[Unity][Text] Fucked Up Burger Shack

Hi all, I go by the moniker p4p. I'm building this game that I call Fucked Up Burger Shack and I wanted to talk about it here. It is text only and built with Unity (yeah I know). I think of FUBS as a business sim with a sprinkling of CYOA.

Story: The game sets you in the role of a cursed young man who has inherited a food truck business, Sticky Stu's Burger Bus, from his deceased uncle. Sales are great thanks to the uncle's keen business skills, but also thanks to his special sauce recipe; mayo, ketchup, and a fresh load of magical semen that can induce immediate orgasms upon consumption.

Unsurprisingly the tainted sauce really helped drive customer retention or whatever, but it's not all roses. It's more like daisies ... being pushed up, because Uncle Stu died from an evil curse that has decimated the player's family for generations. With his uncle's untimely death, the player is now the last of his name. The eventual goal is to learn enough about the curse to break it, or just settle on impregnating as many women as possible to carry on the family legacy before the curse takes the player's life.



Game Play: The base of FUBS is a business/life-sim loop. You run the Burger Bus by prepping and selling food, go home and sleep, wake up and source food (buy food to sell) for the day, then repeat. You have to get gas and do banking too. Sounds fun right? Well the actions available are all meant to lead to random encounters.

The smallest events are little vignettes that describe actions based on sales, weather, traffic, etc. The main story is told through larger CYOA style events with authored characters. The third type of events are random encounters with procedurally generated non-playable characters. These NPCs, or Randos as I like to call them, are created using a hierarchical randomization system that takes a few random stats as base elements and builds them up to spit out a human. I call it RandoEngine and it's probably the coolest thing about the game right now (but that's just the nerd in me talking).



Parings: The PC is male and you can fuck men, women and trans women. Randos can be filtered by gender, and for the authored characters you can just skip their scenes (although each skip destroys a tiny piece of my soul).



Fetishes: The primary fetishes I'm going for are cum, cum eating, creampies and impregnation, mind control, forced orgasms, vanilla & gay sex, soft-core and hardcore sex. Lesser available fetishes include squirting, public sex, masturbation, voyeurism and more things as I get to them ^_^.



Modding: Fucked Up Burger Shack is written in plain text files that you can mess around with if you are brave. Once you start the game, you select a path for these source files and they are copied into that directory. This currently is not optional, but you can ignore the files if no fucks are given. I've included a document with the compressed game downloads that explains a bit about the formatting of the source. It's something like tweecode used in Twine 1 but incompatible past basic passages and links.



Status: Fucked Up Burger Shack is a work in progress, something like an alpha I suppose. I started coding the tech behind the game in 2013. The idea for FUBS came to me in 2015, but I won't explain how ;). I have been working on FUBS since the summer of 2016.

I won't paste the full roadmap here, but these are a few of the features I am working towards:

  • Employees with uniforms and a sexual harassment heavy process for hiring, training, promoting, and firing.
  • Dating, flings, relationships, cheating, and pregnancy.
  • Restaurant upgrades from Burger Bus, to Shack, to Drive-thru, to sit-in restaurant, and finally to a fancy restaurant.
  • Side businesses like catering, delivery driving, running a brothel and sex club out of the restaurant.

Found a bug, in the bank scene after finishing it once every other time the "bathroom break" option creates an endless loop. You can tell it's an endless loop and not an unresponsive button because the back button will send you back to that scene however many times you clicked that option.

Thanks Hallucination. I haven't been able to reproduce this bug, but I did find a few things that could be causing problems. There was a mistake in the order that a variable was set. I also adjusted the passage that is linked to by that option to be less strict.

A CYOA sex style game harkening to the style of the old Zork games? I'm interested!

Played it for awhile, it's pretty interesting how you have this set up. I'm not sure yet if I missed something with Layla or she's going to come back, just tried it for a few weeks game time. One thing seems off though - most things seem to be open 24 hours a day. I can see the gas station being open 24 hours a day, but the bank, getting the food, or the retail store? It's fine if you want it to be 24-hour open, just surprised...

I noticed something that was off during meditations: I've had sex with a Asian babe but it says she's African (text clearly calls her Asian) and if she's preggers, how can I have 15 kids with her? Or is that how many SHE had already?

I actually noticed a problem with this too, in the debug menu some event descriptions wouldn't match up with the descriptions the generator was giving me. It seemed like the character generator and the description generator are running separately and coming up with different things.

EDIT: on further experimentation the Sauce Auction and False Advertisement events create random descriptions that don't fit the generator descriptions, such as changed race. The fuck her pussy option while inside the bus (the one while they're coherent) also seems to break and cause it to stop at the point your pants come off without giving you any options. This one though seems to be more character specific as it only happens sometimes but I don't know what might be causing it.

Ha, no one has mentioned that yet. From a realism standpoint it is a good idea to give hours of operation to the bank and food supplier, but from a game standpoint I thought it would force you into playing a specific way (starting early in the morning, ending in the afternoon). The next step would be a drive through atm for 24 hour access, and an alternate 24 supermarket with higher prices. Not sure I can justify adding those over other lewd activities right now though :P

The debug menu is kind of deceptive. It shows you a generated Rando and lets you jump into different encounters, but for most of the jump points a new Rando is created.

That sounds like an error with trans women. I'll have to dig into that.

Ha, no one has mentioned that yet. From a realism standpoint it is a good idea to give hours of operation to the bank and food supplier, but from a game standpoint I thought it would force you into playing a specific way (starting early in the morning, ending in the afternoon). The next step would be a drive through atm for 24 hour access, and an alternate 24 supermarket with higher prices. Not sure I can justify adding those over other lewd activities right now though :P


Well, I used to work retail, have friends that still do, so I'll catch those things. :P I agree it makes more sense from a game standpoint, and it's better to not be forced into a set schedule.

A lot of scenes were written prior to calculating statistics and having the meditate menu, so there are some loose ends there. I'm going to take a pass over everything to correct as many things as I can. But those 15 kids are hers though :)


The 15 kids are hers? She's 30something, has 15 kids and is preggers? Busy woman isn't she? :P :P (may want to make sure those things make at least some sense. If she's 33, has 15 kids and is pregnant, that means she's essentially been pregnant nonstop since she was 18!)

That many kids breaks reality for sure, but It's one of those things that I just think is dumb and hot. I knew a woman with 4 kids at the age of 19. She definitely sparked my interest in breeding. I should tone it down a little though because people have pointed it out.
