Welcome to Beacon (eaenidu)

Postby The Blitz » Thu Nov 13, 2014 8:15 am

The roaring engines of the airship do well to fill the nervous silence within the cabin you're currently standing in. Today is the beginning of your life at Beacon Academy. Years of training, hard work and discipline at your combat school have brought you here, the place where the finest hunters are made. According to the kind pilot prior to leaving, the trip would roughly be an hour long and while you're not entirely how much time has passed, you get the feeling you'll be on the flying hunk of metal for a while longer. Luckily, you're not alone. In the cabin with you are four other students, one boy and three girls. All are outfitted in their combat gear and weaponry, holding their luggage or sitting on it as they pass the time.

Unfortunately, you know none of these kind folks. You vaguely recall seeing the male among the student body back at Beacon, but you had never shared any classes with him, let alone knew his name. His dark brown eyes are focused on the television mounted on the airship wall, a rather foul look on his face as he watches what you assume is the news. You doubt he's going to make for good company. The other three are total unknowns. One of them is a rather tomboyish looking lass, with saggy purple hair offset by a pair of goggles on top of her head. Her big, dark blue eyes are fixated on the over sized lance in her lap, which she seems to be tinkering with, no doubt making last minute adjustments to her weapon.

The final two students seem to be a pair, and a comical one at that. The one which immediately catches your attention seems to be human. She's quite large, far taller than yourself or even the boy sharing the room with you. Not only is she imposing in height, but the thick arms she sports prove that her physique is just as impressive. A real amazonian. Her short brown hair and well tanned skin doesn't do anything to sway the very butch air she has about herself. Her companion seems to off set that well. A rather short, petite young lady stands next to her, whining to the taller girl about having to carry her own luggage. She's quite a pretty young thing, with long flowing white hair dotted by what appears to be fox ears that flicker about as she drones on to her large friend, who shoots her an amused look. A massive human and a tiny faunus, both of which seem to be friends.

What do you wish to do? You could just sit alone for the rest of the ride to Beacon, or you could try to strike up conversation with any of the other students to pass a lil' time.

Mordred was a little nervous, She wasn't good with people the only people she knew well growing up were Her Parents, Jaune and his Parents, she never even considered meeting other people and now here she was surrounded by people she didn't know, Gulping lightly Mordred decided to go to the pair of girls "Hello I'm Mordred Rais of the Rais Family, I specialize in Close Combat of all types but Enjoy using my family's three thousand year old Zweihander named Clarent most, I enjoy Training and I like people who work hard for their goal no matter how hard it seems to be to reach, I dislike idiots who refuse to train or even try thanks to social or econamical standing, May I Ask for your introduction." It was easy to see she wasn't good at talking to others all that much.

The smaller girl stops her babbling to look at you quizzically, her faunus ears twitching back and forth as you give you extensive introduction. The giant girl follows in this as well, although she doesn't seem quite as confused by it. When you finish speaking, the faunus girl is the first one to pipe up. "You're weird." The fox girl states straight away, although her high pitch voice doesn't particularly betray any antagonistic intentions. She genuinely thinks you're strange. Her words are met by a playful bop from the taller girl, resulting in the faunus girl letting out a long whine in protest. "That's mean!" The snowy haired girl protests.

"So's callin' her a weirdo." The bear sized human states. She steps towards you, showing just how much she stands above you. Girl must be six foot eight at least! Extending a large, calloused hand towards you, she shoots you a warm smile. "Name's August. This is Euphemia." She says, gesturing to the pouting faunus who is not at all happy with the turn out. "Don't mind her too much. She's just a priss, is all." August explains, only to get a petite fist to the side from the faunus, something you doubt she even felt.

Perhaps detecting you wanted more than names, August scratches the back of her head with her free hand. "We're from Mistral, I guess. I specialize in melee and miss priss over here uses magic." She explains, gesturing to the large warhammer hanging off her back. Taking offense to her claim, Euphemia pipes up. "It's not magic! It's dustcraft and it's very complicated!"

Mordred Flinched and looked a bit awkward at the mention of Magic and Dustcraft "Ah that's nice my Family isn't allowed to do Dustcraft anymore, whenever we try Tentacles......" She trailed off and shuddered.

Hearing your words, Euphemia blinks several times before turning to August. "I told you she's weird! She's into octopuses! Octopi! Octopus!" The young faunus exclaims, gaining a strange look from the other two people in the cabin and causing the larger girl to plant her palm firmly in her face. "It's not polite to judge people for their sexual preferences. 'Sides, she didn't say anything about an octopus." No doubt detecting how awkward the conversation would get and having more tact than a box of crackers like her friend, August quickly changed the subject. "So! Where're you comin' from? Vale? Did you come to Beacon with any of your friends? I know we left behind a lot of 'em when we decided to enroll here." She says.

