Although I am going to add a greater variety of gear in 4m2. Not tier 3 equipment, but more alternative gear. We're also talking of adding some unique gear for each slave, but that might be a few months from now still.

It looks like I was one of the creators chosen to beta the new option to charge when someone pledges, rather than waiting for the 1st of the month. The huge benefit to that is near instant gratification. As soon as your payment gets processed you'll get access to the tier rewards instead of having to wait. Hopefully this will also eliminate the 'I pledged, where's my rewards' messages as well!

4m2 is coming along very well. I have the main arc 95% written, 100% coded and imaged. Once the proofs on the writing get down I can get that finalized. Will have a lot of other things to do as well. An old placeholder character's getting a full backstory and questline this time around, Fiona will be capturable (although it will not be cheap) as well as the Brothel opening up with some limited content for it. Hiro's sidequest is also sounding very cool.

Although yesterday was one of those days that seemed like every time I got to work something came up to distract me. Ralph understands....

I remember playing this game about a year ago and how I couldn't stop playing it because how awesome it was. But I also remember how sad I was once I reached the end of content and I was like: "Noooooo!"
So I'm very glad that you are remaking the game, I didn't played it yet but how long will it keep you until this version is at the same state as the old version?

So there's two answers to that question:
1. Chapter 4 has the player saving Lesser Corsix (Western Corsix in v1). Chapter 5 will involve what happens in Corsix and Chapter 6 is recovering from the events in chapter 5.
2. v2 has a lot of content that v1 did not in the first 4 chapters. All of the content has been rewritten and improved significantly imo. It should feel like a different, better game than v1 did. There's also a lot of additional content added to v2 in the first 4 chapters that was never in v1. Huge numbers of sidequests adding to the breadth of the world that v1 barely hinted at and a lot more character depth. A good handful of new characters as well.

If you enjoyed the first version, I think that there's enough new things to do in v2 to make it worth another playthrough. It might feel similar, but not a repeat of something you've done before.

After finally finding some time to try and check this out, here's what happening:

-I'm interactinng with Terra, but I get her usual generic response. Just to clarify what's going on, I already finished this particular Archeology quest in v2c3m2.1, even up to both scenes which involved Terra and Phoebe individually. So when this happened after loading this save into the v2c4m0.3 and getting this trigger, I tried going all the way back to the hole where the Lizard men came through, and indeed, the diamond thingy that seals the hole is in place already. I'm just speculating, but I think that when the version reset happened, it triggered that whole quest again, but since the map was already altered due to Terra sealing the hole in my v2c3m2 save, it can't find the trigger for the 4 battles with the lizardmen, hence not allowing me to trigger the event with Terra again, also therefore not allowing me to trigger the end of the quest with Phoebe.

-I think this is related to the one above for some reason.

-Damn How about the monster drop part Won't you at least allow that one

Alright, the code is all in place for the brothel and I like it's implementation far better than in version 1. Should be a bit more interactive and obvious without the level demands of before. Your whores will get a customer wave every 5 battles. There will be another handful of scenes for it. You'll have to convince Samantha/Noemi if you want them to whore (3 scenes total) and there will be a handful of small whoring scenes in 4m2. Noemi, Phoebe and Naitay will all get one. Samantha and Terra most likely will. I might add in a few more. They'll be 2-3 pages scenes instead of the 6-10 page length of most full scenes, 2-3 images instead of 7-12.

But it needs a name!
What I've done is create an option to select between two different names. I'm going to use the suggestions from Patrons but have two different polls, one Patron one public and those will be the two options for your brothel's name.

Just wanted to let you know that the character / conditional reset was a great idea, I had no idea what it would be used for since I had never been stuck with only one party member, but this last playthrough looking for more (different) replays I hit a spot where the hero was stuck in the 2nd formation slot. That reset saved me alot of frustration I think.

Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see what the Patreons are playing....

