The woman grunted turning away from him not answering at first. "Village gone." she said finally in her strange dialect not looking at him. The wilds were harsh these kind of minor tribes rose and fell almost on whim. His own had become something greater, a real force that influenced the lands north of here. He remembered they often raided some of the smaller villages for sport but never wiped them out completely. If something was destroying villages either his old clan had changed greatly under its new ruler or there was something else new to the region.

Ragnos' face contorted from a scowl to a grimace. So she was out on her own, then. At least it saved him the trouble of dealing with her kinsmen, provided she was telling the truth. The urge to inquire what exactly had done so struck him, but he doubted bringing up the demise of her friends and family would make her any more sociable towards him. He was a fool for not striking this woman down here and now, but being exiled to the cold wastes of the north must have been making him sentimental. He could relate to her situation, even if the circumstances were far different. "Mine too." The barbarian finally spoke. He grabbed his hid pants, yanking them up over his exposed manhood and securing them with the thick belt he kept around his waist. The battle scarred warrior reached to the pouch on the floor, collecting the berries and the furs he had pulled off the woman. He tossed them to her, grunting slightly.

"You can leave, or stay here for the night." He narrowed his eyes. "But do not take my kindness as weakness. If you try anything, I won't hesitate to end you." With that, he dropped down onto the cavern floor, using a stray branch to poke the cinders of his fire, trying to get some life out of the fading flame.

The woman glanced down at her things and pulled the pelts back on hiding her body behind the furs. She moved a little closer to the fire but didn't leave his cave. Over time Ragnos finally dropped his guard and in the morning the sun beamed in through the cave entrance. The woman was already awake but didn't dare move. Sometime in the night he had grabbed her and pulled her against his body. She looked down at the arm wrapped under her breasts and frowned back at him.

Ragnos grumbled as he pulled himself from his slumber. The pleasant warmth of the body next to him was something he didn't truly want to give up, but it was about time to let this woman go. He highly doubted she'd go along with him on his journey, even if the safety it provided them both and the company she could give him was tempting. He gave the heavy breast closest to his hand a quick squeeze before her pulled his muscular limb off of the savage woman. The barbarian made haste getting up off the fur and going about packing camp. He didn't truly know where he was going, but lazing around in a cave all day wouldn't provide him with anything but wasted time. Perhaps moving south until he found civilization was a good idea. Maybe he'd run into one of the savage tribes of these forests. Whatever it was, it required him leaving. The warrior picked his massive broadsword up off the floor of the cave, sliding the thick leather scrap around his chest and tightening it so it held firm. The added weight felt good; natural even. He felt more complete with his steel only a quick grip away.

He turned his gaze towards the scantily clad red head for a moment, thinking on what to do exactly. "You're free to leave." He eventually said. Snatching the boar's pelt from his kill the night before from its drying place off the fire, he spoke once more. "If you wish to stay, I'm not against it. Better odds together."

The woman glanced at him then to the cave entrance and sprinted away into the nearby trees. Yet again on his own Ragnos left the cave and began wandering. He went south following a cliffside with a river that passed down the long valley beneath it. Eventually he came across what looked like a town built into the cliffs ahead, wooden structures spanned up the entire cliffside and what looked like a primitive lift went all the way from top to bottom. It would be impressive if most of it wasn't on fire. Up ahead he could see three orcs holding down a female with similar markings to the woman he had claimed earlier. The orcs were rutting into her as they pleased and she was already covered in a considerable amount of their seed. They pulled out giving her one last cumshower before the leader drew his hatchet and grinned down at her, she stumbled backwards in panic and ran into Rangos's legs. She stared up at him surprised as were the orcs. They changed their plans from murdering her into attacking him as they all drew weapons charging.

So, this was the force wiping out villages? A bunch of filthy orcs? One would think these villages, with their tools advanced enough to build complicated lifts, would be able to fight off a bunch of stupid orcs. But maybe they were overwhelmed by the green skinned raider's pure numbers. The barbarian happily took the challenge these three presented. He stepped in front of the cum covered open, unsheathing his massive blade as he did. The huge hunk of steel smashed violently into the ground, leaving a hole in the soil as its weight came down. The barbarian let loose a horrifying battlecry as he met their charge. His thick arms swung the blade forward, aiming to strike down what he assumed was their leader first with a furious decapitation.

The orcs were indeed nothing more than brutes. As Ragnos's blade cut through both the hatchet and the orc leaders head the other two continued forward despite his death. The first swing of his massive blade continued dismembering another orc, the third brought his hatchet down and grazed the barbarians bicep but didn't manage a serious wound. With another slash the final one was down... unfortunately there were many more. The wounded orc let out a battle shout and more began flooding the streets coming from further in the village along with something much bigger than any of them. A large gray skinned troll clad in fullplate custom fit for his gawky body barked orders at the orcs. "Surround him and attack as one, he cant kill all of you wretches at once." He had a huge axe to match his massive body and it was still dripping from the blood of some poor villager he had caught.

