What with you dropping that the game is over 50% done, i know that the entire game's story is already probably set in stone so i wont bother with pleas to extend it lo, but please consider this a petition to not let the world you've woven die. One of the things i love about this is that the game remains playable while hinting at a massive and intricate world past what we know. I kinda want to explore it more :P

The story is indeed set in stone, but there's still plenty left to go before it's finished! While TLS will be the primary story I intend to tell in this world, and it will be a complete experience, I do like this world and might come back to it someday for various things. But I'm very happy it engages you so much. ^-^

Version 0.27.1 is here, enjoy!

https://the-last-sovereign.blogspot.com ... lease.html

Version 0.27.0
- Final iteration of Yhilin before the war.
- Two new plot sex scenes.
- Four new Synergy Skills available if you have enough affection.
- There are new (retroactive) consequences to researching Dari's condition. Continue a save from the waiting screen to receive your proper benefits.
- New Uyae conversations around Ari-Yhilina.
- During previous Yhilin iterations, you can now summon more people to the throne room. No balance changes.
- New Eustrin mausoleum graphics thanks to Lamsey.
- Lucy now has more unclothed images during her naked scenes thanks to Bug Reporting.
- Bug Reporting is also responsible for the adorable succubus children. Expect to see more of them over time. ^-^
- Various enemy stat changes (mostly for consistency and to remove unintended exploits).
- Back in Stineford, there's now a visual effect when the door is destroyed.
- If you invested in the demon-ridden mineshaft, it now appears properly in your investment ledger.
- The shop in the outskirts can now reopen depending on investments. This is a retroactive change, but doesn't affect balance much.
- Several quest log items had been neglected, most notably Conquerer. These have been fixed, though your quest log may need refreshing.

Version 0.27.1
- Made a major change to the magical shop in the Rose District. If you fulfill the requirements, you'll now have a chance to buy Orgasmic Empire tier equipment here before the war! This one is a balance chance, but can be utilized by any save prior to the ending screen.
- Various flavor additions around Yhilin.
- The usual polishing and bugfixes.

Prepare for war, everybody! I am very busy with the launch of Kingdom of Deception, so I'll keep my notes brief. Hope you enjoy! ^-^

Altina deserves more vote love not gonna lie.

I've actually been holding back on trying any of the new releases for a while. Because I tend to restart every time to keep things fresh and adjust decisions and investments optimally.

But I'm really looking forward to when this is complete.

i must say, I do prefer sane Altina to the not so sane version, although she can have some funny lines as the crazy elf breeder, no lie there.

I don't mind replaying, what gets me is remembering, (or looking up) what choices are what I consider optimal for the last time I did a play-through. I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to get Stark or been fast forwarding through text to make a wrong choice at the end, etc, etc... And the optional bosses, I think right now the worst one for me is the Fallen Chosen, even with handcuffs on Yarra and Qum, and Orcent in his "good" orc armor, it's still a toss up if the chosen gets in one good aoe or a solid hit on whoever I have not healed yet. And yeah I usually buy 10 orc potions so I have 5 left over for that fight specifically.

Mind now, I understand they are "optional" bosses, but my OCD demands that I farm them for the experiences.... Gives them to me, all the experiences for me... Ahem.. Sorry about that.

I know exactly what you mean about the optional bosses. Me, i refuse to leave an area unless every single killable thing is dead.... I'm not a psychopath i promise, i just have OCD...

Replaying it from the start, I have noticed a few things

First, the bad news: I know you said that barring slimes (which give no $$$) you won't be able to grind. That's good and bad, as it keeps the game challenging and fun...but also means you REALLY need to be careful equipping your party. It's like *Simon gets all the good stuff and everyone else gets much lower stuff*. I've had to really think *OK, Hilstara needs an upgrade, as does Carina but I only have enough Sx for one of them...* you aren't supposed to make things this challenging! (not really this bad, but it's tough to choose who gets what with limited money)

Now the good news: I remember why I love this game so much!

If you explore a lot you can find lots of goodies, also in some area's the Slavers for Carina's quest, and Dumbass the Slaver Merchant, why can't I recall his name? You can loot stuff from walls and random boxes that don't actually look lootable.

I pretty much give Qum all of Yarra's hand-me-down whips and splurge on handcuffs for both of them, although there are times I'm tempted to give Qum a buttblug for the preserve SP, it's really more handy to have her be able to stun sometimes. Especially at the Gathering.

But it's doable, I did one game where I spend all my sx and another where I hoarded it to get the really good gear later on, and both parties seemed to do fine. Only consumable I buy in bulk is mana potions, those are really worth their with in gold, and you can usually get by with the healing potions you find for when you are in a group with no healer.

You mean Reval? I'm aware of the 12 swords you can loot, and a few chests, there's more?

