The world of Media is full of strife. The three kingdoms Arabet, Gaelion, and Schwester, war against one another constantly and the fires that fuel the great war machines bring only suffering to the people of each nation. The citizens live in fear of war that constantly threatens the lands though the kings of each nation refuse to acknowledge the cries of the plebs seeking peace. The massive armies of each nation march on their steel boots and crush farms beneath the hulking metal beasts their Dragon Riders pilot. Bandits and thieves stalk the land preying on anyone foolish enough to wander from the walled cities and towns without a large enough escort. The lone group of battle ready freedom fighters named Rosenschild has been declared a terrorist organization in each of the three nations and large bounties were placed upon all of their members.
Through all this misfortune mages weave their magic using their own blood as catalysts to their grand powers. Their power only matched by the military's ear shattering cannons and deadly thunder staffs. It was not a kind era to grow up in.
During an autumn morning you find yourself in the captain's cabin of your salvaged Arabet airship. It was fairly chilly proving that the engineers still had yet to fix the heating systems for each of the cabins. A fact that was keeping the airship from reaching its top altitudes. Moving out to the deck you find your fair sized crew bustling about making sure the ship remains stable and on course. Above your position your helmsman, Henry, works the wheel, keeping the giant vessel on track and monitoring its progress through the skies above Gaelion. You had to keep the vessel moving nearly at all times to avoid the military might of the three nations but you had managed to escape their grasp so far. The beaten up old bird you called a ship was a stubborn one at that. With the wind blowing through your hair you feel nearly unstoppable with your twin swords at your hips. The three kingdoms were just waiting for you to step in an relieve their nobles of their wealth.
