And this brings us to the end of this pin-up set. More and better stuff to come after a quick holiday refractory period.

I was working on this character and got a little ... distracted, so I ended up making this little pin-up. On the one hand, didn't get done what I intended to get done, but on the other hand, this drives home how fun and easy it is to do shit like this, especially compared to the 2D artwork.

A little side character I've been working on. At first, she was just something to do for fun, but now I'm thinking she might appear in Vacation in Ninja-Land or in her own adventure later.

Usually, I don't like how flat shading looks, but this time I'm more satisfied with it.

BITCH, YOU THINK i WON'T PAINT THE SHIT OUT OF YOU???

Actually, I'm trying to practice my painting skills so that I can make UV textures for 3D stuff with more of a painted look to them. And also sometimes it's nice to remind myself that I can do whatever the fuck I want if I put my mind to it.

Also that reminds me, I drew this one in like, December, and never posted it anywhere:

For the last couple months, I have theoretically been preparing for a new office themed comic, but in practice mostly reeling from exhaustion from flu season and seasonal depression. Anyways, I'm maybe halfway done with the 5 characters I need, starting with this chica, an orinoco crocodile. Although once I've got all of them "done", I'll still need to look them over and do some final balancing, so this may or may not be her final form.

Progress continues.

I wanted to show you one of the amusing bloopers that can happen in 3D art. Her shirt and skin are attached to the same rig, but because the vertices aren't in exactly the same place, they deform differently, causing the skin to "clip" through the shirt in several places. The cure for this is to delete the parts of the body underneath the skirt, keeping a copy of course for when nudity or new outfits are required. There can be other ways around it, but this is the simplest.

Clothes are done, and I'm feeling goofy:

Okay, so here's a kind of a weird project I've been working on. My own private shipwrecked desert island!

Image

So it probably won't actually be "mine" but belong to some sort of new 3D characters that I haven't thought up yet. The story so far is that our heroes were captives locked in the lower decks of this pirate ship. The ship was hit by a storm and the pirate crew escaped or were thrown overboard, but the prisoners were all together on the ship and landed safely, or at least intact on this deserted island. They build some huts out of wood from the ship and scrape out a life on their new home. And obviously, they fuck each others brains out.

Alternatively, there might be a more paradise fun time story, like they moved out to the island to escape the drudgery of modern life and a pirate ship has been washed up by the currents after a storm, and once a month they take their boat to the mainland for supplies.

So here's a quick tour of Ace's Island.

Here's the crashed ship:

The heroes still make voyages to the pirate ship to scavenge supplies that the pirates left behind.

Here's is the girls' hut:

(View from the girls' hut patio)

The girl's hut is bigger (because there are more girls) and closer to the beach.

Here is the boy's hut:

(View from the roof of the boy's hut)

There's probably just one boy on the island. His hut is near the ship, which he is in charge of looting.

There's also a smaller island just off the beach:

And there's a patch of ferns, because I also have ferns:

I might update this to include more types of plants later. It might be their vegetable garden.

I've also got a few undersea assets that I'd like to use, but I've been having trouble doing an underwater render and the water texture in general, so that'll come later if ever. My practical mind also wants to make sure that they have some source of fresh water on this island, so I might expand the place at some point to make room for a well or spring.

So yeah, maybe something will come of this at some point. I don't want it to distract from the other things too much, but sometimes I just need a tropical island in my life.

Interesting concept
I might not create games, but I will test them, Then I will give advice on what I think needs to be added, removed, or improved.

The Lioness is ready for the upcoming Office Comic. And also the office tree. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea, because the tree is a different style than everything else in the scene, but it doesn't look too bad. And much better than the low poly plant I replaced, that was just... ugh.

And this is the boss of the office comic. He's a kiang. He might look a little disappointed that he's not the protagonist of this comic, but don't worry, he's just got resting boss face. And you might be thinking, he's got resting boss face because he's the boss, but no, he's got resting boss face because he's a kiang:

If you think you recognize this character, you might be right about who it is. And if you think that modeling her in 3D might mean that I'm thinking of reviving that project, you might be right about that too.

Given the long list of programming debacles so far, I don't want to make any public promises, but ... there has been a change, and I am feeling hopeful.

"But wait, that's not porn!"
"Then explain why I'm hard..."

So I am definitely going to try and do the thing again. I decided to make some new ships with more of an Atom Punk theme. I actually wanted to do Atom Punk in the first place, I switched it to look more like Star Fox, even though it didn't, but now I don't care, so I'm doing the one that I want. This is a shadeless render because that's easy to do, and this time the ships are going to be in a 3D engine, so they won't look the way they will in Blender anyways.

For anyone who is familiar with the premise of the first try, I've been thinking of expanding on it by having 6 girls instead of 3, and you get to choose which 3 to bring into combat. The lone male protagonist wolf with an eyepatch instead of the fox, but a fox would probably be one of the squadron girls you could hook up with. I'm not sure if I want to do this though. It would be even less like Star Fox, but the whole thing already isn't all that much like Star Fox. The upgrade system from the first try would have to change, but I sort of wanted to change it anyways, but I don't know what I would change it into. I already finished modeling the first 3 girls, so it wouldn't be that much more work to add 3 more. It would be more complicated to do multi-girl scenes, though this is theoretically mitigated by the fact that it's in 3D and I can theoretically swap people out. I say theoretically because that theoretically doesn't work if they have differently shaped bodies, which the girls I've already modeled already do, but there are theoretically ways to make it work anyways. The plot would probably have to change from the first time, which it probably would have anyways, but with more characters, writing would be a lot more work and I would probably make the game a lot less plot dependent, although the whim of inspiration is a goofy cuck sometimes, so who knows.

Alright, so apparently I decided to keep working on this, so I did the 7 ships that they would be if I did 7 characters instead of 4. In this version the protagonist ship is grey. I'm not sure exactly what the other 3 characters would be yet. Probably shark and fox and then there's one empty slot. Maybe lizard, but I might also change the frog from the first draft into a lizard, since I was never wild about the frog to begin with.