If I had any major gripe, it would be that occasionally you run into things that can do two attacks a round. There's not many of those - the spiders in the abandoned house in Stineford, and the unmen/unwomen when you are getting Megail come to mind - but GEEZ these are powerful anyway and when you get hit with two attacks a round...there's a weapon at the end of the house, no clue what it is because the 3 spiders that guard it decimate me every flipping time, they seem to enjoy having 2 attacks which means at least 3 but as many as 6 crushing attacks, even with Aka trying to weaken them and silencing the poison blast...

One thing I do like - a lot - is how adorable Cumdump is. She has clearly rubbed off on Aka, as evidenced when Aka occasionally sic's Cumdump on someone for humerous dialogue and Aka saying *I'd really like to get stabby now*, playing off Cumdump's referring to Aka as *Stabby girl*. She's like the person who's not very good in a fight (her healing skills are great, but she's no fighter) but she makes everyone around her laughing from comments, either intentional or not.

There's hidden loot?! I'm an obsessive looter. I can't leave an area until everything is dead, all areas explored and anything that isn't coded down is in my inventory. HOW DARE THERE BE STUFF I HAVEN'T STOLEN! Ahem... i mean acquired legally. What's this about lootable walls?

If I could like this, I would have!!

I know there's lootable walls when Carina asks you to get rid of the slavers in Stineford, Aka mentions something about it and you can get a bunch of iron shields, and a few iron swords and iron axes. Beyond that though, I'm not aware of any...

And evildumdum, you are a *wealth redistribution specialist*

EDIT: Just spotted a Pinky and the Brain reference when Yarra and Qum go to the Gathering!

That's one of the reasons I give Qum handcuffs, she is not too useful damage-wise but if she can lust stun someone it helps.

Yeah, Reval, that's him. just run around and click on all the boxes, not many but I think 1 hss loot in each of the areas where Aka and Hilstara fight.

The daughter of the Empress seems...incredibly naïve or clueless about helping someone for the sake of just helping them. Even when I got her discipline/maturity at max, when you help out the elf with the butterfly she completely doesn't understand. Given that it's been awhile since getting her AND I had her train with Aka, I would have thought she would have started to understand charity, but I guess not. She doesn't care much for strategy sessions either... It's not a complaint so much as an observation, I guess Sierra was going for a *is clueless about the outside world* type?

I think socially naive would be a good description, basically clueless about interpersonal skills unless they relate to sex. You remember her through process on the some people live on 55 sx per day, right? She's had a pampered life even if the Empress did not always treat her like a "normal" succubus child. But yeah clueless about the outside world is about right I think.

Of course then you have Yarra who gets it alot better but still manages to mess it up by suggesting that the 2 elves with sex / relationship issues move away. She gets interpersonal relationships alot better, but still is looking at the world through sex tinted glasses. :D

Lol, yeah, it was funny seeing Yarra initially try *go with your body* not understanding the familial and social still counted for a lot. At least she understood she messed up! I also liked how there were elves willing to help Aka with her elven. Not many, but enough that she could cheer up the scared kid. Before I forget, I THOUGHT I did enough to help the poor during Aka's route to influence the Yilhini vote on the orc extermination but he said no. Helped the mage with the Inquisition threat, helped the Goddess of Magic girls, made sure to clone the scum Jade employee... but it wasn't enough. Was there something else I needed to do besides that to get his vote on that?

Lemme see I cloned the clerk in the shop with the king's pic, the clerk in the yhilin bank, and the clerk in the slums, as well as the one in the outskirts. The scummy clerk had an "accident", I also cloned the big man, and Janine's uncle. I did not clone the halfling, she cooperates on her own. Did you deny the mines to the nobles by going the concrete demon route?

I also burned a lot of Pron on the dwarf ambassador which is why my orc extermination vote did not go through, although I've only managed to open the war vaults once.

There is a way to get the zirantion(?) ambassador to not shut down your votes but I can't recall what it is at the moment, I'd have to look at the wiki again, and with the Aramite I just remind him that the unpeople were soldiers too and later he votes our way eventually.

Cloning the big man instead of killing him was the difference, I still had House Jade win the mines but with everything else it was OK.

Trying to convince them to say no to the orc extermination is a pain, you need to influence AT LEAST three people, and one of those requires 100,000 pron, either right then and there (the corrupt merchant guild guy) or earlier, but I never have the 100,000 to give to the dwarf... unless convincing the elf to say no to the Unperson mobilization is an option but I'll be darned how to convince her of that. I usually just say screw it to the war vaults, while the vaults may be useful it's too hard to manipulate things there.

Before I forget, is there any real benefit to saving a ton to maximize items? An earlier save was "save before every fight to make sure that if they drop something I'll get it" and while I had lots of things as a result, I couldn't help thinking Sierra had something in place to avoid the save scumming. Now I pretty much just save before tough fights (those damn spiders...) taking a break, or after a major thing has happened (saving the Queen from the initial coup, for example)

Several of the authors here on LoK that have pics now have these "upgrade your account" on them, (take a look at page one if you missed it), I've seen at least 3 so far that the pics have been removed and that generic message put up, all it does for me is make me irritated at photobucket, but that's for the authors to decide what they want to do.
