"Not... exactly. It's all still pretty new, so a formal curriculum doesn't exist. It's more... old school apprentice kind of thing, where you get an establish mage to take you under their wing... If you even have half the potential as a regular elf, I'm sure you'll have plenty of volunteers to teach you," She explains. At this point the inner gate looms large, no longer far away. This one is not empty though, the entrance flanked by several small and obviously very cheap buildings, seemingly little more then paneling nailed to poles planted in the ground. "Welcome to the forward camp. The captain should be here." She leads you to the largest of these cheap buildings, with the entrance guarded by a single person. And after a brief exchange which is little more then your guide telling the guard she's taking you to the captain, and the guard doing a quick look over, you are permitted to enter. Inside is a buzz, as nearly a dozen people crowd around a map, shouting back and forth in military jargon, occasionally interrupted by a few more people sitting off to the side with heavy duty laptops.
You are lead promptly through the mess to a small office, where a man is arguing with someone on the phone. You get a chance to look him over as he finishes his call. He looks to be either later thirties or early forties, but is aging well. Clearly fit, and been through several scraps with multiple scars to prove it, he does fit the look of a veteran, which makes you know under his cap he has the standard buzzcut. Behind him, sitting on a display stand in a prime position of honor, rests an assault rifle, that is almost as scarred as him. The click of the phone hanging up, snaps your attention to him, as he looks you over, "And you are?"
"Sir, she showed up at gate W2. From roughly the same direction as the dragon sighting... Claims to be some sort of human mutated into an elf, if that means anything to you sir..."
His eyebrow raises as your guide's description, before saying, "Thank you Private Gardner, you are dismissed." She snaps to attention, with another sir, before turn 180 and walks straight out, as the Captain muses, "Human mutated into an elf, you say?'
Random person in the comments section of a random hentai manga- "Now I am ashamed of myself."
Me- "Posh, shame is for fools and people with friends... we need no such things, we have the internet."
