Eyes were on you, the same as always, as you scanned the bar while sipping back the cold drink that past for alcoholic around humans. However the people here were content to let you go about your business, no doubt having come here well aware that an Orc was staying here. Its hard to tell whether or not your presence meant more or less people had decided to come to the tavern for lunch today. No doubt you drew the crowd interested in seeing you for themselves, while sent those more hostile to your presence away for the time being. There were a few faces that caught your eye. The third maid certainly seemed worth getting to know at some point, and the cook, while on the older side when compared to the other women, had an appealing shapeliness to her and perhaps a tad more experience than the women you've had so far.
However, before you could make your mind up on who specifically to talk to next, the door to the front of the tavern swung open, and for the first time since you've been in town you were no longer the source of most the attention. The woman who entered had a certain... otherworldly grace to herself. Her skin seemed to glow with a vibrant youth, though her eyes carried a wisdom unseen among humans. Even before you noticed her ears it was obvious to you what she was. An elf.
All the men in nearest to her were gawking in much a similar fashion that the tables of women had ogled yourself earlier. Even a fair few of the women seemed to have a similar reaction to the elf maiden's presence before readjusting themselves. She observed, calmly, her surroundings, before taking slow, gliding steps along the tavern, her silky white dress flowing behind her. No straps hung her clothes to her body, it merely seemed to cling to her form because she willed it.
She smiled warmly at everyone who caught her eye, before settling in a stool near your own.
"May I have a... water... if that would be alright? I have coin to pay with, but I'm not certain how much is needed." she said, pouring a pile of gold coins out onto the bar top, leaving Elissa's jaw slack in stunned silence.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Is this not enough?" the elven women asks, her eyes wide with unrestrained innocence.
Elissa gulped. "Oh, no, that's. Far too much actually. Would you like a room with your drink as well? Perhaps a meal? We can get you plenty more to drink than just water."
The elf breaths a sigh of relief. "Oh, that would be lovely, yes I would like..." she pauses and taps her chin in contemplation. "I'm not terribly familiar with human food and drink." she turns to you with a polite smile. "I hate to interrupt your drink, but as you seem to be another traveller yourself, might you have any recommendations for me?"
