Hello everyone!
Here I am today to introduce you the game we, at Versus X Studio, have been working on.

Along with the introduction, there is a download link for the "Bioasshard Arena Playground 0.0.3" (The link will be near the bottom but I recommend you to read this to get what you need to know all about this)

What is Bioasshard?

One thing to keep in mind is: that the release we just made is Bioasshard Arena Playground, so this mean it’s not the game but the proof of concept for it so everyone can see how it is in its early stages of development. So there’s no story in the Arena. This said, the story for the game is already written.

Have you wondered what would of have happened if c*pcom wouldn't have destroyed Resident Evil with RE6?
Well we did and this is the result.
Bioasshard's plot occurs right after the events of Resi-Evil 5. A few months later to be more specific.
Avoiding spoilers, I'll tell a few of our heroes has been captured and held hostage in a god-forsaken island to be used in some unknown experiments... So they'll have to try and find an escape from there... And that's all I can say for now :/.



How is it gameplay-wise?

3rd person shooter. With over-the-shoulder camera and closer view with aiming.
I guess I can resume it saying: "it's like Resident Evil 5 with some extra mechanics like puzzles and with sexual-attacks".
As for the controls, I'd like to say I wanted it focused for gamepad-play but I have no pc-gamepad so I couldn't test it. The mechanics are there but untested. They should work but things like camera movement or aiming mechanics may feel rough. This obviously means you can play it with keyboard+mouse.



Adult content?

One thing to keep in mind is: with this release there’s no CGs so there’s only “one element” of adult content. This said:
It mainly focused on two types of content:

Story-wise sex
Enemy attacks, called Sexttacks. That's the main effect the new virus causes on infected people: To search uninfected targets to "force" them to have sex.

The first type is the one that happens because of the story. This one is more cinematic and of a better quality than the second one.
The sexttacks are the more common type (well it all depends on your skills to be honest :P). Right now, in the Arena, 3 different types are present.



Current state of the project?

It's been more than year since the development started. A lot of systems are already programmed and lots of them are already in the Arena.
The majority of the systems has been already discussed during the Meguido's Reports on Patreon.
I'd say the 90% or more of the player's mechanics are already done.
The Infected have a basic AI in place they spot/hear you, they chase you, they attack you, they stun you then they sexttack you :) .
Let's 'resume' it this way:

What it has
    Resident Evil 5 character movement style
    Walk
    Run
    Quick-turn
    Jump up
    Jump Down
    Jump Over obstacles
    Aiming system with fire-weapons
    Aiming system with survival knife
    Quick Knife Attack
    Inventory (RE5-Style)
    Inventory shortcuts (easy access to inventory slots)
    Pause Menu
    Main Menu (Title-screen)
    Game Over Menu
    Patch/DLC system
    Interacting with: Doors, puzzles, items, key items...
    Infected basic AI
    Damage system based on damaged part for enemies (yeah aim for the head if you don't want to make it the hard way xD)
    Damage system based on position to target for the Player (watch out for attacks from your back; they can get you stunned in no time)
    Physical attack system / Reaction system to sexttacks (a very useful area range counter-attack to get rid of the enemies around you)
    Climb ladders
    Enemy item-drop-when-dead system (some drop always, some drop randomly)
    Weapon upgrade system -not available yet in the Arena-
    Mod system for Infected's appearance -not available yet in the Arena-
    Save system -not available yet in the Arena-
    Taunt -not available yet in the Arena-
    Map -not available yet in the Arena (and not necessary in there I think xD)-
    Gold system -not available yet in the Arena-
    Use Item system (like green/green+red/blue herbs) -not available yet in the Arena-

What it does not have (yet)
    More types of Infected (dogs, crows... you know the beloved fauna of the Resident Evil universe)
    Cloth damage system
    More variations in sexttacks
    More cameras in sexttacks
    Group sexttacks (the possibility for more enemies to join the party :3)
    More weapon types (only two in the Arena right now: pistol and survival-knife)
    Physical damage system (you know that feeling when you shot an enemy to the leg to go near him to get a context action attack to crush him down or get on his back to break his neck)
    A proper and smooth rig for Jill (with better breasts and ass reactions)
    A settings system (I guess this one is a must but got no input/interest for it in Patreon so went down in the priorities for launch list)
    Real animations for the infected (right now they're dummy animations and poorly made with lots of errors)
    An Intermission screen (with a shop and where the weapon upgrade system is placed)
    A difficulty mode selection screen (you know, for different kind of players)
    Normalized audio and music

What we want to add
    A better Jill model overall (better look, better textures, better morphs, ...)
    A proper physics interaction system (with real interactions and collisions for boobies and all)
    Transition animations for sexttacks (instead of that white flash)
    Smoother transitions for the different animations overall
    A more complex AI for the infected with the ability to jump obstacles and the ability to make better choices when attacking you in group
    Bosses, of course
    All the sequences/CGs to be real-time
    QTE-sequences (that op Chris combo-ing that gigantic rock in the middle of a volcano <3)
    And a lot more of that Resident Evil-esque universe stuff

