→Set up another meeting with Sis.
>Since there seems to be so little guard presence, Mana descends down the hidden staircase again. She approaches the Neko cage again, and speaks to the most coherent of the three cats. As Mana begins to ask how to get hold of Sis, the Neko interrupts her: “Don’t worry, hun. We’ll get out the message that you wanna see her. Just wait till tonight; she’ll give ya a little visit.~”
Mana returns to the library, minorly startling one of the younger guards as she exits the secret staircase. To her benefit, he did not notice exactly where she had come from, allowing her to pass off the event as the test of this guards alertness.
Mana leaves the mansion under the pretense of snooping around town for the culprit and getting some much needed rest.
When she gets back to town, she visits Ano and gives him a light quizzing about the town’s slaving laws.
“What an unusual subject! If you are considering it as a means of research, don’t think about it; I would not have it!” Mana quickly reassures Ano that that is not the case. Relieved, Ano continues: “I am not a fan of such practice, to be sure! And I am supported by town legislature in that aspect. Slaves are not allowed in any aspect for as long as you are being counted in the town census. Traders come through from time to time with them, but they can’t be traded or sold here!”
Mana thanks Ano and tells him that she’s going to go get some rest. He cheerily shoo’s her away, encouraging her to go get rested up.
She heads to the fiendish flagon and pays for her room. She has a bit of small talk with Heikya. At one point, the clever Goblin woman pries Mana for information on the mansion case without her notice, and Mana gives up a little before she can stop herself.
“Huhuhuhu~ So the thief is a little lady of your ilk.~” She laughs “ Seems like ya have some business with ‘er before ya send her away. I’ll make sure not to call the guards on any sneaky lookin’ cats for the time bein’.”
Mana waits at the bar, keeping an eye out for Sis. After a while, her fatigue wins, and she goes to the room she had reserved . She falls fast asleep.
She’s abruptly awakened by the feeling of her covers being pulled off quickly.

Mana recoils quickly to see Sis giggling at her bedside.
”Wanted to see me, kitten?” she coos.

Mana recovers then re-covers. She explains that she’s going to inform the guard captain of the trade in the owners basement tomorrow. Sis seems a little saddened by this announcement until Mana includes the second part of her plan: “Once everyone is shackled up, the more heavily guarded areas will be less so, right? You can go in and get the super valuable stuff.”
Sis brightens up a bit and gives a sly smile. “Not bad, kitten. I like it.” She stands up and heads towards the door. As she exits, she calls back: “I’ll keep an eye out… speaking of eye out: nice pair Kitten~”
Mana blushes furiously as Sis slips through the door. “The weather here is too cold at night!”
→Report the Mansion owner through Ano.
>The next morning, Mana returns to Ano and explains the situation (with the exception of the parts with Sis). Ano bursts out in a fit of outrage!
“I do not believe this! Come Mana! We are dealing with this immediately! Etim! Mind the tower!” Ano shouts as he hurriedly puts on his town coat.
Mana and Ano enter the office of Stansengate’s guard captain. Mana finds a familiar face within. The man behind the desk had greeted her at the town gates days before; a cloak hanging on a hook behind him bearing an embroidered golden falcon. He gives her a friendly smile before Ano launches into reporting the infringement of the Mansion owner. (
Golden Falcon Emblem removed)
Once hearing the initial report, the captain calls in a cloaked creature that stands in behind the desk with him. He introduces the creature as Sibin, an investigator that has been investigating claims of trafficking through that mansion. “Thankss for the help, misss kitty. I’ve been looking for that sstair casse for quite a while. Curiouss how you found it sso quickly.” He chuckles.

>They head to the mansion with a small regiment of the town guards, arresting the owner and all presumed involved in the trafficking of slaves.
As the town guards lead away prisoners and escort the now freed slaves towards town, Mana spots a flash of white fur fleeing around the corner of a building. She gives a brief smile noticed by the neko slaves from before.
“She’ll come see you in the next couple of days, hun.” She gives a little wink. “If you need to see her again, come find me. I’ll be around town.”
The guard captain thanks Mana for her unwitting assistance in the matter and hands her a small pouch with 50 gold. “I know it’s not near what you were promised, young lady, but consider this thanks from Stansengate.” (

→Buy a blackjack.
>Considering all that she had experienced during this mission, Mana takes some of her new money and immediately goes and buys a blackjack! They aren’t super useful in a legitimate fight, but they certainly do what they’re made for: knocking out unsuspecting scrubs! IT takes some serious skulking around to find though, most weapons dealers do not deal in that kind of arms, and the one seller she finds is a bit pricey (