-There is yet another barrier blocking your path to remove it. You'll have to find a way to strengthen Terra to get past it.
-In doing so, you will capture another slave, one with a mysterious past that she has had taken from her. Unlocking it will grant her great power, but at great risk.
-A new questline from the Celeean Swords and a new slave to add to your harem.
-Fiona will have another quest for you, and her arrogance and greed could make her vulnerable to ones whose pockets are deep enough.
-The repairs on your brothel have finally been completed, letting you open it for business. Some slaves may require 'convincing' in order to serve there.
-Scenes for Phoebe/Noemi, Terra, Kathleen, Fiona and Cindy, plus a handful of brothel scenes.

When I went onto Patreon and switched to monthly releases, I decided to switch between major releases (main storyline progression) and minor releases (side quests and non-plot slaves). This was mostly done as I knew I couldn’t do a major every month and the minors gave me a chance to keep new content coming while simultaneously giving me the time to rewrite/code the old content.

Generally, we’ve been doing a major followed by two minors over time. Initially, this was done to buy me time more than anything else. As I’ve been developing the minor quests, something interesting happened. I found that I really enjoyed adding some breadth to the world. Exploring new territories, learning about the history of the world and getting to know the existing cast better. And of course, finding and enslaving new women.

As we go into Chapter 5 we’re going to be hitting an on-rails section. Some fairly big things will be happening with the plot and to make sure that flows properly and makes sense, I have to control the pacing. Once we hit that, we’re probably going to be looking at roughly 4 months of on-rails as we go through two months of Corsix and then 2 months dealing with the aftermath of what happens there. While there will be some new content there (Kathleen/Fiona mostly) most of it will be retreads of v1 content. And you won’t get back to Celee for months.

So the question is: Where to go next? I want to know what you all think. Would you enjoy starting the on-rails section, knowing that it’s going to last a few months, or should there be a 4m3 and explore some of the new content more? I definitely have more stories to tell about Fiona, Naitay, and Joan that really won’t get told for quite a while without a 4m3.

The next chapter will be familiar for the most part, but I'm loving the new content being added. But - what's important is that you do what you feel is right and what you're having fun doing. I mean, I generally don't like on-rails stuff that much to begin with, so I'm all for fleshing out the rest of the stories you have concerning the sidequests etc.

Most of the time I kinda shrug at the main quest, in any vidyagame.

...This one isn't much different.
Can't say I care about what's happening back home that much, curse, no curse, what happens to the king, the lands back there, etc.
Gathering a harem and running the brothel hold my interest.

I sealed off the lizard people in the cave under castra corsix. I saved lesser corsix(did that first). After talking to terra after sealing the underground path, I got that scene and talked to pheobe and she said something to the extent of "stares at you expectantly as if waiting for a reward". Now she's just in a casual dialogue loop. I am yet to see noemi after saving lesser corsix when walking out of my bedroom and can't take her to the cheli in western badlands as a result.

Any ideas?

Yes. I packed the 4m1 walkthough into the 4m0 release. Noemi's part can't be completed you get 4m1. Fortunately, the public release of 4m1 is tomorrow! (patrons have been playing with her for a few weeks now)

So I downloaded the new version and for some reason when I am in lesser corsix mines, the game always crashes after i enter the northern part of the mines and get into a battle(the area after one of your team members gets rekt by the tu-thum and the eastern section gets cleared out). No matter what, whenever I enter the area and get into the first fight, the game just crashes. 5/5 times I tried, crash.

Is Alena a patreon only follower? I escorted her past the blockade but as of yet she has not made it back to Casa Costra, unless I'm missing a trigger somewhere. Of course this is from the guy that was cursing worse then a sailor b/c I thought I got the wrong download, when in fact I had just not slept in the officer's quarters at the Casa to cause Noemi to appear yet.

Fortunately I figured that out before posting here.

I enjoyed the new content very muchly, although perhaps I skipped too much text with the inn keeper, visiting his brother in the item shop just did not enter my mind, so I had to use the walk through there, fortunetly I stumbled through the blockcade serdipidiously. ( spelling on that? )