"Left behind a whole buncha assholes!" Euphemia retorts, obnoxious as ever. It's a wonder someone like August puts up with her, although the saying did go 'opposites attract'.

Mordred Glares "I'm not into them it's just whenever my family uses dust they appear." She said before shaking her head "Anyway I didn't really Grow up in a kingdom, The Rais Family is old so old That we Predate the Kingdom's my sword is older than most of them, But I Do have one Friend that coming Jaune Arc of the Arc Family."

Euphemia returns your glare, going to say something no doubt offensive about your family's use of dust. But, she's stopped by August who puts a hand on her shoulder. Focusing back on you, she decides to continue a more pleasant conversation. "Never heard of 'em." August states, although you didn't expect people from as far away as Mistral to understand your pedigree. "Is it a good idea to be using a sword older than a kingdom? I mean, Grimm tend to be pretty damn aggressive. What if it breaks?" She asks, trying to make small talk. You notice, out the window, that a large set of buildings camped a top a cliff are slowly appearing from the foggy distance. Beacon isn't far away.

Mordred Shook her head "It's a lot better than modern weapons, Plus it's been used in every major war by my family, My Grandfather even used it to take out a Flock of Giant Nevermore by himself." She said, her sword was the best even if it was soaked in blood.

Hearing how proud you are of your sword, August grins. "Really now? How 'bout we test it against my hammer after the entrance exam?" She asks, issuing you a playful challenge. Hearing this, Euphemia 'hmphs' and mutters something about snapping, although you can't quite make out what she's saying as the airship begins to dock, its engines roaring as it hovers into position and thick steel rods connect it to the pier on Beacon's cliff side. The attendants come over the loudspeakers, informing you that all first year students are to report to the amphitheater to be addressed by Headmaster Ozpin. The purple haired girl and the grumpy guy depart the cabin immediately, leaving you with the two girls. "S'pose we should hussle. See ya around, Mori." August says, apparently deciding to nickname you at the same time. She slides past you towards the exit, Euphemia following like a pet while she glares at you, although its more cute than threatening thanks to her appearance.

As you yourself disembark, you're shuffled through a crowd of other first years until eventually you find some personal space on Beacon's large pathways. You saw many people on your way, but none of them Jaune. It's likely he's trying not to bring attention to himself, seeing as though he technically shouldn't be at Beacon and forged his way in. You could try to look for him, maybe try to find August and her 'pet' or you could just wander to the theater to see the opening speech.

You search all over for your dopey friend and are nearly about to give up, when you spot him walking around with some short girl with dark red hair fiddling with what looks to be some kind of sniper rifle. After watching for a moment, you see the red headed girl eventually break away from Jaune, leaving him alone and looking ever so slightly confused as to where to go.

Jaune spins to see you when you call out to him. You notice the color drain out of him as he spots you, obviously quite worried about you sudden appearance. "U-Uhm, Mordred- Wow uh.. Did not expect to see you here. You uh... You were supposed to be attending Beacon next year, weren't you?" He asks nervously, probably scared you'd tell his parents he managed to sneak his way into Beacon.

Mordred looked Proud "With someone like me getting into Beacon was easy, And don't worry I wont tell You parents, Just like I didn't tell them when you begged crying on your hands and knees for me to give you a blow job~" Jaune was the only person she could or would tease.

Flushing darkly at the teasing, Jaune glares at you. "I-I'd never ask for something like that! And I wasn't crying!" He yells shakily, forcing himself to walk several paces ahead of you despite not knowing where he was going in the least. Knowing him, he'd probably lead you both in circles before admitting that.

Mordred Giggled and grabbed his arm to lead him the right way "Yes you were and when I didn't agree right away you kept making lewder and lewder offers to just get a little bit of pleasure, it was so cute~" She teased as she pulled him along.

"S-Stop it. I didn't come here to get teased.. I came here to be a man!" Jaune demands, equal parts frustrated and flustered by your constant teasing. He seems quite serious about it at the very least. It seemed he's changed, at least a little bit, while you were off at combat school learning how to fight off the Grimm. He's more... determined than before.

As the two of you arrive, the headmaster seems to just be getting up onto the stage. The odd looking man sips at his coffee, looking over each and every one of you briefly before beginning his speech. It's slightly tedious and ever so slightly condescending, about potential and how wasted it is on those who are not willing to work hard. When it ends and the headmaster leaves, the room bursts into noise as the students finally are allowed to speak among themselves. Jaune shifts uncomfortably in your grip, seeing as though you still have his arm. "S-So uh.. How're you?' He asks awkwardly. You note that not too far away, there's a girl with long red hair and bright green eyes staring at the two of you, although you're not sure if it's because of you or your friend. Maybe Jaune's gotten an admirer?

Mordred let go of his arm with a smile "I'm doing good, Found out I was a lesbian at school." She said with a true smile before she saw the girl watching them, She waved the Girl over.
