The Last Sovereign is an adult fantasy RPG that plunges you into the saga of a world torn between forces of lust and purity, taking sexual tropes and fleshing them out into a fully-realized world. Whether it's the details of succubus society or the economics of a world with multiple intelligent species, TLS recreates sexy fun with additional depth.

Harem System
TLS gives you the chance to build a diverse harem of beautiful women, each with their own motivations and reason for being with you... in and out of the bedroom. The affection system lets you pick favorites or find a middle path that unites everyone in a loyal harem. Now that was a neat start. I'm intrigued.

Given that the "twist" is sort of already in the prologue, does the game even have one?
Or will the game be a sort of repetition of the prologue, either in mechanics but not story, or in story as well (Now that'd be unique)?

Anyways, one minor nitpick: The combat still resulted in smashing attacks, though for a maybe odd reason:
If there's once enemy, which is currently <enter debilitating status effect here>, using an offensive ability costs more than just healing back up in the end. Though I expect that to be a non issue with later fights.

Looking forward to the next version.

When I talk about the game's twist, I mean what you learn in the prologue. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by expecting repetition, though. Mechanics-wise, you're not going to have permanent access to the regeneration and experience boosts, plus I am working on a sex points system with separate abilities from techniques/magic.

Good point. I should mention that I nerfed the difficulty because one of the main complaints I see on RPG Maker games is that they're too difficult. Also, I made all the enemies in the prologue easy to disable to encourage players to use their techniques, but later enemies won't be so easy to shut down.

While I would love to add pictures, I cannot do them myself. So while I will definitely pursue possibilities for this when/if they appear, I think promising any art would be a good way to consign this project to the list of canceled ones.

Hello, everyone, I'm back! I'm working especially hard to get a good base of content for the game, because starting next week my schedule will be much more filled.

The prologue had multiple shorter sex scenes, this time the same number of words is concentrated in fewer. This game will change up the pattern throughout - all I promise is that each update will contain a solid chunk of gameplay and new h-content.

Let me know what you think of the difficulty, but know that you're getting a healer first thing next chapter. Between a free inn and potions, I thought this section was too easy, but... let me know. Also, I'd like opinions on how aggressive you want enemy sprites to be. Right now they just amble around, but I could easily give them different behavior.

I have a head start on the third section (character images, equipment, etc), but I'll have to produce most of it under rough work conditions. If I can manage the third version before too long, I think I should be able to commit to monthly updates long term. If not, well, I'll do as much as I can.

Found a bug where after opening a chest that has 5 antidotes in it, they aren't added to your inventory (at the time of writing this, there have been 2 chests I've come across where this happens).

Though I haven't fully gotten through the current content, I do think this game looks very promising and look forward to seeing more.

I'm really sorry about that one (the same bad chest got copied to two places). I'm learning a lot about managing different dev branches of the game, so hopefully in the future my bug runs will be more effective.

Based on what you've said about chests, you're minutes from the end of the current chapter and the longest sex scene so far. ^^ I'm hard at work on v0.3.0, which should include a new chapter plus rebalanced and bug-free first chapters.

No need to apologize. Bugs happen, and I think it's safe to say that even a veteran game developer won't be able to catch absolutely all of them when doing their own bug runs.

Version 0.3.0 is coming along well - it should be done and tested by next weekend. I've also spent time filling in some vague spots on the world map and figuring out parts of the plot that were still fuzzy in my mind. There's one small element left that I don't think really makes or breaks the plot either way, so I decided to ask you guys.

New question for everyone: how do you feel about dwarves?

While I have a very clear grasp of most aspects of the game, I'm undecided about whether or not dwarves should be included. I need to decide soon, though, because my advanced worldbuilding will depend partially on their existence or non-existence. I already have elves and orcs, so maybe I should just embrace the Tolkien trifecta (haven't really thought about halflings, but if anyone really cares about them, speak up).

They're not going to be a huge part of the plot regardless, simply because I don't have many images for characters that look like dwarves (though if anyone knows of any...). But if there are even a few people who really want to see dwarves in their game and sex scenes, that can easily fit into what I have planned. Let me know!

