i agree with A H, if you want to get full stuff on the game, look at the blog, seriously and i dont care if its "critisism" it was rude and if you dont like me being rude then i dont care, i am who i am :D, there IS no virus i dont know what your sources are but there wrong, get your facts stright before you go all bitching about voice acting everyone knew and i said 5 times in the blog and on the posts, if you dont go on the blog you sure as hell have been reading the posts, if not thats your fault.

I didn't try to be insulting, that's one of the things I tried most not to do. I don't know what was insulting. I don't know how you read it, emotion doesn't translate well through text. So I have a feeling you read it in a different voice than I did. My source for the info on virus lurking is me. After going on a blogspot.com location. Noticed computer acting strange, so I ran norton and it cleared out a virus. This is strange cause I do virus scan every day. And I didn't go on any other strange sites besides it. Youtube Google those two sites besides it.

I always go to the teams blog and so far not a single virus attack from it. I'm using Eset Smart Security 4 and it would notify me whenever there is a virus attack from various sites & it would automatically block it. My laptop is clean & working fine so far. If you still think it is dangerous to go to blogspot then so be it. If you want me to upload the current updates here or PM you from the blog just ask. Next thing, let's just stop being concerned about catgirl64's bad voice acting. She said she would do better in the next update then let's leave it that way & stop complaining. What if you put yourself in her place & start voice acting for the 1st time? It'll suck but after some practice you'll b perfect & that's what she's doing. I might try sending a few voice acting samples of mine to Z-Fied for the NPC's but the prob is i can't PM him yet since im a new member. Now we have good news & bad news. The bad news is most of the team's courses have started so their progress would be slow with less frequent updates & the good news that the whole team is back on track. Pengirl & ANoob were away for quite sometime but now we're so happy to see them again :D .

Well I probably wouldn't post it until it was perfect.... Also, I didn't say it was bad. I said it needs work-Oh shit. Kinda means the same thing.. Hm.... Anyway back to killing in Dawn of War 2. I'm not complaining, also one thing I apologized for which was calling the game tedious. Mainly the glitches that piss me off.

Well, for starters maybe Z field can remove the DL links form this forum, so people would actually have to go to the blog to get the game, at least, that will raise the chances of ppl reading the entries (I guess).

You said that her voice acting was bad, no harm done there yet, then you said "it's called voice acting for a reason", the most common interpretation for this statement will be this: you are saying that she doesn't know what voice acting is (which in turn, may be right) but you hadn't to rub it on her face, also, one would think that you do know what it is, but the most probable scenario is that you don't, so, that makes you seem like you are just bullying, you still with me?, well let's continue, after saying that, most readers will think you are somehow pissed about this, so when you "offered" to help was the last drop, because after you initial comment this last statement, will be most likely be interpreted as that you are so annoyed form her voice that you will best take her out the way and do it yourself, so, after reading all this, it's no wonder one would get mad at you.

I hope i have made my point clear, this will be my last comment on the matter, I don't want to see anymore fighting.

PD. I haven't been attacked by viruses either.

Firstly, I want to say that this game is excellent, even in such an early stage and to thank all of those responsible for working on this.

Secondly, I have a suggestion that I hope might help to make things easier for the sprite creations. Would it be possible to use renders from a 3D program, (such as Maya/3DS/Poser/Daz Studio/etc,) to form as the basis of a sprite/animation?

For example, say a sprite animation needs 10 different poses to make a smooth transition from a standing pose to a crouching one. you could then use the 3D program to create a render of female model starting with the standing position and then create a new render for each change in pose until you get to the final crouched position.

This would result in 10 different images, which could then be imported into Paintshop Pro/Photoshop/GIMP/etc.

For each image, you could add a new layer and "draw" the sprite over the "base" layer that has the rendered image and then save the "drawn" layer to a new file, or delete the layer with the rendered image. Granted, you would still need to develop the details in the sprite, it might save some time with the positions.

Since I have never created any sprites, I am not sure if this would work or if it adds too much work to be viable.

Anyway, keep up the great work. I am looking forward to see any how your project turns out.

I dunno if it's been said before, but I've played the demo so far, and one thing I'd like to see different, would be an actual health meter, as opposed to the meter. Also, perhaps when a zombie attacks you it gets into a struggle like from RE5, and if you fail that, then you go into the sex one? Perhaps it's a bit too much, but hey, I think it's a good idea.

an actual health meter is not origonal residnet evil, were going with the origonals, not the peices of shit crazy mexican throwing axes and black people kinda resident evils.

I'm just saying that as a reference, y'know? I love the game, it's just kinda hard to determine what your health is at though.

I'll have to talk it through with FAPCOM. It could be more work than he does at the moment though.

