Another Dark Night is an animation/game series where you learn the stories of four girls trapped in a dark world.
The monsters of this world will be based on stories, folk tales, legends and cryptids throughout history.

The format of "short animation+game will be the same for each of the other girls that live in the house as well.

These are the girls


This first scene contains nothing sexual but the following game will. It will be a pretty basic point and click
choose your own story/investigation game where you play the roll of Doll, the goth that needs to learn how to
handle her fear.

I know this is a pretty rough animation so far but I would love any type of feedback.

What do you think of the art style?
Do you want to see more like this?

This is just a little look behind the scenes at what I'm working on.
Its obviously not the full game, just a test of the movement controls and wall detection.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd love to read them in the comments.

First update:

Just a short loop of Doll, enjoy.

Nice work. Not for me, but even so nicely done.
I do want to point out thou that all your lines seems to have some type of problem when you pan or when they move, did you use pure vector graphics or did you import bitmaps?
The reason I am asking is that the tearing effect on the lines made me feel a bit uncomfterble, kinda like motion sickness :/ if you can somehow get rid of that I bet you will find several fans of your work.

That was really interesting, I'd definitely like to see more. I'm a huge fan of point-and-click games.
Even though the art style is rather simple, I really dig how it looks and the way you've animated it.

And the tearing or whatever Duioz is talking about doesn't seem to bother me.

I did use all vector graphics. I'm not quite sure what you meant by tearing effect but I'll work on making it more smooth and easier on the eyes.

I do agree on the line work though, it does need to be a bit cleaner, but the art style itself is enjoyably unique.

I''ll touch up the lines for sure before I upload the full intro again.

Looking great so far! I love the art style and character designs, and honestly I kinda dig the jaggedy linework; it gives it a sort of shaky, horror-like vibe, if that makes sense.

Matters of personal taste aside, the scene's looking nice, although it might flow better if the pause after the full insertion was a bit shorter or had something else going on to stop it from being static - maybe some tongue movement? Overall, a fantastic start and I'm looking forward to what else you've got in store!

What kind of adult content are you planning to include, or are we going to have to wait and see?

Nice buttons, ye should give her some nipples as opposed to just circles when the top is off. Ye might have to play around with it a bit, but trust me, it'll be worth it. Also, I went back through the demo video, when ye have a hard line inverting the colors like that for showing light and shadows, match up the color inversion to the line, it'll be more appealing to the eye.

I totally agree, I've had both of those thoughts. I've been experimenting with the finer details of the art style like the lines and ammount of anchor points. I'm sure I'll find the balance soon, especially with all this constructive feedback.

I am working on adding more frames all around; I can see where you're coming from about it being static at full insertion. I'm thinking of adding more chest and hand movement and tongue movement would be killer.

As for future content, as of now I have 4 stories written, each centered on 1 of the 4 girls. The specifics of the adult content will remain shrouded in mystery until release oOoOooo... but they'll range somewhere between mythological orgy and plain old missionary.
