest, but if you could get some access to the area you might be able to get some more answers as to what happened. Otherwise, you could try to get something to withdraw and investigate elsewhere, but the only thing you really know right now was the name of the buyer of you and Madeline's goods: Holly Magnolia.

"Criminal shoot out? And w-wait, the ship is being impounded?" She asks, worry and then panic rising in her voice as she tries to figure out how to proceed. As much as she has tried to steer clear of Stormtroopers (and Imperials in general) she's interacted with some. This one doesn't sound overly hostile, which is better than some she dealt with previously. The worry about her sister becomes the overriding concern however, and these Troopers might be able to at least fill her in on some things.

"My sister owns it. She was here, waiting for the buyer of the star racer parts we were asked to deliver." She figures honesty might help her out most, at least for the moment. Or maybe it was worry that if she wasn't, it could very easily come back to bite her here. "I just went off to stretch my legs, look around... We've never been here before so I wanted to explore." Taking a step or two closer, she clasped her hands as she said,

"Please, if you know anything about what happened to my sister... she means the galaxy to me! S-She looks a bit like me, but ah, with silver grey fur and blonde hair..." She briefly contemplated going with a joke her sister had once made in case they ever got separated. About pointing out that she was bustier than Cassidy. But this didn't quite seem the time or place for that.

When you explain that the ship was your sister's the trooper seems to pause for a second, his helmeted head making him quite unreadable as he simply listens to what you have to say. In the corner of your eye though you see two more storm troopers come around and block the way out behind you. Once again they don't take any hostile action, but given that you now explained you have a connection to the incident here they would likely want to question you and were just making sure you didn't try to make a run for it.

"Your sister? I see. There were two bodies at the sight when we arrived, but neither match that description.", The senior trooper finally says, giving you some small relief for the moment. Before you can reply though a human man in the black uniform of an Imperial officer arrives, likely called over via a radio call that you couldn't hear due to troopers helmet.

"A potential lead? Quite the unique specimen too. Never seen one like you before. Coruscant certainly gets all kinds doesn't it?", The Officer says, giving you a thorough glance up and down. "You told the Sergeant that you sister owns this ship and that it was carrying ship parts for star racers yes? You've also said this is your first time here... this checks out with your computer manifest and the starport logging. Do you know who was buying the goods? Name, what they look like, that sort of thing?", the officer asks as he pulls out a data pad, ready to take your statement.

Cassidy lets out a slightly relieved sigh when he mentions that the bodies they found weren't her sister. She doesn't know what she would have done if her sister had been killed. She's still feeling some anxiety as the troopers move behind her, but well, dealing with Imperials was always anxiety inducing. When the officer comes over, she can't help but blush just a bit under her fur. Something about the way he looked her over gave her the impression his glance had been more than a bit thorough... but maybe she was imagining it.

"I'm not as good with people as my sister is, so she tends to handle that sort of thing. I think I heard her mention the name though..." She says, deciding to play it at least semi-cautious. "A lady named Magnolia? I can't quite remember the first name." She suddenly gets worried as she says, "T-There's not someone bad named that here is there? T-This is our first time this far into the Core, and we're really only familiar with the folks to avoid out on the rim."

That wasn't entirely accurate. They'd both done at least a little bit of looking up before they came here. But well, big galaxy, even bigger planet with what, billions, possibly trillions of folks living here? Bound to be plenty that got through the cracks.

"I see...", The officer says as he keeps taking his notes. "Magnolia... doesn't ring any bells, but there are over two trillion people on this planet, and probably ten times as many droids. We'll run it through and see what comes up... hopefully less then ten thousand hits if we're lucky. Is there anything else you might know? What they might look like? Were they the buyer or just a liaison for the buyer? I gather this a bit of a shock, so if you'd like you can come into the port station for a bit of coffee if you need some time to think.", he says, giving you an offer. He fishes out a small cards and hands it you, on it is contact info and address. Lieutenant Heath Crossler is his name apparently. Inspector for starport 2A-9774.

Your not sure how much you like the idea of that, but once again the Imperial officer seems to be the poster child of professionalism. It seemed like if you weren't actively committing crimes or had something the Galactic Empire wanted you could actually kind of work with them. Still... never hurt to be cautious.

"Now... you must be... Cassidy yes? That is the only other name registered to the ship. Unfortunately the ship will be impounded for three days while we conduct a examination of the sight. We like to keep things as to try reconstruct events and see what wrong with security so we can patch the hole if we realistically can. After that time though the ship will be released barring nothing is found that warrants permanent seizure. Hopefully we can find your sister before then and discover what is doing on. If there is nothing else then I must ask you to leave the premises while we investigate, but as I said feel free to come to the station if you recall anything."