Depending on when you read this, before or after playing the Arena (yeah I know you can skip this wall-text and look for that highlighted word or link to download and start playing asap ), you may be wondering something about the length of the Arena. Even if you didn’t play it yet, I’ll tell you now: The Arena is really short…
And with more than a year in development, why is it so short? (you may be wondering, or maybe not but I don’t really care because I’m going to explain you why anyway lol)
First let me say that the Arena 0.0.1 is no more than just a PoC (Proof of Concept)
With all the systems it has in place it would have been easy to make it longer (as long as I wanted it to be ^^) but there is an important problem: The PC where the game is developed in.
These are the main specs of this archaic pc:
AMD FX-4100 Quad-core @3.59 GHz
8Gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (6738) 1024 Mb GDDR5
MoBo basic fan so no OC is even possible

When making the last part of the Arena we realized it was impossible for this PC to handle anything more. So we had to redesign the level to finish the arena in there.

With that cleared up it's important to say this game is planned to be completely FREE... but your support is necessary and deeply appreciated to be able to continue developing it.

In the past few weeks/month the PC has gone even worse and I'm pretty sure it's about to die . Constant crashes, black screens, forced hard resets that led to black screens instead of initializing windows, auto-resets with the same results (but in this case losing everything I had not saved), "out of video memory" messages/crashes with the same result (losing everything unsaved) and the scariest/annoying one (scary because I really thought it was gonna die) is the one when trying to turn it off but it keeps resetting without even reaching the log-in screen and forcing me to turn it off via power supply.
Meh... a nightmare but I had to keep on going, there's no way I could throw so much time working on it to the trash can.

Sorry for the crying, that's not cool nor even correct but I really wanted to let you know why we need your support.

Known Bugs / Glitches (working on fixing them)

    (Common?) Due to the impossibility of fully test the Arena, there's a huge chance that you'll find some cameras to go through the map or through the models. Usually the rest of the cameras are good, so if you find this problem, change to another camera (LMB/RMB | LB/RB | L1/R1).This should be fixed now but still unable to fully-test it.
    (Common if you have a pc like mine) When climbing a ladder, due to the slowness of the pc, Jill may get stuck when finishing the climb. Only solution to this is to not have a pc like mine (or older if that even exists xD).

I really like what you have so far and have very few complaints regarding it. I finished the game and went through all the sex scenes. The artwork is well done and overall I think it has a lot of potential. Keep up the good work! :D

I'm impressed! Gameplay wise, it really does feel a lot like ye olde Resident Evil. I only really had two criticisms I could come up with.

The first is that it didn't really feel like I had control over the sexattack scene. It seemed to move forward no matter what I pressed and I wasn't able to really adjust the camera. Might be a bug on my end, I'm not sure.

The second is the inflation of Jill's belly every time she has sex as well as the general change of appearance. It feels like it's going from 0 to 11 without much between it. The fact that her clothes reappear even after being removed makes the leap in her expanded belly even more noticeable. Maybe make the leap a little bit less extreme unless you're taken by a really large monster and tie what sort of sex act she's forced into based on the status of her clothes. The worse off your clothes are, the more sexattacks will take out of you. Sort of like an armor bar.

Regardless, looking forward to the update! Whenever that happens to be.

Thank you to both of you guys ^^.

@Screwbucket Yeah I know about the cameras. I'd really want to give total control of the camera, but I'm still figuring how to manage the collisions. So right now all you can do is change between different cameras with mouse buttons, zoom in/out a bit with mouse scroll and pan the camera moving the mouse. But then there's not much time to do it because you have to free from the attack to avoid infection (cum xD) so it's 'better' (or not :lol: ) to focus on pressing A and D to get free and counterattack the enemies.
On the inflation, I think it gets to 1 too fast (it's a morph so it goes from 0 to 1 and probably that's a too low value and makes it hard to smooth it).
Thanks to your input on the clothes I found I forgot an important part on the main post. The section about the 'current state of the project'. In there you can see a cloth damage system is in the work but didn't make to the first release. I really like that idea of the sort of sex act based on the status of her clothes. I'll try to add it ^^ so thank you very much for that.

