About
After Hours: Island is a 3D adult interactive experience, with the main goal of customization where possible! In After Hours: Island players have the ability to create and customize characters in the "Character Creator", the Creator allows players to create characters precisely to their desired look and shape. The Creator has the ability to load in and change the textures and body parts that allow the player to change the tone, look and colour of each part.

Development
Its early days yet and there are so many directions I can take this game, I would love if people could give me feedback on what is done so far and what they'd like to see! I'm sure there's some bugs I've missed as well so any feedback on those will help me greatly. You can help me straight away by voting on some polls for me so I can get an general idea of what people want.

Some of you may of realised while playing the Character Creator that it takes you to a folder in My Documents where all the available textures are, the idea is to allow people to create custom assets for the game giving it limitless potential and longevity. I haven't got instructions made up yet but I will properly explain how to utilise the modding in After Hours: Island soon. Note that if you do start creating your own textures now that the character clothes may change in future versions and the texture may not align, female character model is far from being finished.

Initially I needed to do the Character Creator so I can work around custom characters throughout development thus giving more creative control to the user end and less reconstructing code.

Support future development
After Hours: Island will always be free! For those inclined and able to spare it, I do have a Patreon going to help me put more time into development but make sure you're well off first.

Making some good progress, not a whole lot visually though but building a solid foundations.

since i kind of like blends of games, something like business/story/life builder, something where you have to work on getting to the brothel level and moving to a bigger city, through quests, then run the brothel

though i honestly enjoy a good story, no matter what kind of game play the game ends up being, i know that's a tall order, and some of them have been done before, would still be an interesting concept

the fetish stat idea is pretty awesome

Well since you bring it up, I'm making a currency system in the game and do plan on having it effect progression, while not immediate implementation will be done I do aim for a progression involving starting off small such as a worker then working up to the business owner. Also progression in things like your house, starting off as a small apartment working your way to a larger, fancier one.

Hey guys back with another progress update!
Character Creator progress has been great, I've made the system more dynamic as to make adding new gender models in much easier when I do get around to doing them! I've also included shiny sliders to body parts so now you can fine tune your character even more! There also will be a few new additions to the character customisation such as new body sliders to more variation on the face!

Extra development notes:
I've been reworking the female body a little bit, lips are a bit thicker, some of the rigging on the body is slightly improved in areas. One of the biggest changes I've done is prepared the feet for high heels, when done heels should be very easy to implement. I'm doing a lot of future proofing on everything I make which is slowing visible development but means more functionality later on.

Most recent thing I've done is been laying out Relationships with other characters, whether they are blood rated, are they their boss or subordinate or what kind of relationship they have between each other such as being lovers or friends. Originally I was going for some basic straight forward system where you could only have one but I found by spending some time I discovered a 3 system which I explain below.

Blood Relation:
Are they related to a character or not, if they are what kind of relationship do they have (Parent, child, sibling etc)
Relationship:
A simple system that determines a characters current status with another character - Stranger, Friend, Lover, Spouse (This can effect fetishes and vice versa)
Occupation Relation:
Who does the character work for or who works for this character, while not exactly used yet it'll effect the experiences characters will have on each other like a boss telling its employee to do work or an action. This also includes relations such as a Teacher-Student relationship.

This trio system allows for connection with several areas such as family, work and relations with other characters and have them all work together without having to sacrifice (for example) a friendship with another character because they're in the same job place. I've probably said this a million times now but I am hoping to get this game to a point where it can be universally played by a large variety of people and have that last a long time to come.

*Developer Notes
The female revamped messed up the majority of clothing, they'll have to be redone once the female model is complete. I did however leave them in for the sake of testing so they'll look weird. Fair amount of bugs around still but getting better with every release.

Those are some great models, you got there. I'd like to see some jiggle boobs/butts. as well as scalable bones for hip width, bust, the like.

Hi i've just downloaded the game and i've been fiddling with the character creation. Its really well done so far, however i think that some "legend" of the sliders are not really obvious. But it might just be me. I've also participated to your polls, cant wait to see the game growing. Good luck and keep up the good work :)

Thanks for the reply, I hope to add more clarity to sliders in the future, I find them annoying unspecific and if you want to 'reset' them you're doing guess work but they at least do their job well.