"I don't know if they were a buyer, or just a middleman." Cassidy said, and that was one hundred percent the truth. Madeline had shared the name but nothing more really. She could always try to check the ship, and a part of her wanted to check it anyways to see if anything had vanished. Did they still have the parts in question even, or were those and anything else of value aboard it gone?

"Would I be able to go aboard and see if anything was taken? Any of you are free to come along if you like while I check. I don't know if the deal was made and something went wrong, or if someone else came here and wanted to take the parts." Though well, if they'd been here for a bit, maybe they already looked? "Have any of you already checked inside the ship?"

She wasn't sure about going to the station, though well, she did take the card in question. "Wouldn't happen to know of someplace nearby I could rent a room for the next few days? Since well, won't be able to sleep on the ship."

"As of this time I'm afraid I can't allow that. We're still doing the initial investigations of the scene.", the officer says as you ask to check the ship. "However, once we've done everything to document the scene we can allow you to board under supervision. It will take us approximately 6 hours to do this, so you can return later.", The officer says. You suppose you could try to convince him, but then again six hours wasn't too bad of a wait. It was only around noon currently on the planet.

When you ask about somewhere to stay though the officer just shrugs. "Well, I live here so can't say I know the local hotel scene that well, but we are next to one of the busiest star ports on the imperial capitol. I'm sure you can take a short walk like you did before and find countless options for all manners of price ranges."

Well... that wasn't the most helpful. While the officer wasn't hostile by any means at the moment, he certainly still had that slight air of Imperial snootiness to him a lot of them seemed to have. Granted though on your short walk you did earlier you did see several hotels you'd be able to use. Given the location you were definitely spoiled for choices.

Well, at least that wasn't too long of a wait. She nods and says she'll seek to be back within six hours so she could check the ship under their watch. Hopefully if anything had been taken, well, besides potentially her sister (assuming she hadn't run off, but then, surely she would have tried to contact her by now?), it would just turn out to be the parts they'd been bringing here. She couldn't really think of anything else they'd have that'd have been worth taking.

"Thank you." She finishes, before deciding she would take another stroll... though, if she saw any of the other starport workers or any sort of protocol droid attached to the starport, she might try to ask if any of them knew anything about what had happened. If she wasn't able to glean anything useful though, she'd go ahead and set about trying to find a decently priced place to stay for the next few days. All while hoping they would actually get the ship back.

Luck roll: 6

You try to go about asking any of the nearby civilian workers and droids if they might've seen anything, but sadly don't really gain anything. It would seem that all the droids that were at the bay at the time have probably been seized by the Empire, and none of the dock workers that you can find seem to have been anywhere around. An unfortunate and slightly frustrating dead end.

Deciding to secure yourself some lodgings you find yourself spoiled for choices in the nearby area. There are more then a dozen within a 10 minute commute, but not wanting to go to far you try to keep things as close as you can within walking distance. The first you find is some kind of higher echelon sort of 4-5 star hotel directly attached to the star port. It has fantastic rooms and facilities, but is naturally pricey. With only your personal funds you only have enough credits to stay there for a couple weeks though. The next is a moderate 7 minute walk away and a solid middle of the road choice. The rooms are nice, clean, and secure but also average and affordable. The third choice is another hotel attached to the starport, but is more meant for temporary dock workers. It's cheap, and probably a little dangerous, but it does have a cantina like bar attached to it, and seemed like a natural place for criminals and smugglers to do business. It might be a good place to look for clues.

Cassidy was disappointed to find that no one had any information she could make use of. Not even anything that was like, a scrap of information. Sighing, she shook her head before deciding on one of the middle of the road places. She wanted to keep as much of her funds as she could in case she needed them. As much as she didn't expect to be here for too long (hopefully) it was best to be more prudent.

Grumbling to herself, as soon as she was settled in, she decided she'd go ahead and see if she could find anything out on the holonet about their contact. That was the only place she could think of to start looking.

As you go for the middle range hotel you manage to book a room for a week with an ability to extend your stay if needed. Somewhat amusingly however when you were in the process of booking your room the clerk behind a desk, a rather handsome tall human man, seems to be quite flummoxed by you. Clearly he had never seen anything like your species in person before, and throughout the process of booking your room he gets a little air headed and flustered, spacing out every here and there as he just stares at your curvy cattish form. Despite that though he gets you squared away quickly enough and soon you're in your room. As you set up to try looking around on the holonet though you figure that while he probably didn't know anything about what happened to your sister he might be a good person to go and talk about the local area with.