@Spiritmook So you finished it, right? Would be cool to get the people on Discord to take a screenshot of the results screen and post it in there so we could compare and things like that. Make like an improvised leader-board :D .

really nice work so far. it feels a lot like the biohazard games.

camera during sex attacks was zoomed way in for me. i could barely see any of the action most of the time and it was sometimes even stuck in the floor. also the sex scenes are too short. give me a chance to fap! i hope you also add audio to jill since she makes no sounds during sex. also jill would freeze in place if i pulled out the knife while standing by something i could climb or jump over. had to restart a couple times because of this.

jill seemed too fat compared to how she is in the games by default but i liked the belly inflation after sex. does she pregnant? that would be fun. i agree with screwbucket that it happens too fast and sudden though. i also think she should stay naked after sex unless the player finds more clothes as it was weird to go from naked to fully clothed instantly after sex.

i like your game a lot and look forward to next release. thank you. :D

I forgot to add that you can zoom in/out (a bit) using mouse scroll to the controls, my bad.
About the duration of the sexttacks I'm considering adding a configuration option to the settings menu (when it's available) so anyone can decided how much the sexttack should take.
As for the audio for Jill, it would be cool f*cking amazing if we could get enough support to allow us to get character voices in :mrgreen:

Thanks for reporting the knife bug! Some other people already reported it but it wasn't that specific. I finally can make my way to fix focusing in what I have to fix instead of just trying to figure where it happens :D

Right now the inflation is more like an infection... let's see how it progress xD.

Hopefully when we add the cloth damage system it will make much more sense :P

Why not make it so that the player can hit a button to end the sex attack or start resisting? That way it goes on for as long as the player wants every time.

Bioasshard Arena v.0.0.2 Released!

This one is focused mainly on bugfixing. But also added a feature vastly demanded: Settings Menu.

From this menu you can configure many aspects of the game like Audio, Graphics and Gameplay stuff (including a configuration for the Sexttacks duration :D).

Good news:
    All the bugfixes made!
    17 total changes, including Add-on, Changes and Bugfixes!
    Settings Menu available in the Main Menu/Title Screen and the Pause Menu during game!
    Updated the Readme! file with the new stuff so read it, please!

Bad news:
    After so many days talking about a patch for the new version, it ended up being a fully-rebuilded version. Sorry about that. Because we added a new plugin, the patch wasn't able to add the necessary dependencies.
    Tried to fix the "exploding model" glitch just to discover that my PC (Meguido's) said "enough is enough". I'm unable to import new models with morphs... So this means this will be limiting a lot unless we start getting more support that allows us to finally get new hardware and send these ones to hell.
    Early version has been removed from the server. So this way you can always download the latest version (this is for now, when we release an actual patch, the version won't be removed obviously xD).

One last thing: From now on, the next versions will be released according to our Tiers. Meaning it won't be publicly available at the same date as for Patrons and also different Tiers will get the updates at different Release dates as mentioned in the Tiers descriptions.

Bioasshard Arena v.0.0.3 Released!

Exactly as it reads :) A new version has been released.
Not many adds on this one as we're trying to refine/bug-fix what we have now before starting to add more to it.
This time is the first patch. So it's a smaller size.

To install it, you just have to open the .rar file and uncompress both files to the same exact place where you have the 0.0.2 version as stated in the Readme! file. (One of the two files in the .rar is the Readme! file so just select 'yes' when prompted to override the older 0.0.2 version Readme! one).

Then execute the Patch Installer and it will auto-update the game for you.

The reason for this small patch?

Well basically the main reason is to see if we finally managed to fix one of the main bugs: the "exploding" Jill model. This bug should be fixed with this patch. For the complete changelog, please, read the "Readme!" file.

Huh maybe I should have posted something earlier. I'm very interested in this. You seem to have captured Resident Evil game play spectacularly. I'll probably give this a try as soon as I get through my self-made queue of H-games that I still need to try or complete lol.

its good that you added the option to make the sex attacks longer but i still feel like you get too few of them before dying. it takes many hits for the zombie to knock me down and by the time its had its way with me i am nearly dead. i get maybe three sex scenes at most and sometimes less as it doesnt always knock me down. i hope in the future it will be easier to repeat them. maybe jill only stands up after you press a button and otherwise she just stays down for the enemies to keep having a go?

about the voice. is it not possible to just use jill's voice from RE5 for her moans and grunts during sex? im not sure if theres some legal issue with it that is preventing you. anyway thank you for the update and i look forward to more. :)

Hopefully the new sexttack's system that will be implemented in the 0.1.0 version will be better. Also yeah, we can't use jill's voice clips due to legal problems.

Why would you want to open the .pak file? the .pak file is the patch file that goes installed in the 0.0.2 version.

I downloaded both links provided, and I can't extract the files with 7z. How are you supposed to open these?

On another note, looking at the model, Is there any hope that there will be an optional "classic bob cut" Jill model in the future? I know it's probably too much to ask, especially this early on. Gameplay should come before extra features, after all. I've just always preferred Jill with shorter hair, and I'm sure I'm not the only one with that preference. Also, seeing Jill in her RE3 outfit with the ponytail hairstyle from RE5 just feels kind of "off" to me.

You should use winrar 5.50 to uncompress it. Also is better to just run the .exe of the v0.0.3 instead of uncompressing it to avoid messing with the files in case you don't know where to put the patch.
About the classic bob cut, I won't discard that option but honesty it all depends on the success of the game.
