Lazy Kitsune Wrote:Name: Masaki Miki
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance:Spoiler (click to show/hide):
Background: Miki was born out of wedlock - devastating news for the fiancé of her mother as the two were waiting until marriage to finally be together. According to Miki's mother, there was no other man. But her stories about have sexual encounters in her dreams, or feeling an invisible presence fall upon her at night did little to convince her fiancé of anything other than that she was a bad liar. In the fallout that followed, Miki was left discarded and disowned.
Miki's foster home burned down when she was eight. Fortunately no one was harmed, however one of the other kids overheard Miki talking to someone about playing with matches the day prior. When the child went to investigate, Miki was in a room all on her own. Miki would later try to claim she was trying to persuade someone else entirely not to play with matches, someone that no one else could apparently see. The following psychiatric evaluations attached an array of labels to Miki, though no professional seemed wholly confident on most of them. The one thing they kept coming back to was that she was desperate for attention and would continue to make outlandish lies in order to get it. The reputation of being the weird girl who kept making things up would follow Miki even after she was moved away from anyone who knew anything about the fire.
After the move, she was put up in her school dorms rather than in a foster home. Here she continued to be an outsider, but this was something she embraced about herself. In her spare time she would research the 'weird' things of the world that no one else seemed to believe in - finding in online forms plenty of like minded people. She developed a knack for researching the various phenomena these people discussed, finding a large number of them to be fake, but every so often she would uncover something that she felt was real... she just lacked any way to prove this.
Eventually she would start writing for the school paper, where she would try to publish her various findings into her investigations of the mysterious and superstitions in both the school and the surrounding area. These were seen at first as harmless additions to the paper, but given Miki's extreme dedication compared to that of most of her classmates, she eventually became the sole writer for the paper and it soon lost what little credibility it had as everyone saw it as at best a collection of fictional ghost stories Miki made up, or at worst a lot of conspiratorial nonsense that showed just how weird she was.
Perplexed by how everyone seemed to refuse to see what seemed to be so obvious to her, but not at all deterred, Miki continued to search for like minded people like her, this time much closer to home than the online forums she found. She opened a club within the school to try and attract paranormal investigators, though her main success was finding a local paper that published articles on paranormal experiences people had. She read through the paper and, while she found a lot of it overly sensationalised and lacking proper sourcing, a lot of it spoke to her. Soon she found herself buying backlogs with what little club funds she had - much to the surprise of the paper's owner who had been barely getting by with how niche it was. She read through them all and found several articles about events that seemed to leave the story incomplete. After doing some of her own digging, Miki completed the rest of the research and visited the paper's headquarters herself to deliver her notes in person. As bizarre as the encounter had been for the team that ran the paper, none of whom believed in what they were writing as anything more than an easy way to make money off of people who found this stuff entertaining, Miki's findings were published, and there was a slight uptick in how well received that issue had been. After showing up uninvited enough times, and managing to earn some fondness in the eyes of the paper's owner despite her weird quirks, Miki was eventually offered a part time position there as a researcher for their paper.
Sometimes she would frustrate them with how she would refuse to write on length about hauntings and occurrences that she could prove to be hoaxes. Other times she provided them too much detail when she was convinced something was real. But her passion and dedication were undeniable and perhaps a little bit infectious. It's just a shame that whenever Miki insists she has real, concrete evidence now, it ends up being a super blurry photo, indecipherable audio or somehow gets lost or destroyed before anyone else can see it.
Perks:
Spirit Tingle: Miki gets a little tingling sensation when near something paranormal. Even if she can't always see spirits, she can normally feel when they're nearby. Even if they aren't "feeling" her at the moment.
Occult Leader: Not to be confused with a cult leader... yet. Though she certainly has the trappings of one. Though no one really believes Miki, those who choose to play along with her antics find it hard to say no to her too much and tend to get carried away with her enthusiasm for the occult. Even without any concrete evidence, its easy for her to convince these people to help her on yet another lead.
Spook Sleuth: Her hobby driven research has left her with the skills of a seasoned detective. Mainly when it comes to spiritual matters, but these skills are surprisingly versatile and can be applied to uncovering secrets of the more mundane variety.
On the Job: While investigating a supernatural phenomenon or rumour, Miki seems to have near boundless energy - at least when compared to her cohorts. While anything and sometimes seemingly everything else in life can bore her to the point of sleeping through conversations, when something supernatural is afoot she doesn't seem to need to rest until its done... at which point her body promptly shuts down so she can catch up on all the sleep she's missed.