Getting on the holonet you try to search up Holly Magnolia, but you don't get much hits. All you really manage to find are a half dozen various social media accounts, and a lot of these people are scattered across the planet. You try to tighten up your search a bit by focusing on your local area, but not all the accounts have locations set on them. You do your best to try and not get frustrated, but after a while it seems like your only going in circles. The more you think about it too, it makes sense that Holly Magnolia might be a cover name. Of course that didn't mean the name itself wasn't useful... just that it would make sense that whoever was using it might have a low holonet profile, Especially if they, or perhaps someone they were in competition with was willing to attach you and your sister's ship to presumably get the goods.

At this point however you still at least had three general options. You could try going to the dive bar attached to that seedier hotel and asking around there, which was likely the most promising but the most dangerous. The second was to ask the desk clerk downstairs about the local area, as no doubt there was more then one place smugglers liked to meet up around star ports. Not all of them liked dangerous dive bars after all. The third was to maybe just take a nap or explore a little while you waited to be able to check you and your sister's ship.

The receptionist at the hotel made Cassidy blush a fair bit. If Madeline had been here, she'd have been flirting up a storm with the guy... and probably making him even more flustered than he already was. Still, the fact she was getting such an affect from him made her own cheeks warm and a slight tingle between her legs, though she did her best to ignore it. The guy was nice enough though, maybe he could provide some useful info later... Which, after her attempt to search things out on the holonet doesn't go all that well, she might need to do. Though, would a receptionist at hotel know anything about someone who dealt in rare speeder parts?

After a moments consideration, she decided she'd try the dive bar. If nothing else, even if they didn't know of their contact, she might overhear something that could point her in the right direction. And well, if trouble sprung up, she had her lightsaber... though it'd probably be better if she stuck to her blaster instead here.

Well, luckily even on the capitol being armed was a norm. Or at least it seemed to be near star ports. You decide to check out the dive bar, figuring it had the best chances. As you head out though you briefly make eye contact with the handsome man at the counter again, and instantly his eyes seem to widen a little as he blushes too. He gives you a pleasant if slightly awkward smile, and then wishes you a good day as you leave.

Heading to dive bar attached to the under levels of the star port it doesn't take you long to get there, but it is a bit jarring as one lift ride later the bright never ending horizon of tall buildings suddenly becomes an even more compact labyrinth of maintenance causeways, shafts, and access ways where between it all is a woven community of those usually just poor or just wishing to be a little more discreet and unseen. Down here you spot an even more interesting mix of species, but like much of Coruscant it's still mostly human... if barely.

You manage to get the seedy hotel and cross the... lounge if it could even be called that, to enter the bar area. It's pretty large actually, featuring a central bar with several bar tenders, and even a couple side bars. There are dozens of booths, and probably twice as many tables, of which half of them all were probably occupied. There was probably nearly a hundred people in here already, and yet it still looked a little empty. As the smell of various smoken substances tickles your nostrils though you barely get two seconds to glance at the place for a sudden firm smack on your ass nearly makes you jump out of your fur! A moment later a tall muscled trandoshan in dock worker overalls walks past, the reptilian alien grinning at you before simply walking past and toward the main bar. Normally you would've spotted such a thing before he could touch you but... well it was loud in here and you were a little stressed at the moment.

The clerk was... well, a bit cute, and his being so entranced by her was adorable. She blushed a bit and gave a more sincere smile and a wave before she left. Then she shifts into business mode once she steps out of the lift on the lower level. The mood here is as stark as the difference in light and the openess of the surface portion of the city. More aliens are present here, but that wasn't surprising. She keeps herself alert, and moves through the crowds as quickly as she can. This isn't the sort of place she wanted to linger in any longer than needed.

Reaching the bar, Cassidy is a bit overwhelmed by all the noise and the smell. The dim lighting isn't any trouble, but her nose wrinkles about a bit at first at the combination of various drugs or drinks that flit through the air. She yelps and her cheeks turn scarlet enough to be visible through her fur, though she scowls at the Trandoshan who smacked her ass... rubbing at it and trying to ignore the tingle from it. Madeline would have just laughed and smirked at such, unless she was in a bad mood. After a moment, Cassidy decided to try and pick a table near the bar but not close to that guy in particular, doing her best to adjust to the din of noise and pick up anything of interest.

Roll: 16

Doing your best to get past the sudden smacking of your butt you head inside and pick a table near the bar, sitting down and doing your best to sort of tune out the white noise and try to simple focus on conversations, sorting out individual voices and doing your best to hone into one. Thankfully you manage to catch something interesting relatively quickly, and in the corner of your eye soon spot a table where two humans, a halaisi, a keredian, and a nazzar: all males.

"I heard there was a shoot out at one of landing pads today. Right at the end of my shift. What do you think that's all about?", The nazzar starts as he scratches at one of his ears.

"Ah who knows? Still, pretty brazen thing to do, even on the lower pads.", one of the humans says.

