The link should work on the page now.
Also, noted about the wall glitch. It will be fixed, but do be wary that the guild and gun shop jobs are less developed. [Don't even have promotion systems yet.]

A cheat system? Maybe. It'd be nice to get money for skill books and the like so you can get their stuff easier. xD Even if they're easy to get now, it's hard to get them in time for the Day 7 event, which means most of my energy is spent working and trying to get promoted, so I can not waste their scenes by not having the appropriate books.

Sup. Just logged in (something I seldomly do) to tell you that your project is atm the one I put the most hope in.

Cheats? Do it well, and it doesn't really matter how you do them. I'd rather have you keep the game difficulty on an intuitively doable level so cheats aren't necessary in the first place.

Well what I have in mind is:
Cheats give you one thing...but take away something else.
Again, just an idea :D

Oh, and something else I'd like to note: Walking speed is too low. Give us an option to run. If those running shoes from the store do that... Make them available easier.

Hold shift to run.
On that note, Neko, you may want to change the text skip button to something other that shift.

Glad to see that I am not the only one having this problem.

I also ran into the bug with being able to milk cows multiple times if things move at the right time that you said was fixed.
It also seems that the dream sequence with Vlad is not advancing time either.
It seems that for some reason one of the chickens has disappeared on me.
The fishing spots do not seem to be respawning. This along with the missing chicken is making leveling alchemy pretty difficult.
It seems that the hospital orgy scene loops once it is activated. By that I mean that every time I enter the room the scene triggers again.
There are several pass-ability issues. Off the top of my head the roof on the bar uses a floor tile so you can walk through it and it seems the tile you used for the rug in Mint's house is impassable so you cannot talk to anyone, though it looks like there is nothing important there right now.

I can confirm the disappearing chicken.

As for the hospital orgy: I seem to lack the necessary stats with Elle, and am always thrown out.
Thus, I used it as a quick travel option to home :D

On that matter, I'd love to see an item similar to the pager which teleports you to your bed. Maybe a watch?

That is what I am referring to. I recall Neko saying that that is all there is to the scene right now but I doubt that it should repeat like that.

Neko, since you are mainly posting download links to the game on your blog you may want to add a link to your blog in the first post and maybe even your signature so that people will not have to go searching for the link so that they can download the game.
Can I also request that you make a download that does not include the rtp as well. Having the rtp included makes the file allot larger and makes downloading take a very long time. I would be incredibly grateful if you could offer a download without the rtp to make things easier for people like me that already have the rtp installed on their computer. This game is really interesting, even though I am still trying to figure allot of it out, and would really hate for this to cause problems with my enjoyment or your game.

Wow, I found out WHY it was doing that...The event did have a 'switch off' at the end, but I had overlooked the event that turns it on. Needless to say, it would keep turning it back on without a value check for it. This has been fixed.
But yes, other than Elle being back there with 2 dialogue strings, that is all there is to this event so far.

Darthan Wrote:Hold shift to run.

Alright, I can look into that. However, to avoid any 'this is annoying' reactions to the button I choose, do you have any preferable suggestions? [Others can answer, just be aware of keys that are already in use...]

Unfortunately, I was expecting it to not be fixed...It seemed to work on my end, but I suppose it wasn't. Well, I will have to make the animals stationary...

Darthan Wrote: It seems that for some reason one of the chickens has disappeared on me.

I think this might be related to the cow glitch in that it's a 'move at the right timing' one...I can't seem to find any other reasonable explanation for this, so lets see if this happens when they are stationary.

Darthan Wrote: The fishing spots do not seem to be respawning. This along with the missing chicken is making leveling alchemy pretty difficult.

The respawn time for fish is 7.5 minutes, but looking into it now, this ....seems like overkill. I have lowered the respawn time to 4 minutes.

I changed the roof tiles, so this should no longer be an issue in the next release.
Yes, it's pretty empty so far, but I made the carpet passable anyways now.

With the last few releases, I have been compressing the data into encrypted files, is there something else I am missing to avoid including the rtp files?

When you select Compress Game Data in the dialog box that comes up there should be two check boxes. One is Create Encrypted Archive and the other is Include RTP Data. Make sure that the Create Encrypted Archive is checked, this is what encrypts your game file, and that the Include RTP Data is unchecked, this is what adds the rtp data to your file. If you do not have that option checked then you somehow got the RGSS301.dll file added to your project file and should remove it, that file is a compressed version of the rtp that VX Ace uses.

So after much testing and re-testing....It appears the Houdini chicken glitch is persistent, and is not a result of movement....This will take some effort to fix...

That must be it then, because so far I only have it checked for encrypted....Let me go look around in the files...

Aaaaaaaaaand there it is. So just remove it from the game files only then?

Just take it out of the project folder. When you compress the game data it compresses everything in the project folder, even if it isn't used. If you want to include the rtp data, for people that don't have it installed, check the Include RTP Data when compressing. When you do that it adds the compressed rtp file to the compressed game data and tells the game to look for it in the file. If you do decide to have a download with the rtp included it is best to have two download, on with and one without the rtp. I can't tell you how many games I have downloaded that the creator only made an rtp included option because they didn't want to field dll error questions. When you have that file included in several games it starts to really eat into your hard drive space.

I propose a) allowing the player to map the keys themselves (like the Pokemon Hentai version does, for example) or b) providing two different key layouts which are easily usable with one hand (for, you know, reasons. Peach's untold tale or whatever it's called does that). If you go this route, make one with WASD (left handed) and one with the arrow keys (right handed). Keep in mind that people may have different keyboard layouts. (I, for one, HATE when developers forget that not everyone's y key is in the bottom left corner... ;)).

Hmmmm....Yes, that would save time and effort for most of us...Great suggestion!

To make it even more convenient, add a link to your blog and to this thread ;)

So after much testing and re-testing....It appears the Houdini chicken glitch is persistent, and is not a result of movement....This will take some effort to fix...

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present:

THE HOUDINI CHICKEN (GLITCH)!!

Oh, that makes sense. Got it! I removed it from the game folder, so it should be quicker to obtain. Also, in that case, for separate downloads, could I just put a link up to the RGSS301.dll file by itself, or is it not a file that stays static during game changes?

The RGSS301.dll is a compressed version of the rpgmaker base rtp so it always stays the same. Simply dropping the file into the folder with the game if you do not have the rtp installed does not always work though. If you do not want to make two separate downloads you are better off linking to the rtp and telling people that in order to run the game they will need it installed. The best link to use in that case would be http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages, since it is the official rpgmaker page and since you are using Ace there is no need to make sure they are downloading the correct rtp since the page defaults to the Ace rtp since it is the newest system.

I think I will just go with 2 separate downloads, just to minimize anything going wrong.

Thank you for the help, by the way!

No problem, I have learned allot about the different RPGMaker engines by playing around with them and looking at what other people have done. Never actually finished anything because I can't seem to stick with one idea, but if you ever need any help figuring something out let me know, I will help if I can.
