I agree with this wholeheartedly. I love the idea of certain events having very specific triggers, but there need to be concrete hints in the game about what the triggers are. For example, with hiding in the bathroom, maybe have him wake up and have to pee just before the trigger, with an option to just sleep through it and go in the morning. Or, maybe he hears his mom downstairs, sneaks down to check it out, and overhears her talking to herself about which vegetable might be the most pleasurable... then he hides in the bathroom when she turns around.

Just randomly stumbling through the game can be frustrating, I know personally I hate feeling like I'm missing out on something just because I don't know how to trigger it. At least point me in the right direction.

All that said, this is one of the most fun demos I've played in a very long time and I look forward to the next update!

This may have already been asked but what is the name of the video or at least what you searched into google to get the clips for bunny wild?

Hello world !

So, my job calm down a little so i was able to work again on UxL.
I've made a lots of tough about it, and i start to change a lot of things.

In fact, i'll change the engine for UxL2. Then, i want to make a top quality game with UxL1 and try my best with RPGmaker before starting with something new.

First thing you must know, your old saves won't work on the next update. This was the price for changing the way the game is. So, even if i said no on the beginning, i can't do it otherwise. Sorry about that.

But, there should be no more problem on playing this game on old computer.

Let's talk about the changes:

- Now, there will be an overall map. The player will have to find new locations by talking to people and resolve quest/case.

- The time won't run automaticaly but each time you make a "big" action (like Persona 4).
- You'll start the game on 5 september and with the school schedule.
- I changed the quest system with something more fun and more adult.
- I changed the story to introduce the "change gender system" early.
- There will be more encounter with boss like Mammon (the boss on the school for those who played the first demo) but each time, there will be a strategie game to escape from them.
- I'll introduce some game over with those boss.
- There will be now a "wild tournament" with the cards battle system with more rewards.

About the "when it will comes out", i can only say "when it's done". Again thx for your patience ;)

That sounds great, even with the changes. I never managed to finish the demo due to the game always crashing as I tried to enter the sewer, but I did start work on looking for spelling mistakes and the like. I saw on your blog that you didn't mind the idea of a little help with spelling, which to be honest isn't that bad in the game just small parts here and there that could do with a little polish.
I am in no way saying that should be the priority and I am eagerly awaiting any news on how your project is going, keep up the good work.

I posted this on the UrbanXLife Blog too but thought I would post here as well. I had a save issue with it telling me that the the $mac... file is missing. My guess it it is just a temp file somewhere that was deleted. Found a way around this though.

Create a new folder. Sort your saves by oldest to newest. Move each save starting with your newest in to the new folder. After you move a save try to open up your continue and load a save. If it opens you have found the bad save and if not continue. Once you get the problem save move all the other saves back in to the directory and see if you can open it since there may be more than one.

Once you find the save(s) that are causing the problem you can recover them by going in to the game and save over those slots. Now go to the main menu and hit continue. Move one of your problem save(s) back in to the game directory and load up that slot. The game will still crash if you try to open up the continue menu but since you are already have the load menu open you can basically trick the game in to loading your save. Now you can load up your game and once loaded immediately save over that slot. Repeat if you have more than one save you need.

Tried to explain this so it is easy to understand not sure I succeeded. :P At any rate here is a link to my bad save if you want to have a look at it and see if you get the same result since as I said this happened to me in the V0.1a08 version.

First of all, thx for the 100000 hits !

And here's some news.

- I finished the primary school schedule.
- I finished the 3 first level of the inner soul. 17 more to go... These levels are require to gain the possibility to gain more attractive power and to change gender.
- 3 more selfmade animations are on the pipe.

I start to remove all the things that aren't really made by me. That goes for the graphics, but also for the music. I changed all the songs for something more "funky" and without any copyright. So, if you're a musician and you feel like sharing, you're welcome.

A word about the gameplay.
Each day is now divised in 5 (morning / noon / afternoon / evening / night). For each part, you'll have some way to advance to the next time slot. For example, at the begining of the game and on the morning you'll only be able to go to school. But as the game advance, you'll be able to skipp class and gain more freedom and possibility.
These possibility would increase significantly once you gain the possibility to change your gender.