"Well, actually I started working in clearance not that long ago. I actually issued that ships pad right before shift change. I think they were hauling rare parts for old collectible ships. Definitely seems like something black marketers would want to me.", The halaisi says before taking a long swig of his drink. "If I had to hazard a guess, I bet the Ortegras tried to muscle in on the buy and take the goods by force but ended up getting in a tussle with another group. Maybe buyer security, maybe another gang, who knows?"

"I wouldn't be mentioning the Ortegras too loudly. They might still be a gang, but they are all over the under levels here. Probably some in this room... good thing the music is loud enough.", the Keredian then says.

From there it seems to the conversation takes a more casual turn, but it was some few nuggets of info you could work with. Maybe once you could get back to your ship you might be able to ask that Imperial officer if they had discovered anything about those bodies you saw near your ship?

Before you can think too much further though your attention is taken by a sweet female voice and you find yourself taking to a scantily clad Twi'lek girl, the blue skinned woman a definite busty beauty and highly sought after for jobs such as these. "Hey sugar! Can I get you a drink? Maybe a menu?", she asks.

Catching a conversation from a nearby table, Cassidy was able to push away the memory of that smack which allowed the tingle from it to fade away unnoticed. She pays special attention when the halaisi starts speaking, especially since it sounds like he knows what they were carrying. That sounds suspicious to her. Not many should know that. Her ears twitch at the mention of this group, Ortegras? She's not familiar with that gang name. Sadly, nothing else of use comes up, and she finds herself mulling what to do. Then she squeaks, having zoned out a bit before the waitress arrived and-

Damn, she was barely wearing anything. That made Cassidy blush a bit. "I~I uh, yes, a drink... whatever you'd recommend. And a menu too would be appreciated."

Flustered by the sudden presence of the Twi'lek girl, your quickly just say the first thing that comes to mind, which earns a short giggle from the blue skinned waitress. "Whatever I recommend? Well, I'll be nice and not get you the most expensive thing on the menu, but I'll get you something nice for a cute girl like you don't you worry~", she says, reaching to boop you on the nose. She gives you a flirty little smirk then hands you a menu to peruse, standing back up from her slightly leaned position which makes you notice her top isn't even really a proper top too, and was just in fact fishnets! Her tits basically on full display, you try not to stare at her prominent dark blue nipples. Sexy as she was though this was hardly your first time being in a situation like this... but it was the first time by yourself you suppose.

With her getting your drink you take a moment to peruse the holonet again, trying to find mention of the Ortegras. Luckily that one turns out to be a little easier, as they are a prominent crime family in this local area of Coruscant. As far as you can tell they seemed to clash with their rival syndicates and mostly dealt with the under areas like here, unable to go toe to toe with a force like the Empire, but seemed to be involved in a little bit of everything. It also seemed plausible that they were in the employ of a hutt named Tarso, who was a business magnate around here, but all discussion about that is purely speculative with no firm connection. Looking into Tarso a little next, apparently he was the one owned a lot of the civilian star ports in this sub sector of the planet.

barely do you begin that search though does the Twi'lek waitress return with a glass full of an orange liquid covered with a lair of foam on top. She gets your attention with a sudden hand on your shoulder as she places the drink down. "Enjoy hun~", she says, then brushes her hand across your shoulder to your neck and then gently cups your chin. She gives you a wink, shakes her tits briefly at you, and then she walks off to serve other customers. Clearly she was a skilled tease fishing for tips!

Cassidy flushes even more at the boop to the nose, ears flattening in cute embarrassment as her tail twitches this way and that. It takes some effort to draw her eyes away from the girl once she realizes she seems to be practically just wearing fishnets, and reminds her that she's a bit out of her depth here. Between the two of them, Madeline was always more the people person interacting with all kinds. Cassidy was better for handling some of the other things, fights especially thanks to her gifts and her lightsaber.

Once the girl leaves, she does some more searching with her datapad, and at least finds some more useful information. This might be a good lead to follow. She could try to perhaps go speak with this Tarso fella. She knew Hutts had a bad reputation, but so far at leas the ones they'd dealt with had been fair. Egotistical as hell and not giving the best of deals when it came to jobs, but they'd not stiffed them of a reward for a job well done. Still, best to be careful.

Cassidy then jumps a little in her seat but is then once again left blushing and stammers out a "Y~Yes, I~I will, t~thank you very much M~Miss." To the waitress, finding it hard not to feel a bit aroused and more flustered than she was already. She really wasn't used to this kind of attention! Her eyes had trouble leaving the gal as she moved to take a sip of the drink just brought to her... o-oh, she should order something to eat shouldn't she? She'd ah, wait til the waitress came back by... though that could be a bit. But maybe she could just nurse her drink and watch the pretty twi'lek waitress while she waited...