Flaws:
Sexy Freak: Despite Miki's largely negative reputation, she is still very hot, with the body you would more likely associate with a model or pornstar rather than a paranormal obsessed otaku. It's not uncommon for boys in her year to talk to each other about how they'd still fuck her despite how weird she is, with many assuming that her freak would make her even better in bed. Rumours even developed to the point of several claiming they have fucked her, including details of outlandish things she did for them in bed. Afterall, who would people be more likely to believe, them or the girl who makes up lies for her main hobby? This reputation hinders her social circle at school, but even outside of that her attractiveness gets her a lot of unwanted attention. She lacks the social skills to use this to her advantage, so usually this just ends up hindering her as she is harassed by the mortal and otherworldly alike.
Spirit Kick: A habit she may have picked up from her new mentor at the paranormal conspiracy tabloid she now works at, Miki enjoys an alcoholic drink every once in a while. As you would expect for an 18 year old girl, this tends to hit her quite hard. She insists it makes her more in tune with supernatural vibes. However correct she is about that, it certainly makes her a very agreeable and susceptible drunk.
Bouncy Fun Bags: Miki's tits are as sensitive as they are large and bouncy. Not only do they weigh enough to slow her down, but they're easy to grab and playing with them will make her squeal in moments. She often complains that its no fair most 'weak spots' are supposed to be hard to hit, yet hers are the largest parts of her body.
Turn Ons: Rape, bestiality, MILFs, DILFs, sub/dom play, pet play, cuckolding, hypnosis, possession, drunk / drugged sex, blackmail, humiliation, sexual favours, sex as payment, teasing, harem/reverse harem
Turn Offs: Gore, vore, pedo, scat, insects and arachnids
The sound of the final bell of the day stirs you from what had, until that point, been a rather restorative nap. A rather necessary nap at that, too. However important Hano-sensei's lessons on the English language were for a bright young girl like yourself, investigating the invisible world which underscored so many urban misfortunes was a far better use of your time, and you spent much of the previous night wide awake, and thoroughly enraptured in a tale of a local vintage video store whose unmarked tapes seem to foretell the doom of those who rent them—but only when they rent them during the peak of a full moon. Of course, the further you deep-dived, the more posts on social media you combed through, you eventually concluded that the source of this rumor was not some perturbed coroner or concerned whistleblower, but rather the social media account of the business owner, who just happened to run specials on his unappreciated wares during the very same full moon. An unfortunate dead end in your endless quest for the supernatural, but time well spent all the same. Maybe you could recoup your losses and check it out with the others. You aren't sure whether or not the ancient AV equipment that you managed to convince the principal to turn over to the Paranormal Investigation Club includes a VHS player, but you're sure Kei-kun could put something together. He's been dropping hints about wanting to watch something whenever you pass by the theater, in any case.
You'd just have to make sure not to go during the full moon. Just in case.
As you wipe the drool off your face and collect your things, almost all of your classmates have gotten up and filed out of the small classroom, eager to get to their clubs, part-time jobs, or homes. You might lack the latter, but the former two you can proudly declare success in: however much of a freak they might think you are, you're practically an accomplished journalist on top of being the leader of a club! That had to matter for something, didn't it? While you mentally build yourself up, one of your loyal subordinates comes wandering over. Not at all surprising, given you two share a homeroom, so it wasn't exactly a very far trek to make to meet up with her intrepet leader.
"Masaki-san, if you keep dozing off during lessons Hano-sensei is going to be very upset..."
Sakata Minako is a good girl. She's always been a good girl, as long as you've known her. The sort of law-abiding good citizen who looks three ways before crossing the street and always makes sure to make her bed before leaving in the morning. Were she a little bolder, maybe she'd even be the type to scold you for falling asleep in class instead of nervously reminding you of the consequences of breaking the rules. But her terrible shyness and long history of being the punching bag for every rebellious teenager from junior high onwards left her as little more than an assiduous loner with nowhere to go but down. Not on you, as the baseball team seemed convinced in the exceptionally impolite rumor they spread around the start of the semester, but instead down the social pecking order. She plateaued near the bottom when she landed in your club as its second—and at present, final—member. Not as ardent a supporter as the first member, of course, but Mina-chan has something going for her that even the pack of popular girls who picked on her don't: she seems to actually, genuinely believe you and your experiences. And that counts for a lot.
"Yama-san has been working very hard on restoring that old laptop for us. It would be a shame if you were unable to attend the next club meeting to make use of it because of detention. Please, be more careful..."
Prudent as ever. Yamada Kei, your first club member and perhaps the most ardent supporter you have, isn't someone you want to disappoint. He was the first friend that you made when you transferred to this town, and for a long time, the only friend. He's always taken you at your word about the things you've seen and heard, always offered his support in investigating, even going so far as to learn how to repair all matters of digital and analog machines to give you the equipment you need to try and gather evidence. If you're brutally honest, you think his social life might have taken a bit of a hit by his insistence on hanging around you, but he never seems to mind very much. If he had to choose between you and a bunch of guys who would leave him hanging over a girl, you remember him saying, he'd pick you every time. What a nice guy.