@Zodiark

What cat meant is, we are going with the original resident evil style of health display, which is only showing your status.

Also, a struggle like from RE5? Is that not what there is at the moment... I'm pretty sure it is.

So i played a game died then played mercs and died. said quit at the game over screen and i believe it played LOK logo animation and i got this error.

Also what is with you people. While i have to say Cat's voice acting isn't perfect it's not as bad as some of you make it out to be.
I think i was hear some back ground noise in the record but it wasn't that bad. I bet tweaking the files with some software would help.

I reserve judgement until i hear her say more than 5 words in a line.

Yeah, that bug has been brought up before, but the solution is still being elusive. I'll get there.

Also, I don't see problems with the voice acting, the main "background noise" is the breathing, because she wanted to add some heavy breathing to it. And yeah, I have tweaked them with software already.

Also, for those of you that want that bar HUD, you're in luck, just finished it off, so it'll be ready for next update!

So i have to admit that i didn't really have a second thought about the breathing and that could be bad or good.

I would personally have tried adding a sound clip of heavy exhaling but there's nothing saying you guy didn't try that or if it would've been better.

im just throwing some ideas out there if you want to use them i love the game over screen art for when you get raped and the dialog that goes with it, but i haven't seen any others yet for dying by virus or bites or other forms of deaths with resident evil you might get people who are into guro or futa type of stuff so what i was thinking is that there could be a game over artwork for each death kinda like in fairy fighting but with the dialog there could be different sayings like example

death scene zombie rape submit "oh yes keep going i can't fight it anymore"
death virus "uuugghhh" or "cock need more cock".
death dog submit "fuck me fuck me fuck me oooohhh im cumming"
death bitten " uuugghhh"
death falling "ahhhh" *bone crack*
death electrocution "ahhhzzzzahhhzzz" *falls down zapping noise*

and other noises for other enemies i do really like cats voice ya it could need improvements but its really sexy too hear well i hope the update comes soon :D

Okay, I've been informed that explicit guro is not allowed on this forums, not that it's something I'm doing anyway. However, I'll see about very light guro (e.g. blood, maybe some slight damage) however I won't be doing guts everywhere, eyeballs hanging out, brain exposed, etc. etc. because I don't find it at all arousing and I'm sure whoever is drawing the GO images for me doesn't either.

For the virus one I'm sure we could do a zombie character drawing, however as stated above no guro.

In response to the game over dialogue, I did actually get cat to record some "zombie" dialogue, but that'll need to be re-done. I also need to add in the rest of the dialogue for the intro scene and cutscenes.

Also, there is a voice clip for electrocution death. Have you died due to overloading the generator? ... Biting as well. If you mean on the game over screen, I can make it so it doesn't play when you first die to it, and just make it go to the game over screen straight away, then play the clip.

I have played your game so far and REALLY like it. My only question is this : is there a Sandbox / Inf Life code to help with testing and finding of any bugs and just for fun?

Thank you and Im sorry if its been posted before if so can you point me to the proper page if a code for Inf life / sandbox mode can be found.

UPDATE! 17th September 2011 (see bottom of first post or changelog for details.)

This update fixes a few of the bugs that you've been complaining about in the previous version (the ammo one, teleporting one, etc.) however, I have not been able to get rid of the mercenaries bug, so you will still experience that when playing in the Mercs. You may also get the loading bug still, I am constantly trying to fix this.

There are also lots of additions, from the end of Chapter 1 (still have some extra bits to put in...) to a new HUD style!

NOTE: To use the new HUD, you have to change the style in the Graphic Options, and remember to SAVE YOUR CHANGES, OTHERWISE IT WILL REVERT!

Classic = No HUD, original REs

Modern = Circle Bar HUD, modern REs

Progeny = same as previous versions

Alright. Had a chance to mess around with the game. I've run into some bugs, so i figure i'll post what i've found.

1) The zombie in the alley way just before the car can spaz out and get stuck in a epileptic lunge fest if he tries to attack near the door.
2) Upon saving in-game, the screen went black. I had to hit the Z key a few times, then the back button to fix it.
3) After entering boss area, I realized my virus gauge was too high for me to have fun with the zombies, so i tried to go back to "ease some stress". Met with black screen after leaving Boss room; no ability to input commands. Sound was still going
4?) Not sure if bug, but two green herbs don't heal 50%. Probably a design choice.
5) After healing with two green herbs and leaving the area i was in, i "took damage" once the load was done (bar went red to indicate taking damage). No actual damage was incurred, but it was concerning.

Keep up the good work. Might be because it's two in the morning (:p) but Cat's acting seems to have gotten better. Did you switch the samples around? Seems it's doing Cat more justice now.