You'll have 4 years to finish the main story. If you don't, then you'll be throw back to your first day in school, and then start again the game but with all the archievement you may have gained in the first 4 years.

What next?
- I have to finish the inner soul schedule first (it means the main story). Now that won't be too hard, just to think about some new puzzles room.

- I started the highschool schedule and i finished the uniform (chipset/charset and faceset (the uniform only, not the figures off the girls and boys there). Once i'll finish this schedule, the game will be near to be finished. (in terms of content).

What else... i made a cellphone and a computer device to gain the possibility to watch again the pics and anims you'll unlock.

Btw, i have remade all the game with a new core and engine. So again, your old saves won't work on the next version BUT you won't have all those bugs and crash. I test this one with a P2 and it worked fine so everyone should be ok running the next version.
It means it's useless to report bugs now until the next version comes out. But thank again for all of you who report those bugs before, it was really a big help to improve the way to make this game.

This game still makes no real sense to me. The fact that the text dialogue needs substantial work is one thing that helps in its not making sense. BTW, I think there might be a bug, the time clock thing does not seem to appear except for after you finish a job, and then it vanishes quickly.

And yes, big glaring hints for some of the very specific trigger events would be nice.

I heard that before, that was one more reason to redo the game in a more logical way. I've got a slave now who check all my writing so it should be more interesting to follow the story.

big question, is Urban xLife V0.2a01 is now 2nd district? will the character be able to impregnate some women ingame?

Yeah, there will be 2 district in the next version. I'll try to put all the event/fetish i had in mind within these two.
I don't know yet when i'll trigger all the gender form quest. I have done some of them for testing but didn't put them on the timeline yet except the first one.
I have to think about it while completing the "Inner soul" levels (that's where you gain more skills and gender form).
Plus i have to finish some charadesign related to these genders skills.

And yeah in the 2nd district you can start to build your appart and your harem too. But i don't know yet if i gather all in the same place or if i'll do one place do build with events per gender. I'll think about it in the next few days.

I am always happy to help with projects I am interested in, this being one of them. If your slave editor is struggling, I would not mind helping at all! There are not enough good gender bender/gender swap games out there. Hell, I am surprised I have yet to stumble across a Ranma 1/2 h-game yet!

Thank you wootch for keeping us in the loop. Glad to hear you have someone helping with the writing for you. As eager as I am for the next release don't rush yourself, as I'd rather wait for a good piece of work, than for you to burn yourself out and release less than what you are capable of. Good luck.

The v0.2a01 isn't ready for download, it's being developed (I too got excited and didn't read it right) if you are referring to older versions it seems the links for them are no longer posted. Feel free to keep looking as I may have missed them.

As i'm working actually on the heroine personnality, i was thinking i can make you participate in her creation.
Well not really about her story, but more about her look.

So, first of all let me introduce you to the first chick you'll meet on the game:

Bridget Soljet, the Mom of the first hero
Sybille Soljet, the sister of the first hero
Ms. Jamming, the teacher
and Nurse Dounie.

As you can see, even if the base is quite the same, i can provide an important diversity on the look of the characters.

So here's the questions for you. Imagine you're playing a 17 yo girl. Now tell me how you would prefer her:
hair / skin /eyes colours ?

Personality? Well, I think it would be best if Pieo in girl form would be the same as if he were a boy! Meaning a mischievous pervert. As for hair, skin, and eye colors, once again, Pieos, but girly-fied, such has longer hair, maybe more softer/plumper skin, and same eyecolor. My other thought would be that Pieo takes the form of his idealized woman, and gets big boobs, plump ass, blue eyes, and blond hair. I am using CoC's bimbo-brew as a sort of fundamental layout for the second suggestion.

Too summarize, Girl transformation 1 is for if Pieo just transforms into a girl, which means he just becomes girly.
Girl transformation 2 is for if Pieo transforms into his ideal girl, which means he becomes a bimbo, maybe without the personality change though.

I think that whatever fits your story more is better.

Well i've made a lots of change on the main story, and now Peio won't transform into other characters. It's... something else.
It's kind of complicated to talk about this without spoiling the story, but you can consider the other personnality as different characters.