Ragnos looked towards the village as orcs spilled out. More lambs to the slaughter. Fearless as he ever was, the barbarian had no intentions of retreating from this battle. He was ashamed enough at his escape from his own tribe. The pain of that wound had yet to seal and he would not stand to take another by running from these foul smelling orcs. Even when the massive troll leading them stepped up with his bloodied axe did he faulter. So they wished to surround him? No matter. He would cut a path out of them, mow down swathes of these poorly trained peons. Then he would take the head of this disgusting troll as his trophy. Hefting his heavy blade in the direction of the troll, he roared towards the being. "Do your worst!" With that, he charged towards the troll, intent of slicing his way through any of the orcs who would oppose him until he reached their leader. At the very least, killing him first would leave the others without any tactical advice. The thick plate armor it wore was a very sure problem, but he was convinced that the weight of his sword and the strength of his swings directed at one of the joints in the suit could easily slice through. He merely needed to avoid its followers and its own weapon.

The orcs were easy prey and Ragnos carved a path through their numbers approaching the troll. One or two inflicted minor wounds but it was nothing that would cripple him. The troll laughed as he charged forward and didn't even try to evade Ragnos's blow. The heavy plate armor bent and even parted from the blade drawing a large gush of blood from the trolls side. It grunted and kicked the barbarian in the chest making him stagger back thankfully he pulled the sword with him. As he watched the trolls side began to stitch itself back together with the heavy plates protecting it from any instantly lethal blows and its regenerative powers mending any wounds he could inflict it seemed he would need a new way to deal with this thing. The orcs were now closing in on Ragnos and his attention was split between them and the troll.

The great axe the troll wielded slammed into the dirt next to him and two more orcs stabbed at Ragnos's back but he was still in the middle of his adrenaline rush. They were easily slain afterward, his sword came down on the trolls axe hand and he managed to sever it but the troll only grinned watching the stump writhe. He shoved Ragnos hard enough to make the large human leave the ground and land in a pile of dead orcs. The troll stuck the stump of its wrist to the hand still clutching the axe and it mended itself as good as new. "Ha! I like you human, its been a long time since anyone landed that kind of blow. But we need to be moving on, the iron lords are waiting." He drug the axe slowly towards Ragnos as he was still recovering, apparently the two stabs to his back had done more damage than he thought. He got back to his feet just in time to see a flash of red appear above the trolls shoulder. The woman from last night had apparently scaled the back of his armor and with a quick slash she parted the trolls neck guard and shoulder pad with a knife. It yelled in anger grabbing her off his back and throwing her hard into a nearby wall where she crumpled into the ground and lied motionless. With the trolls neck now exposed Ragnos might have a chance but it was still a difficult target considering how much taller the monster was.

Ragnos growled. This foul troll... how was it regenerating like that?! It took until the beast regrew its hand to click with him; its axe. It must have been imbued by some kind of foul magic to allow him to regenerate his wounds. Cowardly fool! Clutching his broadsword tightly, Ragnos tried his best to channel the agony of his wounds into the strength to fight. He would use his rage as a weapon against this oversized bag of pus. He would not allow himself to fall to this creature! His eyes drifted up to the red flash, ever so slightly impressed by the woman's agility. Her efforts seemed in vain, as the barbarian watched her crumple on the ground like a sheet of paper against the troll's strength. But maybe not... his eagle like eyes found their way to the exposed neck of this monster. Perhaps he would yet take this creature's head! He stepped back as quickly as possible, gaining a decent amount of distance between himself and the troll.

Summoning up as much momentum as he could, the barbarian charged at him, stepping up the pile of orcs he had prievously been thrown into to try and gain some height before he twisted, throwing his momentum forward and spinning with his sword, allowing the weight of the heavy steel and the speed of his sprint carry him towards the troll. His rotation continued, his blade aiming to cleave through the troll's exposed throat using the weight of Ragnos' spin to pass through its tough flesh.

Ragnos charged forward and the tip of his blade sliced open the trolls throat. The large creature staggered backward grabbing its neck, seeing the opportunity Ragnos continued the attack and began to slowly hack apart its neck faster than the beast could regenerate. Its head final severed sailing a few feet into the air before landing on top of an orc. The remaining savages dispersed as their leader was slain. Most retreated but a few stood their ground only to be cut down shortly afterward. The remnants of the village were fleeing as well... even if the army was defeated they had abandoned their home and had nothing to offer the barbarian. His wounds began to flare with pain as he came down from his combat high. He reached over to his back and found the wounds were coated in a dark purple substance similar to the berries he had found the woman carrying. No wonder such small blows had staggered him, with the poison running through his veins it was unclear whether he would live or die in the next few minutes but he certainly felt his body weaken and his vision begin to blur.

