She suspected it would be easy enough to convince Brand to come along on her heist but she wasn't sure of what kind of experience he really had.

Candy and Brand met up in the dock district later that night after she had gone to speak with Thomas, the artist hadn't been very happy but he had at least calmed down enough to understand her reasons. "Its that one" Brand pointed out, the warehouse he had picked was one of the smaller ones with a jetty extending out into the water. She could already see two cloaked figures patrolling outside. She saw the glint of concealed armor near the collar of their shirts and they weren't wearing any masks under the hoods which meant they weren't Lanatarian if they didn't know about the harmful air. The warehouses main door was closed but there was a small side passage that they could use or the jetty door if she wanted to take a swim first.

Looking at the setup, the first thing she thought was that she was surprised they didn't seem to be wearing mask's. She wondered if she'd need to even worry about those guards, since the polluted air should be more than enough to deal with them in a little bit. It did occur to her that perhaps they had something else enabling them to tolerate the air, perhaps some sort of medicine or magic. The former meant nothing to her, but the latter would be a problem.

"We'll go for the side entrance. Walk slowly, stay behind me, and keep to the shadows." She said, slowly slipping into the shadows and making her way towards the side entrance. She kept an eye on the kid, and kept herself aware of her surroundings. She had a feeling those weren't the only two guards walking about

For the moment the guards patrols were both out of sight around the corner of the warehouse. Across the alley from them was the side entrance.

Candy said nothing to Brand as she waited for the guards to move out of sight. She could reprimand him later, thought she didn't intend to be too harsh about it. She was hoping the door was unlocked, as while she was sure she could unlock it, that could take time.

Candy found the door was locked, Brand stood by the frame looking down the alley for any signs of one of the mercenaries returning. Candy had the tools to pick the lock if she wished but she risked being discovered. The lock didn't look terribly complex, and the frame around the door actually provided a small amount of concealment for a single person, if she wanted to remain hidden she'd have to practically flatten herself against Brand.
