"Of course, you run the library after all." Kayin replies, then looks to Ashlynn and smirks. "I wield magic. Back home, magic and books kind of go hand in hand." In any case, she suggests to Maester Luwin breaking down the library into numbered sections, say from zero to ten, and with each numbered section representing a topic or theme. Fictional books could for example go in one section, books on faith and religion another, medicine, so on. She also notes that they could then be sorted alphabetically by author... though adds that they could also have a section for books where the author is not known.

"Very well, I'll start putting the books into piles by topic while you two put them up on the shelves." He reaches for a pile of books looking at the cover before muttering which section it belongs in and setting it down. He remains silent when placing a book onto an existing stack only saying the section when he starts a new stack leaving the two of you to place the books onto the shelving. It takes nearly two hours to get everything into its new place, but when you're done, everything looks much more organized. As you look over your work, you realize how hungry you've grown.

Letting him decide the ordering, she goes ahead and gets to work. It takes time, and she does dust along the way in places that need it. Once done though, she smiles and nods before looking towards them both.

"Well, I don't know about either of you, but now I'm certainly ready for some food. Think the midday meal is being served now?"

"Yes, I am rather famished." Maester Lewin looks out the window. "Most have probably eaten already, so the mess hall shouldn't be too crowded, but there should still be food left. Let us go then." Ashlynn giggles. "I wondered why I almost never see the Maester at the mess hall. Turns out you avoid the rush that comes when food gets served." He nods his head as he waits for the two of you to lead the way.

Watching him leave, Kayin just shrugged at Ashlynn's comment and noted, "Could also just not be a fan of crowds." In any case, she let Ashlynn lead the way as she followed after her, and took the first available spot after she got herself some food, digging in slowly to relax and unwind a bit.

Ashlynn smirks. "Well, even if he dislikes crowds, he probably should get out of this drafty old tower every now and again, but I know I shouldn't be poking my nose in other peoples' business. Now let's go get some grub."

Getting the the mess hall, it isn't particularly dull, but food is still available, so you're given a nice hearty beef stew and a heel of bread to go with it. Ashlynn takes a deep breath of it. "Smells good, but I can't wait to see the kind of banquet we'll be throwing when we've got a king as our guest." She chuckles leaning in closer to whisper, "The way I hear it, King Robert has three big appetites: food, hunting, and women."

Digging into the hearty stew and occasionally dipping her bread in it, Kayin hums a bit in agreement to the first bit. She was rather curious, given that for her it'd be a chance to try some dishes she'd never gotten to have. As for Ashlynn's comment there, she chuckled a bit as she murmured, "Nothing wrong with those kind of appetites. Could always be worse ones to have." She found herself wondering what it'd be like to meet the King and Queen. If she recalled, Robert by this point wasn't as much the strapping young lad he was, but that didn't mean he didn't still have muscle to go along with it. And Cersei was supposed to be one of the most beautiful people in the seven kingdoms... long as you ignored her personality.

The bread was a bit hard, so soaking it to the stew did a good job of making it easier to tear into making for a pleasing meal. Ashlynn chuckles still keeping her voice down as she shares impolite conversation. "Yeah, I don't have a problem with that, but you know how wives can get about that last one. King's landing is supposedly full of the king's many bastards." She spares a look back and forth. "Kind of a common problem though. Very few lords don't have at least one bastard running around somewhere."

"Some things are rather universal like that." Kayin says, then shrugs a bit as she asks, "Do they take their father's name here in that case? Back home, folks like that tend to just take the name of the mother unless the father wants them." Though as such was asked, a thought briefly past through her mind of King Robert flirting and trying to charm her... which then quickly changed to the two of them enjoying each others company rather... intimately.

She shakes her head. "No, nothing like that. In fact, bastards have last names just for them. Each place has a different last name for them. Snow if they live up here, but I hear it's Pyke on the Iron Islands." She finishes up her meal looking about before whispering to you some more. "You probably haven't met him yet, but Lord Eddard actually brought Jon Snow back from the war to live here in Winterfell."

With the food finished, Ashlyyn patted herself off. "Alright, we worked pretty hard, so I think we deserve a short break before we see if there's any more help needed. Any ideas what you'd like to do, or who you'd like to meet?"

She hummed at this, and quirked her head. "Was he not one of those with the others who found me out in the woods?" She could swear she had seen him... but she might have been mistaken. In any case, after a moment, she tapped her chin and then said, "Well I've met Robb, why not go meet Jon?"

"Yeah, he would have been there, so you probably saw him. He's the one that looks most like Lord Eddard." She stands up. "Not sure where he'd be about now. The Stark children will probably be laying out their clothes for tomorrow and brushing up on protocols for the arrival, but Lord Stark can't really present a bastard amongst his trueborn children to the King. Still, it wouldn't hurt to have a look around, and see if we can't seek him out."

"Can always ask around." She notes with a shrug as she gets up and stretches, looking about for one of the servants or even for one of the other Stark children. She considers asking Lady Catelyn if she sees her, but is aware of how she wasn't all that fond of Jon.

Asking a few people, you were able to find where Jon was. While Rob had much of his mother's appearance, Jon looked like a Stark through and through. He was currently training his Dire Wolf pup. Unlike the other's you had seen, this ones fur was almost entirely white, and you soon noticed it was rather mute.

Ashlynn stepped up to him. "Jon, I wanted to introduce you to our guest. This is Kayin Dreemurr." He gives you a look. "Yes, I saw her in the woods this morning. Rather hard to forget how suddenly you were there."

Kayin admired the beautiful dire wolf... Ghost if she remembered the name correctly. She reached a hand out to it, to let it sniff at her as she nodded and chuckled a bit. "You're not the only one who feels that way. My expectation was to wind up somewhere near my home, not in a cold forest in a land far from my own."

Whether or not Ghost would let her give the direwolf pets, she'd glance to Jon, wondering if she should involve herself there in any capacity. "I'm a curious sort, and wish to learn a bit more about the family of whom I am a guest of. Would you do me the honor of telling me about yourself, Jon?"

At first, the dire wolf stays back looking a bit unsure, (4, 5, 2)but then it inches closer giving a sniff which surprises Jon. "Well, that's surprising. He hasn't seemed to like anyone else that's approached him." He gives you a curious look. "Well, I guess being so far away so suddenly would be surprising.

He shrugs his shoulders. "Not much to tell about me. My father left to fight a major war to replace a mad king. When he came back he brought my back with him. Kind of awkward living in a place where you're father's such a big shot, but you're not really one of his trueborn children. What else would you want to know?"

Giving Ghost some pets, and ruffling the fur atop its head, scritching just a bit around his ears, she hummed a bit and asked, "Mhm, knowing the sort of person you are would be nice. If you're a skilled hunter or warrior, or if you perhaps might be a bit of a bookish sort. Talkative or quiet, what adventures a strapping young man like yourself may have been on. Those sorts of things." Kayin made a point to remember to make similar inquiries with the other Stark children, but for now, remained focused on Jon.

To encourage him to open up a bit more perhaps, she adds, "You are free to ask similar of me, if it'd please you."