Ragnos growled. There was no end to the cowardice of this orcs. Using magics and poison to bolster their strength. The inhabitants of this village were no better. Running away from their village, even after he had singlehandedly defeated their oppressors? Now he lay here, forced to endure the agony of some substance, no assistance from the beings he had just liberated from death at the hands of these pigs. He truly was alone in this world. No clan at his back, no allies to call his own. Grumbling under his breath, the barbarian clutched his sword and used it as a make shift crutch, making sure to balance his weight on it so he would not fall. He needed to find a place to ride out the poison at the very least. He was certain the remaining orcs would not return, not until they scurried back to their superiors and begged for reinforcements. Long enough for him to either perish or survive the affliction and carry on with his day. He eyed the red haired female whom had come to his rescue. Perhaps out of thankfulness or pity, he dragged himself to her limp form and looped his powerful arm around his torso, pulling her up in his grip as he made his way to the sturdiest and least ignited set of ruins he could find, at least taking shelter for the day.

The woman was limp in his grip, he could feel her breathing but it was uneven and shallow. Ragnos finds the only building untouched by the orcs, some kind of small temple housing a shrine with a wolfs head upon the alter. Various hunting trophies adorn the walls but the wolf head seems to be the central focus. He can see runes and symbols similar to the tattoos on the woman's body. Ragnos feels his mind slip away for a moment and finds himself sitting in the middle of a forest. The woods around him seen infinite and twisted with thick undergrowth that make travel near impossible. Ragnos hears a voice from somewhere he cannot see. "Such an unfitting end for a warrior... to be bested by simple orcs and to only live because of that fragile creature that lies beside you, nearly dead. But I do not think this has to be the end... not for you at least. You've come to my peoples aid whether that was your intention or not and I feel as though you have earned a second chance... if you are willing to serve me once more..."

Ragnos growled, his eyes shifting across the suddenly changed landscape. He assumed he was hallucinating due to the poison coursing through his veins. Foolish orcs. As much as he wished to ignore the voice and force himself to return to reality, he humored the sounds bombarding his psyche. "Bested? I will not be bested here. Not by orcs, not by that troll and not by this poison." The barbarian grumbled in response to the disembodied voice. Some benevolent being come to claim his soul as it's people's protector? The warrior chuckled slightly. "I once served a man. It did not turn out well. My days of servitude to a higher power are over. If you are to give me a second chance, then do it, but I will not be your slave because of it." His iron will would not cave here, not to some toxin induced trip.

The voice laughed lightly as if amused by his suggestion. "A slave? Never, but a champion is needed in these dark times, the dark things in the earth stir and someone must oppose them. Serve me and what you are owed will be restored one day. Either way you will walk and live to fight another day. The girl with you however will not be there to accompany you. Her place is with me now ... but she can be spared if your willing to take a risk. The only way her body will recover is if I bind her soul to a feral spirit. With its added strength she might be saved but you might find her much harder to control. She's to far gone to make any choices for herself so you must decide what is to be done with her..."

With a growl, Ragnos peered up into the sky of this strange realm. Becoming someone's champion wasn't what he intended, but perhaps it was worth considering. His only other option was to die at this point anyway. Besides... he felt a vague sense of loyalty to the red haired woman. She did help him defeat the troll... "Fine. Revive me, I will be your champion. Bring the woman back as well. If I'm to save your people, I'll likely need one of them with me." He awaited this being's response, contemplating the reality of the situation.

"As you wish Ragnos..." Something about the way it said his name made him shiver, it had been a long time since facing true fear and he felt it brush against him as he realized this thing now had some degree of power over him after that agreement. He didn't have long to think about the encounter, as he woke up he found it was night, only the full moon illuminated the half burned wreck of a building he was currently resting in. The wolfs head on the altar in front of him seemed to grin in the dim light. The woman was in his arms but was turning in her sleep restlessly. Her body seemed fully healed already even after the life threatening injuries she had sustained earlier. Whats more he saw her canines begin to elongate into long fangs. Her eyes snapped open and he saw wolves eyes staring up at him. She growled and grabbed his shoulder tearing at his flesh with a new set of claws that had grown in at the tips of her fingers. Her grip was ten times stronger than it had been, enough to challenge his own strength and with that feral look in her eyes she had no idea what she intended to do with him, maybe have some revenge after last night.

Ragnos shook his head as reality returned. Fucking spirits. He never trusted the tales of them, nor did he trust what just occured. But he had more pressing concerns, namely the red head whom was now leering at him and clawing at his arms. A feral spirit then? No matter. If she was to act like even more of an animal, then he would put her in her place. He was the alpha here, not her. "You'll do well to release me. I saved your life, but I won't hesitate to take it back." He growled, locking eyes with the now apparent wolf woman.

The woman growled again and shoved her weight forward pushing Ragnos onto his back from the surprise rush. He felt her straddle him and grind her body against his length, her animal eyes looked down at him hungrily as her claws dug into his shoulder. Apart from the long canines, claws and those strange eyes her body was more or less the same, in fact her breasts might even be larger if that were possible and pressed against his chest. The wolf head on the alter seemed to smile down at him as he struggled with the native woman.

Ragnos grunted ever so slightly as the woman pushed him back, feeling her sex grinding against him. So... the feral spirits tapped into that side of her, did they? He slowly reached and placed his hands on the woman's hips, simply resting them there as she hung those gorgeous melons over his chest. His mammoth of a member began to grow hard, pressing against the red head's thigh through his pants. He watched her closely, his eyes focusing specifically on those delicious titties of hers.