So the tl;dr:
1) Do you want dwarf porn?
2) Link me RPG Maker compatible dwarf/halfling sprites if you know of them.

Well, thanks. But I'd really like to try to keep my bugs the harmless kind instead of problems that mess with the gameplay. If all goes well this game will become long, and I don't want people to have to replay any more than they want to.

Are you talking about the fantasy archetype dwarf, a person with a height of less than 4'10" (dwarfism), or a halfling/hobbit?

Archetypal fantasy dwarves, mainly. ^^ Halflings are a separate issue, but I don't know how well I could represent them visually (just pretend standard sprites are smaller?).

I had not considered real life dwarfism when I wrote that. I don't know, since that's something that real people have, I'd feel kind of uncomfortable just throwing it in as a fetish unless I put a lot of effort into getting it right. And I don't think people want me to go all Game of Thrones here.

Sounds good. Bearded ladies aren't really my thing though, so I'd personally skip it. As for halflings: they usually have pointed ears, and you'll likely be able to find a decent amount of content for them.

Haha, I was going to have the dwarf women be unbearded, just stockier than average humans. For example, I attached the profile shot of a character that has always looked dwarf-like to me. She'll be the main female dwarf unless I find more images that fit.

Personally, I'm a fan of various kinds of shorter/smaller fantasy races. Not sure how excited other people would be about including dwarves and/or halflings, but I would enjoy it.
Of course, the content I've seen in this game so far is also enjoyable, so it's not like not having halflings would ruin the game for me :p

Hello again, everyone! I'm back with the next chapter!

Version 0.3.0
- New chapter of the game.
- Several bugfixes/improvements in previous sections.
- Whole game rebalanced, overall easier.

Please note that if your save game went through certain versions or you messed with party formation, you might get a few graphics bugs (like Simon's sprite being replaced with another party member). This one isn't game-breaking and should get fixed by story progression, so no need to report this particular bug unless you see it while playing a new game in this version.

This was a busy and unpleasant few weeks at work, but I still finished an update I feel pretty good about. Based on this experience, I think I can commit to updates of the story roughly every month. Now that I can settle into a schedule, I've made a Patreon.

But I want to be clear: I'm going to keep making the game even if everyone ignores my account. The game isn't going to become exclusive to backers or anything like that (though they might get early or bonus releases). This is just like a tip jar, an easy way for you to throw me a few bucks if you're feeling generous.

Why should you trust me enough to give me your hard-earned cash? I don't know how to answer that question except to keep putting out the best updates I can, month after month. If in the future you ever decide you've gotten enough enjoyment out of the game that you want to help me out, I'll be grateful. Until then, everything will be business as usual.

If people have a problem with Patreon itself, let me know your payment preferences. PayPal is convenient, but I've read that getting shut down is a big problem for people making anything that could be considered pornographic (and I'd rather not lose my PayPal). If someone knows more or can direct me to a good source of information, feel free to speak up.

There's another reason I set up the Patreon: if people want to donate money specifically to contribute something to the game, there's a tier for that. While I'll maintain overall artistic control, any money you give me on that tier will go toward improving the game in a way you can request.

If you like my writing but don't like handing out money for free games, you could also take a look at my short stories. Each one is $2.99 and contains more words of sex than the entire game so far. Wet Dream Planet is most similar to the game (but scifi), while Zombie Wife is reasonably similar except it features mostly one primary couple. The others are less the same kind of writing, but if you like weird sex and fetishes that aren't in the game, maybe give them a shot. ^^

Interesting game. I like that I'm playing someone who doesn't just want to treat women as objects.

I might just be stupid and missing something but you're meant to be able to push the boulders to get past at the old ambush site in the new chapter, right? They're not moving for me.

It's quite interesting so far. The actual plot and dialogue is hilarious - normally, I'd love take every possible corruption route in these kinds of games but the way you've portrayed Simon and the usual Chosen make me want to do the exact opposite. It's refreshing. Also, if there's a spot where we can't progress further into the game, some kind of notice or indication would be great so we don't spend too much time trying to move further ahead in the plot - I'm assuming the place where the boulders don't move is where you've stopped for now. The writing is good, and though pictures would be appreciated, it's not necessary either.
